You say that it slows down when you move lanes but your speed shows a drop in 1km, yes it’s slowing down slightly but it’s not much. Having said that my Kia Optima does speed up very quickly when it is released from the car in front, which is better. I take it you can override the cruise control when you overtake, just touch the accelerator for a second or so and that will override the cruise, it will then speed up while you are overtaking, lift off the throttle and it will go back to the cruise, I guess this will work, it does on the optima. Thanks for the in depth video though, good job.

I have the E-Niro on order, but I find in my Volvo XC60 D5 R-Design Pro if I use my knee to tap the wheel gently the warning goes off. Permanent hands free. 😊

    1:25 I agree!.
Why would Kia program the Niro to reduce speed when changing lanes? That's stupid!!!

In my next video's I show the actual information screen on the lane keeping assistance. There you see what the car 'sees' If you keep a two 'blocks' distance the system does not have the tendancy to do it. You basicaly need to learn how to drive with it.

@@dutchkiae-nirodriver8449 So, as long as the two block distance is kept, it won't slow down when changing lanes?

@@iu2That looks to be the case. The distance is a bit long for my normal driving style, but the it works acceptable.

Why did you buy a Kia over other EVs, like the Tesla 3, Nissan Leaf, or Bolt? I would love to get the Kia but it doesnt have memory seats as an option here. Does yours have memory seats?
