while bro is spittin, i grew my audience on youtube with long form videos and my streams average around 110-150 viewers. Short form content will get you higher numbers faster but long form will build a stronger community sooner, which is what i cared more about
I used to post game in content, but just like you said it barely got any traction. Did my thing on twitch for a while that was OK but to be honest, I am not an over-the-top person. I’m genuine and I can be entertaining, but I’m not about to jump on top of my couch and screaming eel to the top of my lungs just to keep people watching my videos. If we got to do all of that, then it ain’t working in my opinion. Being someone that you’re not, it’s only gonna make you miserable in a long haul with content creation. We may not get a lot of viewers by being ourselves, but we will get the right viewers as time goes on who will accept us for us.
@@MyThoughtstoReality I feel you on that. I am playing around the the youtube thing for fun but I'm not really an on camera hyped type of person. Black Gamer here!! Slowly grinding, I’ve had videos do well and due to issues in my life, I didn’t capitalize on the success of those videos. Now, I’m trying to stay consistent and grow this channel and build a community!

U said 100% truth.. right now im focused on long form content until i get my pc to stream properly and i refuse to grow fast due to me acting out of character… personally i think if u want to be a chill type of streamer u have to bring something else like above average gameplay. It is hard though watching people blow up for screaming and breaking stuff while u do ur own thing, i understand it though.
Hi, you are so real and on point. The hype is ridiculous and the niche down do one thing only takes away from being an authentic creator. Your variety and growth and the branches on your tree of creativity, dancing, gaming, chilling etc., makes you and your content unique, interesting, and you make people smile and laugh, stay true to self that's what's up. Can you imagine telling a major television network not to change programing or add new shows in a different genre. Never did a stream or live so thanks for some real talk and insight. 💯💯💯
I'm still tryna find my groove on how i want my videos to be but the creative process is what makes it fun. the low numbers dont give much confidence tho
I completely agree with this. I try to just be myself on my TH-cam channel sometimes I have a lot of energy on stream and other time I barely talk and just vibe out with the people in my chat. It’s all about balance I let the day decide how I’m feeling. Also when you are good at the games you play you will eventually get great clips that you can post.
Stream 2025, I love your videos!!! I started a TH-cam gaming channel and I was worried about my energy so this video nailed it for me, I’m not going to fake being high energy at all, it does depend on what I’m playing, what’s happening in the game, etc. You be dropping gems and so relatable at least for me!
@@legendaryrich3 But you see most people are weird and wild like them. People put on a mask outside of their homes people you need to act "normal" for the work place and to fit in. People just arent as creative as the two.
Idk about streaming but for youtube it's all about titles, thumbnails and TIMING. If a big game gets revealed or the gameplay gets a trailer and it has other games in a franchise, putting a video as soon as a trailer comes out gives a better chance for your gaming vids to do good. Literally witnessed a couple of people blow up from Elden Ring on youtube and have successful channels. I thought that it is impossible in the beginning of the year until it started to work.
