If a truck with 2inch bigger tyres goes before i do and digs holes, i'd never get through! You blokes out did yourselves on this one. great recovery. Cheers for sharing.
My youngest dog Alice can roll over and nap at any moment... should have named her Rover my oldest dog, Bumper passed yesterday, it's why I'm a lil late today. Thanks tons for cheering me up, sir
Tire pressure Is definitely a factor here, also most Wrangler Rubicon two doors would do better here. A longer wheelbase like on the 4 door models are a real killer on trails . I say hands down the Defender won this , but if you notice it’s tires were lower for the right crawling power . Ps Maxxis Trepador
I would never put any of my defenders through something like that unless it was extremely necessary. Wouldn't be so careful with an older wrangler though.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I think the defender has more torque than the others which gave it a slight advantage on this particular track, but it's also tippy! That said, it's damn durable, which makes it the best one in my mind for a real excursion.
I found myself screaming at the screen as he went over. My wife even ran into the room asking what was wrong lol. I’m glad it turned out okay. Thanks for the great shots
Intense. Yeah he was lucky to recieve minimal damage. We had a bit of a laugh telling him he wiped out half the side of the rig. Was so surprised when he came out and looked.
I don't have a disco, but I'm looking for an opportunity to buy one. My guess: disco is heavier, has slightly less articulation, and is slightly lower. Of course all these card are heavily modified, but a heightened Defender is still slightly taller and lighter then a heightened disco.
LROR It really depends on the rim and tire steel vs aluminum, & bias ply vs radial tires!!🤷♂️ To start, I usually run 10-15lbs as a good rule of thumb and adjust from there! Terrain plays into it too, as I’m in Washington state it’s a little wetter here, so lower psi works better! Bead lock rims can let you run lower pressure without breaking the bead, so there that too!! It’s all good and fun to play with as long as you make small adjustments
Machines can do the job or fail but I didn’t see any four wheelers experience, tyres pressure, guiding the drivers for the right line from multi sources, wrong winching for the defender and poor safety examples to be present to public ...
It's video. The owner said they were at 10psi. Everything is steeper than it looks due to video compression. And I think the Land Rover winching was spot on considering they got it upright and didnt cave in the bodywork
How come nobody's holding a beer? You guys are some pretty good wheelers for sure... but in America all those vehicles would have made it to the top and the trail would have been strewn with parts and Bogger tracks;)
Nice lazy lay down by the Defender, glad it was minimal damage. Frustrating watching the Disco though, needed to have just a tiny bit of momentum to bump the back wheels up those rocks instead of trying to climb them from a standstill.
Jeez, that was very painful to watch🤦♂️ good toys but need some serious driver training or just stick with moral support and some woo yeh's, that was cool💪 till something goes seriously wrong. Stay safe guys n learn from this video when you watch it back.
As some one who know nothing about this sport. It looks to me like they all had the necessary grunt but were let down by the grip. I think if they were fitted with proper all terrain tyres at 10 psi, they would have sailed up there.
Always awesome video's, when are you going to test the new defender? I think it lose his originality, it's like an evoque with 2" more inches of lift, but I would like to watch the new defender conquer the ladders
Great video again! Have to love 4x4s, I'm a defender fan but love all of them. What do you guys think about the INEOS Grenadier?? Hope it comes out as a good machine... Love your videos!
Thank you im glad you're enjoying our videos. Banter between the makes is good fun and we all have our favourite rigs but the main thing for us is to get out with good people and have a great time.
twice? the 1 have total roll cage on the roof and differen color license plate (white) , the second same bicolor but have a yellow plate and missing some cage bars on the roof... 2 different cars!!!
A Mercedes Benz Gelandewagen on that trail ? I don ‘t think so Each hit in the stones is thousands dollars in repairs Because its not best 4x4. Because its high value its not made for that

