    1. Legend: 00:00
    2. Nostalgia: 11:56
    3. Dream Odyssey: 23:50
    4. Unseen Harbor: 31:51
    5. A Quiet Place (Together We Go): 45:58
After years of exploring, searching ourselves, and composing pieces here and there, we found ourselves with more questions than answers.
When we could not find these answers in the outside world, we were bound to turn inward. And so we went back to our roots.
This is something we wanted to do while we still have the chance. What cannot be explained in words to parents, we hope can be captured by these songs.
We hope that this album serves as a gift from child to parent. While everything else continues to change, this love remains a constant throughout time. (MONO)

This whole album is like a child who can't find the words to thank their parents expressing their gratitude with song instead... which may be the point of it, but I absolutely love it!

all these songs with lyrics about drugs, sex, abuse, and who got shot in the hood .. when we have genres like this.. just the sounds bring you through a journey, the one you make . it is truly a blessing i love instrumental music , every song does not tell a story, but creates one. let your mind wander, and adventure to this beautiful silent ballad

    - Wow, this is a very good composer. Who is it? It has a Beethoven vibe.
    - It's a japanese band, four people named MONO.
    - Wow. They are very very talented.
A dialogue between my grandpa and I after lunch. When he passed away earlier this year, this album was the first thing I listened. Thanks, MONO.

This music is so sad, i come here whenever i want to feel, sometimes i come when i'm sad, and it makes me sadder, but at the same time, it makes me so happy. It's full of hope and emotions. I don't think there's a name for the feeling i get whenever i listen to this kind of music, maybe i'm weird, and maybe i just love being sad, but it's because being sad makes me feel more like...a human. Wherever i look, people feels shit, and i'm like i don't give a fuck about anything, i don't take seriously anything... i'm just guessing i'm not emotional at all or my feelings are very "special" for daily shit. But with this music i can really feel like connecting and empathizing with people who's really struggling with life. Don't really know how to translate my tears into words. sorry

Mono are the uncrowned Masters of Post Rock. Their music is beautiful, dark, ethereal, throbbing, electrifying, soothing, emotional, visceral. Often all within the same piece. I have listened to a lot of Mono's music and it never disappoints. It is rare that any band can produce such consistently great music but I have never heard a piece by Mono that I did not like. This album is stunning. Check out Hymn to the Immortal Wind and the accompanying story. One of the most beautiful compositions of all time.

This album is way too hard and overwhelming. I "hate" (really love it so much) this music because I usually listen to it when I'm feeling depressed, but at the same time I love how it helps me to deal with all the sadness and anger I'm feeling right now.
Not going to lie, I'm just crying because nothing specific but how much I needed to.

God. Such beauty, emotion and power. Not many things can pull your heart strings like MONO does.
Mesmerizing bliss. Serene, dark but hopeful bliss of emotions and soundscapes. It makes you sink into the music like an brick in a lake. Leaving you in goosebumps with watery eyes.
I am glad I get to experience this incredible music.
Such joy to feel this. To be in the moment overwhelmed by amazing melodies

I was browsing the seas of the internet for sensations and phenomenona of music. I wasnt expecting to find something making me reflect on my past, present and even my future. Usually I'm very skeptical concerning ambientlike music, as often it sounds generic and monotonous. But this took me like the maelstrom of my soul.

The excruciating sadness that engulfs the person just before they commit suicide is exposed literally in the second piece of this album. It is as if one is grieving their own death while still alive. They say suffering or sadness is for who remains, not for those who died. This maybe holds until you stand in front of the abyss of a depressed soul which is fighting the instinct that keeps all beings grappling with life. Oddly enough though, the third piece reflects the glimpse of sorrowful hope that suicide promises the despaired. Thank you MONO, for it is for you I was able to give voice for what meant to be silent.

Legend sounds like a single persons entire lifes journey and then it ends with Nostalgia---them reminiscing on the past. They fall asleep into Dream Odyssey, wake up, say hello to their kids/friends and then decide to go on a vacation with the love of their live by their side. On this trip in Unseen Harbor, they enjoy themselves, both thinking back on their lives. They hold hands for the last time and walk into their next life together into A Quiet Place. I feel like this captures two parents who truly adore each other and have stuck by one another through thick and thin, their whole lives and are ready for their next adventure.

Had this playing on my ipad through my headphones, was looking at my phone and the intro to Legend made my head jerk up to look at the screen. I think that's a positive thing, I've never had a song create a physical reaction for me
