  • It's been a year since we planted our new French black truffle, Périgord truffle in the food forest and our saplings in our tree nursery! In this video, Katie and Adele cover how the trees have developed and share what happened over this period of growth.
Whether you're a seasoned tree enthusiast or just curious about the process, there is something here for everyone! Happy planting!

The birds (and in turn the people) will thank you for all the native trees :)

Why eucalyptus.. that's the worst thing one could grow unless you are looking for harvesting to make money

Oh! Why is it one of the worst things to grow?

@@bangadangfarm Eucalyptus trees don't share well with others. These trees quickly absorb nutrients and water from the soil, leaving other plants thirsty and malnourished.
Also, Many plants produce compounds that will inhibit or stop the growth of nearby plants to better compete for nutrients, sunlight, and other resources. This phenomenon is known as allelopathy. Black walnut, maple, pine, and eucalyptus are some better-known examples of this.