For that first 1.56 I had to actually put my phone down and give that off-roader AND the driver a hand 👏👏👏
Best "how not to" video I have seen in a long time 🙄
My youngest dog Alice can roll over and nap at any moment... should have named her Rover my oldest dog, Bumper passed yesterday, it's why I'm a lil late today. Thanks tons for cheering me up, sir
I knew the discovery wouldn't make it. That things too heavy 😂. I should know. I drive one too but I absolutely love it.
Looks like it’s more a question of wheelbase than weight to me...
Awesome driving guys
Awesome video. I would have taken a different line to the Jeep , air down more and use the front locker. Land Rovers are awesome tough.
Sometimes a few inches one side or the other is enough.
I was gonna say.. did the jeep even air down.. you can go down to 15psi with out bead locks.. probably would of made that first obstacle.. easy.
Yes!! I v subscribed right away, this defender got serious issues and the driver knows exactly what to do and when to.
Great video, gutsy! Missing the green machines....
Thanks buddy awesome effort by all. The green 110 is very close now to being back full time, im so looking forward to it 😊
Looks like everybody had a bit of fun, can't wait to get my Defender back and hit some tracks with it

Poor spotters. Stick that bolder that was rolling away back down in the hole and everyone gets up.
That's the point isn't it. He work. 👍
It's easy to watch and comment but to actually perform this is a different story. Good job to the Drivers & Spotters
great video...love to see a disco in action!
Not enough of them on film.
This one needs to be driven a bit better though.
Defender is the best 4x4 by far
They are so cool too 😎
Defender!!!👍💪
excellent 👍🏻🇫🇷
why didnt you pack some rocks and let you bloody tires down in steed of digging up the track???
Woowww very nice video!!
simple but love ur vids man!
Those guys are standing WAY too close around 18:20 when they're winching the Defender. D A N G E R O U S
I love land rover it is mi best
It's not about vehicle it's about driving skill

Great driving and well edited video with great camera angles. Well done!
Thank you 🍻

Seemed like you guys barely knew what to do with that winch. Awesome
We knew how to get it back on it's wheels without damage 👌👍
@@lror just.
Driver skill is not a fair comparison. Knowing how to offroad makes a big difference.
How come the Disco 2 was so bad but the Defender manages to pull those tricks, was it the driver? 🤔
Tires pressure.
I don't have a disco, but I'm looking for an opportunity to buy one. My guess: disco is heavier, has slightly less articulation, and is slightly lower. Of course all these card are heavily modified, but a heightened Defender is still slightly taller and lighter then a heightened disco.
Wheelbase more than anything on this one.
Does the jeep really has a plate that says CV fail (CVF 41L) or is it just a joke ?
Didn’t look like anyone had the proper air pressure to rock crawl 🤷♂️
I was thinking the same! Looks like street pressure 🤦🏼♂️
What pressures do you guys suggest for this terrain?
LROR It really depends on the rim and tire steel vs aluminum, & bias ply vs radial tires!!🤷♂️ To start, I usually run 10-15lbs as a good rule of thumb and adjust from there! Everyone was around the 10psi mark give or take a couple on the day. To bad video flattens the terrain and makes everything look flat.

Great video, wrong work with wi
Time for defender go to bed... ha ha! nice video.
Darn good drivers!!!
Where?
Wow! There's so many professional spotters and drivers in this comment section
It’s just a lucky coincidence I’m sure😂

THis is painful to watch . . .
Very...😢
if only there was a way to increase the foot print of those tyres. hmm
How come nobody's holding a beer? You guys are some pretty good wheelers for sure... but in America all those vehicles would have made it to the top and the trail would have been strewn with parts and Bogger tracks;)
Oh no not the defender, she looks like she's ok😁😁😁
Yeah so so lucky, a few light scratches on the rear quarter and ripped off number plates. Sat on the slider and awning 👌
Nice lazy lay down by the Defender, glad it was minimal damage.
Frustrating watching the Disco though, needed to have just a tiny bit of momentum to bump the back wheels up those rocks instead of trying to climb them from a standstill.

