Keep up the good work, Preston, you will be teaching mechanic skills to your friends! One of my sons when asked by his friend as they worked on the friend's car, "How do you know all this?" My son's answer, "Simple, righty tighty, lefty loosey!" Hope to see you on the trails!
Good job, great team work. Mr. Preston you do a great job at being a working supervisor. Preston I have a 88 XJ that I'm working on but haven't gotten as far along as you guys have yet. Like your dad, I need an extra pair of hands. Have fun and stay safe.
Forgot one thing! The straight pin with a long tapered flat along one side and a nut on one end and used to hold the British bicycle crank arms to their axle was called a cotter pin. How we got that name on an item that looks like pin that is split remains to be seen. Probably had something to do with our dumping their tea in the harbor! Never heard if the fishies squired the taste, though!
Love it guys! My wife had a 1997 XJ Sport back when we got married... I wish we never sold it. Sandbox is an awesome truck!
TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE THOUGH! 🤑 My old Dodge Ram with a 360 V8 gets the same or better.
Thanks! XJs are pretty sweet for the price. I've already told my wife this Sandbox will be a family heirloom and can't be sold.
Seriously though. 12mpg at the moment. Hoping that improves w/ the new senor and throttle body cleaning.

That's sound advice from your son right there!
Well done father son team professional installation! Great suggestion Preston drilling the side plates
The kiddo really is full of good ideas
So now you have to go out and get stuck to test it out. Looking great. God Bless
Thanks 👍 That's the plan!

Thanks 👍 An extra pair of hands really does help. Good luck on your build!
Great job! 👍
Thanks!
I need a hat like Prestons when I am cruising my ZJ.
It’s one of Preston’s favs. Found it at a beach shop down in Pensacola FL
nice job Preston, good call on cutting holes in those slide plates, much cleaner install. Bumper looks good. We call them cotter pins here.
Thanks! I learned a long time ago to trust Preston when it comes to car stuff. The kid's a gearhead thru and thru lol
