Same here. He gives Howard such grief over the series about being an Engineer and not having a PhD, but in that moment though he couldn't introduce Howard as Doctor he still used the highest title he could apply to Howard.
Especially since it was the achievement Howard was most proud of....and one that Sheldon himself even said he kinda envied him for. Definitely one of the most touching endings to a series I've seen. Anytime it just happens to be on tv, I still watch it and it still tugs at the heart.
In particular since the way he says it shows that for the first time he truly means it in a respectful way. I remember him having previously told Howard how he'd wanted to be an astronaut and was frustrated when Howard got to go... because apparently they'll let just anyone up there. Here, it's clear he means it as a title of respect, and a form of apology for the constant denigration.
It certainly adds depth to Sheldon's character @@TheChamp91100 that he will be a shit later on but inside he does love them. People with such conditions can be like that and as painful they are to others, we need to provide just a little leeway.

I like how while Amy is speaking Sheldon seems spaced out, but i like to think hes looking over at his friends and realizing how important they are to him
i ;thought the same thing. it was then he realized his speech was not what he really wanted to say, but he wanted to show recognition to the reason he was there, that he really wasn't alone the whole time, it was more than just him
if you have seen the last few episodes of episodes of Young Sheldon season 7 you can say that he's probable thinking the different ways this moment can branch into as he is spaced out and chose the one that he wouldn't regret
The greatest achievement or discovery of Sheldon in TBBT is not the Nobel prize or Super Asymmetry but his realization of how precious his friends and family are
I always found it interesting that Howard was a catalyst for a lot of emotional moments in the series... The death of his mother, the letter from his father, his launch into space, and Sheldon finally acknowledging him as an astronaut.
Anyone notice how much Howard himself matures with each emotional moment he faces. I mean when he is first introduced he has the emotional maturity of a high school freshman. But over time his character grows to become a great man, matching his professional accolades. I mean yeah he's still the fun loving SCIFI watching/comic book reading/video game playing geek we all grew to love but after his marriage to Bernadette and the birth of thier child and his going to space and losing his mom, he matures more and more.
@@buttonfire6663 yep. The "I'm gonna be silent about it and I'll use it against you when you mess up" mentality. He also had "I'm going to be silent about it and will tell you when it would cause you the most pain" like when he told Leonard Penny was getting rid of his collectibles. Lol. I'd like to think Howard was the one who had the most growth on the show, but his humor did not decline. Props to Simon Helberg for that!
My eyes filled with tears when after all this time, Sheldon announces “Astronaut Howard Walowitz”. You have to be a BBT junkie to truly appreciate how beautiful that moment was.
Just love it how Sheldon visibly evolves several years emotionally during Amy's speech. Everything he's planned on saying since he was a boy just vanishes, as he finally sees his friends properly for the first time.
When they started cheering for him, I think is when he changed what he would say. They have been behind him every step of the way: his friend, tolerating him, putting him in his place. They loved him despite his flaws.
This ending was tear jerking to say the least. I love how they developed every single characters. Howard went from being a creep to being a responsible family man. Raj went from lacking any kind of confidence around women, to being completely confident. Penny went from an aversion to commitment to being a mom and a wife. Leonard also went from low confidence with Mommy issues to forgiving his mom and being a dad. Amy went from being a Female version of Sheldon to a thoughtful and friendly fun loving young woman. And Sheldon went from being fully self centered unaware of anyone's feelings to a character whose final words made a whole bunch of us cry with his heart felt words. What an amazing show and ending. Thank you BBT for years of laughter culminated with seconds of tears!
@@raul2rst Raj was mentioned second after Howard ;-) @Amrita Sridhar, you are right, Bernadette has always been a strong character on the show, she deserves her place so much there. During the second season of tbbt, my husband was dealing with kidney failure and congestive heart disease. So we both were very anxious and scared at this time, but watching tbbt gave us an escape and a reason to laugh. To look over at my husband full on belly laughing at the show was the highlight of a week that was sometimes very bleak. I know some people might dismiss sitcoms as mindless entertainment, but it was a lifeline for us both. So thank you to the cast and writers.
I second your thoughts. It has been with me too.Whenever I feel depressed I feel that nothing could cheer me up but then I watch TBBT and bam,I laugh so hysterically at their jokes that even I surprise myself. It's really been a saviour for me too.
It’s actually impressive the role Penny have in the hole series. She’s the glue to the characters development. She made significant changes in Sheldon, showing how loving She can be, It’s was her who presented Howard to Bernadette, She made Rajesh talk to girls and be more confident in the long run and also became best friends with Amy, who had never been friends with anybody before. This show is so special to me.
Yes, it's actually the premise on which the series begins: Some guys that by meeting a charming girl change their own lifes forever. It's really wonderful that they stayed true to that principle throughout the whole run.
@LuMartinelli i see what you're coming from, but I like to see it as more of "if you open yourself up to new/different experiences/people, your life might improve/change in ways you could never foresee". Ofc Hollywood chose the person to be a beautiful woman because they're Hollywood, but, you know, we can't have everything.
@@tdcfc Hey.. Let's give Penny the credit she deserves.. The writer didn't make her character OP.. She has flaws too.. Shes not tidy, sarcastic, and obvious drinking problem. She's not just a charming pretty face.
I couldn't help but notice how emotional they all were, and I'm positive that was from the actors themselves... Notably Kaley and especially Johnny, you could see on their faces how emotional they were getting! What an amazing way to end the series! Also, "Astronaut Howard Wolowitz" wow! So good! 😭
@Donny Trumplodyte Agreed! Also that Office scene not long after, where it seems Jim is not saying goodbye to Michael but to Steve himself, John and Steve are tearing up and you can tell its not acting
If you look on TH-cam for the final table read for this scene, you can see how emotional they were. They did well to keep it all together for the filming of it.
@@MegaJSK123 Given that it's a multi-cam show, shot in front of live audience & it's shot in sequence [for the most part], it's not surprising most of their emotions might as well be real. Like the goodbyes & all. It literally was their last day of filming together.
i also hav noticed that they get teared up as well, and i also get tears cause i loved this show, i even saw then at comic con which made it even better
Small detail but notice how the placement of the actors was perfect. Penny and Leonard were Sheldon's closest friends, so they had to be introduced last. Raj was mentioned first as "Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali" so the audience could understand how Sheldon was addressing his friends: by their formal titles. Bernadette was introduced next as another "Dr.," and since couples sat together, we knew Howard was next. Throughout the series, we all know about how Sheldon constantly insults Howard's shortcomings and lack of a PhD. This ultimately made us question how he would address Howard, which built up the suspense. And that was when Sheldon's character arc came full circle: he finally showed gratitude and addressed one of his best friends with their highest title: "Astronaut, Howard Wolowitz." Brilliantly done.
I'll say, my generations sitcoms are some of the best. The office, parks and recs, how I met your mother and the big bang theory are amazing writing. I met the actor who plays Raj at a night club in 2016, he was accompanied by one of the most gorgeous blondes. So it's wild that his character was a successful bachelor and he wasn't far from that in real life. The speech also makes perfect sense because they've all be co stars for years and are actual friends.