Check out Diariomotor, it's a Spanish channel I think but has subtitles he tested the new defender until it failed n failed n failed 😔
Love this video!
Nissan Patrol all the way!
🤣🤣🤣Nope.
@@stringer-ik1pc you mean dope🤣🤣🤣
Maybe deflating the tyres a little more might help?
Epic run guys, shame the defender went over. What engine is in the gu? Sounds mint.
I do hope that no trees we’re damaged during this hill climb
I feel like no spotters in this case would have been more useful than the ones that were actually talking
It's funny 👍

What's the rear bar on the disco? It looks good.
how many spotters were there
on the license plate of one of the cars, the hangler, we can read the word FAIL (F41L)
Very nich
Should have listed the tire and pressure...
look about 300 lb way to high can see it
@@jimmunro4649 yes sure, looked like no one of them aired down.
Owner has said everyone was at 10ibs, but video compression makes hill's look flatter and the tyre bulges look smaller
Wow, very difficult, too extreme.👍 It is better to drown in the mud.😂
😂
So gd
Sorry my lack of knowledge in Off road. But why do they break while going uphill?
If you mean pressing the brakes well just to get more control. This is very effective especially in an auto.
Hi Albert, as I only have a front locker in my patrol I jab the brake to help lock up the rear lsd while climbing
Thanks!
Id be changing seat cover after that 1 i reckon evo
Haha for sure
Im looking at some of these tracks thinking probley good chance big reds gonna tip lol
We'll start off small and get you used to the angles of Big Red and work our way towards the more difficult stuff.
Did the rubi and disco make it up or did they roll back down
They went back down.
The guy in the disco didn’t even have a clue
The defender did it twice while some couldn't even manage once. LR any day
twice? the 1 have total roll cage on the roof and differen color license plate (white) , the second same bicolor but have a yellow plate and missing some cage bars on the roof... 2 different cars!!!
What happened to the jeep?
Nothing.. It did what Jeeps always do. Reversed back and found a chicken track.

Is the challenge to not use a winch?
Where is Pinzgauer?
No Pinzgauer in this video buddy. We have 3 or 4 videos on the channel with them, here's one to start of with th-cam.com/video/kCKaaEVTanY/w-d-xo.html
@@lror Hi mate
I saw videos vith pinzgauers.
What do you think about them? Wich is better for ofroad, Landrover or Pinzz?
Hard to say each has its place but the Pinzgauer is probably more capable in stock form and can be decked out really nicely for touring/camping.
@@lror In Serbian army, we have Pinz. Great ofriad wehicle
What rims are on the first defender?

Looks like pretty poor spotting.. ....
Every bit helps.
It happened so fast i doubt spotting would have changed a thing
i'll second that with regards to the quality of spotting. Both before and after it rolled spotting was horrible.
Seems they've lasted too long - time to break 'em!
😲😮👏👏👏👏👍👍👍✊
👌👌👍
Petrol ❤️
tyres on all to high see on rocks
landrover defender
LS engine mean Chevy LS?
The machinery they have can do the job. The problem is skills not enough.
Good God man .....Get some bigger tires on that jku ...learn to wheel for krikes sakes
Way too much air in those tires. That Rubicon shouldn't have more than 15 PSI and with front and rear locked should have walked up that rock.
Ouch... Vehicle murder😢
🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh dear.... not how we do it over here in the UK, when they are stuck like that defender we just leave em to grow wild 🤣🤣
🤣
No 80 cruisers in the group ?
18.36 - if that wire snapped it would decapitate all those muppets standing so close.
Well, Defender survived.....just
"I've got the handbrake on" lol
a defender handbrake doesn't do anything anyways😂
A Mercedes Benz Gelandewagen on that trail ? I don ‘t think so Each hit in the stones is thousands dollars in repairs Because its not best 4x4. Because its high value its not made for that

painfull
They were never designed for this and will be badly damaged crazy.
I think your missing the point
This is exactly what there made for not for shopping
Jeeps number plate is CV FAIL, hahaha
20 guys with hands in the bags watching their friend in trouble pulling' the winch....you guys really suck!!! PUSH HIM A LIL BIT!!! COM'ON!!!!
Landcruiser? Why there no cruiser?
For terrorists
let your tires down next time and pack some rocks and you may not dig bloody track up
It’s too much about drivers
I would not damage my vehicle in this way
