When he switches from inside grip on the ankel to outside grip with the calve. Does he grip the pant leg or the leg itself? This is a very interesting move!

i have trouble @1:52 with my opponent continuing the roll and snatching a kneebar on the left leg. ideas?

That why I prefer this leg configuration over the stomp/car jack. Keep in mind, however, that every configuration comes with pros and cons. The shin shield across the opponent's body offers a buffer- adding an extra variable between your legs and your opponent's torso. In any variation, solid control and elevation of your opponent's hips will prevent them from gaining access to your legs. Additionally, you can always insert a twister hook and pull back your knee for extra safety. Hope this helps

Always make sure u have their hips on top of you, that’s key. Next, if they grab ur inner leg (the one which they usually kneebar), go for the crab ride immediately(tuck your outer leg under his), don’t hesitate. That way u can: A - push your knee out and end up in a perfect crab ride with all the grips setup; or B - if they hold too much u can simple chase the back (pull their back towards you), now they will have to let go or u can sneak in that ezekiel. Hope that helps!