I highly recommend to anybody to watch all the seasons back-to-back I love this show and I love the characters
I cried like a BABY!! Honestly the best series finale of all time. Kudos to the writers, it was perfect. Not only was the humor classic Big Bang (early seasons) but the way they wrapped it up was outstanding. Brilliant.
You have to see all 12 seasons to realize how amazing it is to hear Sheldon say these words. This may be the only sitcom in history with a worthy ending.. Never thought I would find myself tearing up over a show made by Chuck Lorre but somehow I did.
I think you're absolutely right! The good part is that they made the decision to end it when it needed to end. It probably could have ended a couple seasons earlier, but the fact that they made the decision when Jim Parsons said he was going to leave to actually end the show instead of trying to continue it meant that they could write the last season as a proper last season. They could tie up all the loose ends, they could make sure everyone had their character arc finished, and give us this incredible ending.
Every bit of Sheldon speech hits me in the feels. I absolutely love how he introduces Howard as an astronaut, and in his apology, Howard is the first person he mentions. This was such an amazing way to end the series. It wrapped it up beautifully.
The most emotional moment for me was when he referred to Howard as Astronaut. Through the entire show Sheldon mocked him for not being a Dr. and so I expected him to just call him Mr. But this shows just how much Sheldon developed and how much admiration he truely had for his friend
Well maybe he called him an astronaut because he finally has something he felt is bigger than being an astronaut. If he didn't win the Nobel prize, he wouldn't have ever acknowledged Howard as an astronaut

