didn’t even realize this existed until i saw you make the post for it yesterday haha. was even more surprised to see that it was a base set!? i wonder why they make these new base sets randomly every now and then and not just make a big expansion, but either way i’ll be picking it up because some of these hero cards/masterminds seem really fun
Thanks for this video. I sold the base game long ago b/c Marvel Champions replaced this game but now I’m so tempted to get this version. I do not mind the artwork b/c it is still consider “cartoony” rather than Live action photos from the MCU. Glad to know they revised the solo mode.
Been hard passes on many of the releases lately using live action photos from the MCU and this fits the bill too. I just really like the original artwork they use. Just picked up Venom and Noir yesterday and looking to probably finish my colection with Champions and Messiah Complex and if X-Men ever get a reprint. Hope you have fun with this set yourself, but for me its a pass sadly.
I get that. I'm happy they didn't put the big logo on the front of the cards like they did the other MCU stuff. I do greatly prefer the original artwork as well but these don't bother me that much as long as the mechanisms are new and different. The sets you lists are some of my favorites tho.
I fully swapped out my strikes and twists. I like these ones a lot better. I took out 8 Maria hills and replaced with the new fury officers. I also replaced my starter cards. I swapped 15 wounds out for the new ones, and 15 basic bystanders for the new ones.
The Black Order were the security guards for the Collector’s zoo in the Star Lord T’Challa episode. ALSO: Definitely replacing my scheme twists with the ZSW twists. Way cooler.
22:10 i believe you’d get the liberate 3 AFTER you’d fight the first henchman. so you’d fight one, get the liberate 3, and could kill the other one for free since it’s have a bystander from the other drone. if that’s how it works that’s a sick combo
Awesome, thank you for the unboxing! I'm planning to pick this up at my FLGS soon. Also, I love the quality of your videos and playthroughs. Do you use webcams? Also, what setup do you use when you place cards to the side for a close-up?
Thanks for watching the playthroughs! I use two webcams. The overhead cam is a logitech brio and the upclose is a logitech c920. I have a small piece of neon green construction paper that's used as a green screen for the upclose shots.
Would this be a good place to jump in? Never played a legendary game. Like deckbuilders and eyed it before, but always felt like I’d start 10 expansions behind and newer games might do the same thing better, as people always complain about the setup time.

I suppose it's a way of attracting more new players? Looks like the new core sets could replace the big box expansions from now on.

Not a big fan of the art style for this set but I’m excited to see your playthroughs!
You could also use Adam Warlock or Namor rare cards to defeat Ultron when he has infinite attack.

I think I do the What If twists more too. I'm might swap them in every now and then.

I prefer the previous art faithful to the comics, this new one seems more animation. I didn't like it. The board is beautiful
I do prefer the comic artwork as well but the artwork from the show isn't too bad.
