You need to add a way to turn it off permanently. I recently hired a Kia and it tried to steer me into a truck on the M25 due to damp road reflecting road repair strips etc. It's also incredibly aggressive compared to my Jaguar. I had to turn it off so many times in a single day because it keeps defaulting back to active. On smaller busier roads I felt like I wasn't really in control while the system was active.

It is an amazing feature that alerts and helps you to stay in the proper lane provided other conditions remain constant.

I wish it wasnt on as default as It is unusable on local busy streets and I have to turn it off on every trip. Its very annoying, why cant I decide when I want to use it?

Love my new Ceed except for this feature. It is far too sensative and activates unexpecedly even when you are perfectly positioned within a country narrow lane. Flat out dangerous. I deactivate it every journey.

Why does Kia deactivate the steering assistance instead of stopping the car if a driver can’t reach a steering wheel?

What happens when you try to change lanes and you have this feature activated?
