Hello, I have a different question. IS the FJD Trion 1 the very best 3d Scanner obtain the most detailed results ? I come from a visual perspective and want to generate a scan of a building for a movie that looks high tech, very detailed and crisp. The more points the better. I have no Idea if the Trion is the best for this. Or is the solution to upscale afterwards with Topaz AI ?
The FJD Trion 1 is definitely a strong contender for high-detail scans, especially for architectural projects. It’s great to hear you’re focusing on visual quality for your movie! Upscaling with Topaz AI could also enhance your results, so it might be worth exploring both options.
It is very good for general use, but if you want the “very best” you will need fixed lidar scanners with sub mm resolutions. These units are regularly used for VFX on movies, but they cost up to and exceeding $500,000 USD for one scanner, and usually require dozens of scans to be taken from many locations. And long processing times. Also the very high resolution results in project file sizes that are in the tens to hundreds of TB
can you share me the pcd ? want to see the point cloud quality
Very professional as always
Thanks
I’m buying one soon too. How much was recap pro? Do you use the automated cloud to mesh feature?