The smile on Howard's face when Sheldon said astronaut Howard Wolowitz made me tear up 🥺 he finally gave Howard the respect he deserves. What an incredible ending to a brilliant show.
You can see how everybody was holding back tears, especially Amy. The last joke in the show was telling Penny’s parents that she was pregnant, and the beginning of the show was awkward Leonard meeting Penny. It really shows how far they have come, Howard finally found someone who deeply loved him, Raj started talking to women, Leonard found a faithful wife, and Sheldon actually found someone who he actually did love. @@Ghostrider-ul7xn yes I’ve always thought that it was kind of sad that it ended with a cliffhanger for his relationship. I do agree and think the writers should’ve gave him true love, as he would’ve deserved it the most throughout the desperate attempt in the whole show.

It seems you're the only one pointing to the fact "I haven't been the friend you deserve", goes all the way back to the first episode when Leonard showed to rent the apartment and was greeted by Sheldon. Also, Penny was always transparent to what Sheldon's friendship off and on screen meant to her (even in the previous year's real life awards for the series). Hands down the best series in modern era. Clean and smart humor will be hard to top in the future. Thank you, Big Bang Theory cast, and producers. What a great show. 🤗
To understand the importance of this speech you must understand the personalities of the characters, especially the Sheldon-Howard part...Whoever wrote this scene deserves a payrise..In it`s own way it was a masterpiece.."Astronaut" or "I love you all"...these words have weight from Sheldon....
To understand the importance of the speech, you simply have to listen and be a person who has seen the show. It is not that profound. It is sweet and touch, yet very easy for most people to comprehend.
It's coz we all thought, after he said "doctor Bernadette", that he'll mock Howard as usual, but he didn't. It surprised the audience (us). That's when I also couldn't hold it in no more
I like the "Astronaut, Howard Wolowitz" part the best. After giving him so much hell for not being a doctor the entire series, he finally acknowledges Howard's accomplishments. I guess you see it a bit from Sheldon when Howard launches into space, but this is Sheldon embracing that they are indeed equals.
Nah.... Is that Buffy the Vampire Slayer? THAT was inspired comedy. That's my favorite moment. The rest of it was "just" the usual SUPERLATIVE writing and acting that we expect from TBBT. I miss that show. But interestingly....I'm now binge watching the first 4 seasons of Young Sheldon, and came to this TH-cam video because of of the scene at the end of the second season, where his Meemaw's boyfriend, Dr. Sturgis, realizes he will never win the Nobel Prize, but is positive that Sheldon will. So I needed to see this scene again...

