They were on the edges of the road and acting safely. The other riders traveling too fast and not paying attention were the problem.
@@jamesadams2334 acting safely is not sitting on the exit of a highway. You gotta worry about your own safety. I ride too. I would have just exited off and worried about catching up after. God forbid some car is tryna catch the exit and clips you. Can’t be putting yourself in a situation where your more likely to get hit

That was some bad advice on crossing that cattle guard. To anyone who's come across railroad/tram tracks in a road, you know you never ride on them parallel, you cross em at a hard angle. They tend to have an ability to take over the steering of your bike. It would've been safer, if a little more bumpy, to have crossed the perpendicular rods. Her anxiety and hesitation didn't help either.
If she would have slowed down and just ridden across slowly she would not have lost control. Sh told him that she never did it before. Why didn't he slow down and ride across with her?

We decided it would be a swell idea to stop on the offramp at night and wait to get creamed..I mean for the other bikers. Wow 😳
Going over grates/cattle guards as well as RR Xings is easy (but scary for noobs). Even throttle, stay lose and don't do anything abrupt. I cross them all the time in Montana and I ride an Electra Glide as well as a couple sport bikes. Wet and dry. Never ever tense up on slick surfaces. You will! go down. Smooth, relaxed and steady. Glad she's ok and hope she does not loose the spirit of riding. Peace love and light yawl.
It’s a terrible feeling when you know you are going to run wide and crash but there is nothing you can do about it it except not speed into the corner in the first place
That's a common misconception. There is something you can and should do. Trail Brake and do it quickly and firmly. You would be amazed at how quickly you can slow down, turn in avoid these types of crashes if you knew how to trail brake.
Breaking is the most important skill. Knowing how to turn is a skill. These are all new to riding with out any knowledge of how the bike works. The one who said there was gravel in the road had hit the front break to hard and washed out the front.
I am not a rider, but I don't think motorbikes are that shitty on corners. It seems lack of training and speed for the crashes. Am I right?

ALWAYS pull off to the right and leave the left open when ever possible. Just like when passing on the highway. I am 57 and I was taught that when I first started riding in 1973.

@@jamesadams2334 Depends on the horse and your training regimen... Once a horse can understand that you would never put it in harm's way, and it CAN cross... It'll cross just fine. The first few times you may need to get down and lead and coax, but you do what you gotta do...
If the vid's any hint, however, even a horse flat refusing won't necessarily dump you and your stuff all over the hillside... SO you're still better off with the horse.

That fourth one around a minute in is where I live. Riding normally around there is sketchy let alone doing 90 mph. Dude got so lucky.

I notice a lot of young riders think that people on the roads actually give a fuck when they do stupid shit on the streets. They think they are on a stage with paying customers. My wife and I saw a guy on a Harley get killed trying to do a cool Harley peace sign while doing 70 around a curve. He lost it right into a pole.

Also, the leader told her the exact opposite of the right thing to do. You're not supposed to ride along the straight part. You should cross obstacles at 90°, if possible so the perpendicular lines would be the safest so they don't yaw your bike like that.

I'm just curious. How do the bike manufacturers market their bikes? "This bike is guaranteed not to break into more than 500 pieces during your first crash."
Either by torque spec' or by horse power and top-end speed... Nobody mentions how many pieces YOU or YOUR BIKE will be in for any crash.
Those who like serious "pick up" want torque numbers to be higher (whether they know or not) and top-end speed is sacrificed for gear ratios... AND those who want a serious top-end speed need the horse power but sacrifice "pick up" through the gearing (also whether they know or not)... ;o)

Can anyone explained what happened to Dr. Filippos crash? What happened to his bike that caused a high side?
I believe he was trying to catch up with the car in front and didn't realise it was making that turn so he slammed the rear brake which locked up, slid to the side, and then caught traction again and flipped him off in a high side.