Amy's speech is so much more wholesome when you know the actress is a scientist herself. It is almost as though she is speaking to the audience and telling young girls to follow their dreams just as she did.
@Yassine EL AZMI yes. Even Sheldon's speech speaks to some people. I grew up serious, rather selfish and egocentric. I struggled with a pretty dysfunctional family really close, possibly worse than the family on young sheldon. I still have so much for people whom I care about despite being so bad at showing it. @@ResolvedMC The best thing is to learn from everywhere. Its sad that some people dont realise they cant learn from everywhere and only has to pertain to certain areas to learn from.
When he called Howard an astronaut, that's what got the hardest. For the longest time he would say he isn't an astronaut and then uses his big speech to call him one. Love this show.
1.) Howard singing for Bernadette on anniversary 2.) Beverly hugging Leonard and showing her deepest affection and regretting for not caring enough 3.) Sheldon seeing the tape recording of his father's motivational speech and getting back to super asymmetry 4.) This scene LITERALLY had a strong impact on my heart and mind.... Raj is the most adorable character on this show. Well done TBBT.. best sitcom ever
When Sheldon said that their kids were gonna be smart and beautiful just like Leonard said in the beginning some very manly tears showed up. What a great ending! ❤️
He told his father that he would mention him in his nobel prize speech and here he did... I love those little details that combine TBBT with Young Sheldon
What I love about this scene is how it brings everything around. At the end of the pilot episode, Leonard declared to Sheldon that his and Penny’s babies would be smart and beautiful, while Sheldon skeptically says “Not to mention imaginary.” 12 years later, Leonard and Penny are expecting their first child, and a once-skeptical Sheldon has no doubt that his best friends’ children will smart and beautiful. What a ride.
It's also proof, as this happens in real life many times, that love at first sight IS true, especially for Men who have probably millions of times seen a woman Soo beautiful, so heavenly gorgeous, so Angelically and physically perfect that he's literally rendered speechless and knows instantly "There's my wife and mother to my children" and it actually happens. These are feelings that women overall just can NEVER understand about the attraction, visual, physical and otherwise that Men can and do have for them. Sadly all they want to do is exploit it but I digress. It was great to see Leonard end up with Penny. He probably has Pria to thank for that as she was quite jealous of her and it made Penny view Leonard as much more of a catch when those two got serious. That's when she realized she screwed up and wanted Leonard back.
7x21: Penny brings Sheldon to a fortuneteller and she tells him: you are in a relationship, once you will commit to this woman, all your other pursuits will bring to focus. you will find happiness. She is going to be the key for personal and professional happiness. HERE WE ARE! Married and with a Nobel prize
yeees, they started the talk about super asymmetry on their wedding day, which is considered to be the acknowledgment and celebration of a couple's commitment to each other.
While I would want to agree on this imagination, reality is that scenes are never shot in order. Therefore the last day of filming is usually not the ending scene
The big bang theory has its ups and downs, some episodes were good some were really bad but I'd say that this is one of best and the most satisfying ending I've ever seen in a series.
König Bob-Omb I watched it from the very beginning and all the way until the very end, and for me, the last 3 seasons were hard to watch. What made it hard for me, was that they were just too old and their jokes were getting old. I truly feel it had 3 seasons too many. But, I will say that this ending was the greatest series finale of all time.

I like how Sheldon kept looking at his friends after he noticed that they were still there, especially when they had a huge fight prior and everyone said they were all leaving. And when Amy was giving her speech, Sheldon was looking at his medal, then at his friends the entire time. And from his speech, you could tell during the time he was looking at them, he was feeling so grateful and thankful for the friends who tolerated him and stayed with him, and that's how he managed to come up with such a wonderful speech with his heart felt words. And I like how he pointed at Penny when he asked her to stand, its like she is the special one out of all his dearest friends. Before I started watching this show, I watched this clip and couldn't understand why people cried watching this scene. Just like someone who commented before, you gotta watch all 12 seasons to get this scene. I was totally bawling when I reached this scene. I am glad I decided to watch this show.
Best ending ever. All through out the episode he was whining to his friends about his moment being taken and not celebrated by them. Then, at the end he shared his MOMENT with his friends...talk about character development up to the last moment. 😭
Yeah, it made a few appearances through out the series. When they had prom on the rooftop and Howard and Bernie's wedding are the two that are coming to mind atm.
As much as I love the speech Jim gives as sheldon (makes me cry) but I really feel the true emotion of Mayim speaking about pursuing a career in science as a girl. She knows what it feels like and I love that she gets to showcase her real love for it.
As a biologist and a woman, same here. Amy came on the show just after my 11th birthday, and I had already known for years that I wanted to be a scientist. Amy honestly gave me the confidence that I could do whatever I wanted in stem, ESPECIALLY after I learned Mayim was a scientist herself. That was revolutionary for me. So glad this show existed
@@soumaiseu2470There is still the mindset around, that women can't do maths oe any science at all. Or that women are stupid in general. Or simply should not pursue a career at all. So there are things that keep women from stem fields.
I love the speech. It shows the character development that Sheldon had gone throughout the series. And the fact that he acknowledged Howard as an astronaut is so touching, since he degraded him for being an engineer. And when he expressed his love, the moment was so sweet.
I just love that Sheldon's dream of winning the Nobel wasn't at all how he ever imagined it would be like! Early in the series, he couldn't be bothered to team up with even his friends for a physics bowl, he had to have all the glory to himself. He loathed the idea of Leslie solving his problems and having to share a Nobel with her. Now in the last few seasons, he worked with Howard and Leonard for the Air Force, wrote a paper with Leonard, and worked on super-asymmetry with his wife! And up there on that stage, all eyes on him where everyone expects him to talk about himself (which at this moment, very justified), he instead talks about his friends and shares his love for them. He couldn't give Howard permanent use of his spot on the couch, wanted all the collectibles in his and Leonard's old apartment, etc, but at the height of his achievement, he gave the spotlight to his family!
I cry everytime I watch this. The growth of sheldon is so heartwarming. The way Howard and him have always butted heads but at the end he acknowledges Howard as Astronaut Howard Wolowitz. Jim Parsons is an incredible actor.
You got to admit, it was an amazing speech. The part where sheldon called Howard astronaut, was the part he stopped being a child and recognised Howard’s effort and work. The man child is finally grown up =)
I love how Sheldon stands and takes a look at the Nobel Prize. Thinking to himself "was it all worth it? Did i have to treat my friends badly for the Nobel Prize? I have been a jerk."

I never gave up on it. But the show more than redeemed itself with the finale. It was classic Big Bang with a brilliant ending. Nailed it.

Sheldon had his "Don Quixote" moment. At the end of his life, Cervantes' hero also had an epiphany and apologized for all the wrongs he did in his life... Sheldon literally shone the spotlight on his his friend at HIS moment of glory... And what Amy said, I believe actress Mayim Byalik could have said it for herself, since she holds an advanced degree in Neuro-Biology herself... All in all, a good finale.
@ Boris C And in doing so brought the spot light back to himself in the best possible way. He finally relized that no one persons success is acheived on their own. Many people will have something to do with it along the way. Just my opinion.
If he needed to it would not have taken just four minutes. Truth is... they knew how he felt I think. But to hear him say it... well I would call it akin to someone you always cared for and you knew cared for you saying they love you. You might know it... but hearing it is something special.
would disagree 1000% - the monster that will be born from actually winning will treats his friends even worse than before. The only reason Amy is with Sheldon is because being with him created a tumor in her brain that altered her personality

i ;thought the same thing. it was then he realized his speech was not what he really wanted to say, but he wanted to show recognition to the reason he was there, that he really wasn't alone the whole time, it was more than just him
The way he looks down at the medal and realizes is just “🥹🥹🥹”
Dang. Here I was thinking he was thinking…is that Buffy the vampire slayer? And also what you said too
Couldn't agree more.
if you have seen the last few episodes of episodes of Young Sheldon season 7 you can say that he's probable thinking the different ways this moment can branch into as he is spaced out and chose the one that he wouldn't regret
The greatest achievement or discovery of Sheldon in TBBT is not the Nobel prize or Super Asymmetry but his realization of how precious his friends and family are
Very well said 👍
Super 'symmetry' surely
Sheldon's friends saved him from a trip to the mental institution.
They write in books also as introduction that they thank family and friends
He said very little about his wife .
.
I always found it interesting that Howard was a catalyst for a lot of emotional moments in the series... The death of his mother, the letter from his father, his launch into space, and Sheldon finally acknowledging him as an astronaut.
His song to Bernadette...
Anyone notice how much Howard himself matures with each emotional moment he faces. I mean when he is first introduced he has the emotional maturity of a high school freshman. But over time his character grows to become a great man, matching his professional accolades. I mean yeah he's still the fun loving SCIFI watching/comic book reading/video game playing geek we all grew to love but after his marriage to Bernadette and the birth of thier child and his going to space and losing his mom, he matures more and more.
the confession after Raj spoke out Howard's scandals on bachelor party, and howard gave a sincere speech to get Bernadette back
And the fact that he knew that Bernadette was hiding outside the house yet he had no problem with it
@@buttonfire6663 yep.

Underrated comment. I felt exactly this way in that moment during Amy's speech

It literally was their last day of filming together.
i also hav noticed that they get teared up as well, and i also get tears cause i loved this show, i even saw then at comic con which made it even better
i'm always getting emotional when he says "Astronaut Howard Wolowitz"
And that was when Sheldon's character arc came full circle: he finally showed gratitude and addressed one of his best friends with their highest title: "Astronaut, Howard Wolowitz."
Brilliantly done.

The good part is that they made the decision to end it when it needed to end. It probably could have ended a couple seasons earlier, but the fact that they made the decision when Jim Parsons said he was going to leave to actually end the show instead of trying to continue it meant that they could write the last season as a proper last season. He told his father that he would mention him in his nobel prize speech and here he did...
I love those little details that combine TBBT with Young Sheldon
I came from young Sheldon to this
What I love about this scene is how it brings everything around. At the end of the pilot episode, Leonard declared to Sheldon that his and Penny’s babies would be smart and beautiful, while Sheldon skeptically says “Not to mention imaginary.”
12 years later, Leonard and Penny are expecting their first child, and a once-skeptical Sheldon has no doubt that his best friends’ children will smart and beautiful.
Not to mention imaginary. So incredibly funny!
I still cant stop watching this show. Perfectly done. I still watch every episode every season every day.
7x21: Penny brings Sheldon to a fortuneteller and she tells him: you are in a relationship, once you will commit to this woman, all your other pursuits will bring to focus. you will find happiness. Right on! Forgotten about that and how it tied to the end. Nice. 🤓👍
I don't know how BBT incorporated the concept of prophecy like in GOT

König Bob-Omb I watched it from the very beginning and all the way until the very end, and for me, the last 3 seasons were hard to watch. What made it hard for me, was that they were just too old and their jokes were getting old. I truly feel it had 3 seasons too many. But, I will say that this ending was the greatest series finale of all time.
@@christopherbanuelos4780 Personally, I think the show didn't decline AS much
@@christopherbanuelos4780 it should have ended in season 10, like friends. They chewed all the meet from the bone and with the last seasons they were just licking.
@@chmzzzly i think the one when leonard saw the famuse pepole becuase penny was need to see him in 1th aprill and sheldon didn't believe to penny and leonard told him where to go and he lie to him I didn't like this episode so mutch but its not so bad
She was the only one that ended loving sheldon entirely by how he is, everyone else, loved sheldon but still kinda wanted him to be "normal"
Best ending ever. All through out the episode he was whining to his friends about his moment being taken and not celebrated by them. Then, at the end he shared his MOMENT with his friends...talk about character development up to the last moment. 😭
Yeah he had a vegeta moment
Amy was wearing the tiara sheldon gave her before 💕
Wow I didn't catch that
That's awesome made me cry again
Yeah, it made a few appearances through out the series. When they had prom on the rooftop and Howard and Bernie's wedding are the two that are coming to mind atm.
And gave her a little kiss
@@misslisa1120 also i guess she wore the tiara during her own wedding too
Good eye!
As much as I love the speech Jim gives as sheldon (makes me cry) but I really feel the true emotion of Mayim speaking about pursuing a career in science as a girl. She knows what it feels like and I love that she gets to showcase her real love for it.
Exactly. Mayim’s true love for science shines brilliantly in her alter ego’s speech. What a fantastic series finale.
I like how her voice kinda shook. Made it so real.
Even tho there is nothing in the way preventing woman to be scientists? Other than themselves and their choices
This is one of the best emotional scenes I ever watched in my entire life. Every time I watch it, tears start running.
Cry? LMAO. It's a t.v. show. Get REAL
@@BAKER22-l4u You have a real problem, dear stranger.

@BBAKER22 yes, cry. It's called having human emotion.
“I apologize if I haven’t been the friend you deserve”! CAN’T HOLD THE TEARS😭😭😭😭😭😭😤😓😥😰TOO STRONG!!!!!
i love you all is what really broke me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 and penny holding her tears , my eyes got so wet 😭😭😭😭😭
This makes me so emotional everytime. Sheldon's love for his friends was so pure.
You got to admit, it was an amazing speech. The part where sheldon called Howard astronaut, was the part he stopped being a child and recognised Howard’s effort and work. The man child is finally grown up =)
2:56 I love that he recognized Howard for not being an engineer but acknowledged him as a astronaut, he may harp on Howard a lot but there’s respect

I love how Sheldon stands and takes a look at the Nobel Prize. Thinking to himself "was it all worth it? Did i have to treat my friends badly for the Nobel Prize? I have been a jerk."
No that's you and being is surely a bad thing for you and so many others that's why you suffer
The Character Development of Sheldon, in The Final Scene Completely Shows For Itself Why Jim Parsons, Got a Golden Globe! One of The Most Prestigious Awards!!
I just loved this scene. A different Sheldon, giving honor to his amazing friends. OMG, I can watch this ending a hundred times and cry each time. Thanks for such a great TV series.
Sheldon’s dad is very proud
If only George was still alive, he would be proud of Sheldon . So will Missy, Georgie and Mrs. Cooper and so will Veronica
when this whole episode came out and this scene came on i bailed my eyes out because i know that Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj, Bernadette loved sheldon even though he gave them a rough time but they still loved him for who he was
Your eyes bailed on you?
This is IMO the best ending to a series ever. I have been a huge fan of BBT and I will miss it huge.
Agreed. Not to mention, the greatest comeback of all time. I started watching Big Bang from season 1, and though it got really hard to keep watching past season 8, I stuck with it. I never gave up on it. But the show more than redeemed itself with the finale. It was classic Big Bang with a brilliant ending. Nailed it.
Hockey Nutt Me too!
Ehmmm, breaking bad
Listening to his speech made me feel like I didn't just finish one of my favorite series, it felt like I just lost my friends too. It was a good run, I will never forget them. 08.08.2020
Like you've lost friends? LMAO.. It's a t.v. show. Nothing more
@@BAKER22-l4u you’re literally like the grandparent that your grandkids don’t ever want to be around
People hate this ending, but remember Sheldon came from not wanting to be around a single person, to honoring those he became close with. That's the meaning of the ending
This is how you end a series! Looking at you game of thrones
Oh Your going to the Wall now.
lol
Shame.
😂😂
Or How I Met Your Mother or apparently Dexter or Girls
" i have been encouraged, sustained, inspired and tolerated, not only by my wife, but by the greatest group of friends anyone ever had.
I'd like to ask them to stand"
Best tribute ever ❤❤❤❤❤
THAT, my friends, is how you wrap up a television series. Brilliant writing and acting.
I didn't even watch this show very much and Sheldon's speech still made me tear up!
All in all, a good finale.
and then Sheldon will promptly go back to treating his friends like crap
@@alloxxxsaurus no he won't.
@ Boris C
And in doing so brought the spot light back to himself in the best possible way. He finally relized that no one persons success is acheived on their own. Many people will have something to do with it along the way. Just my opinion.
@@alloxxxsaurus After 12 seasons of childish berating, I do not accept his apology. Seeking therapy with Leonard's mom would be the proper apology.
@@commandercaptain4664 smashing oth his skull and Leonard's mom's skull with a baseball bat would be appropriate apologies
Sheldon really is a genius: it took him only FOUR MINUTES, to completely make up, for his last TEN YEARS....
I love how he says Astronaut Howard, not Engineer Howard,
Or just "MIT trained" gets me every time
When I first watched it I was expecting him to just say “Howard wolowitz” and play it like a joke the way they have in the past, this was much better
Why couldn't he have said "Astronaut AND ENGINEER Howard Wolowitz"?
One of the greatest speeches any human being could give to his/her friends, whom he/she loves. Family is very special and one thing, friends ACCEPT you and are another...
When he said " I want you to know in my way. I love you all" That sent chills.... When he finally realized they didn't achieve their accomplishments on their own. It applies to real life. the Accomplishments that you achieve in life, somebody has helped you get there.
Chills? Really? LMAO.
