I really like the bag one. Not only do i like how it matches the awning bag, but seems like it would be less likely to be damaged by trees because it will give more
@@chado_outdoors I agree!
This is sweeet the bag one is my favorite
@@1BadRAMLimited I definitely agree
Both are awesome the bag one is slightly better looking thanks for the great video 😅
@@johnvanbalderen9406 thanks for watching and commenting!
Appreciate how you made it look easy! I've tried sewing basic things and they never turn out as well or as easy as they're supposed to be : ) I've saved this video though for future reference!
@@JB-eg1tb thank you! Yeah sewing well takes little practice. It’s like welding. Anyone can do it with a little effort
@@PatrickRemington Thanks for that confidence-- looking forward to whenever you post your next video!
@@PatrickRemington Hi,Patrick, this is Michael, do you remember you send a request a quote for us, and I have sent you the quote to your email, could you please check it and give me a reply? Thanks
Great set-ups. Looking at building one of these for my upcoming camping trip where it's more secluded without conveniences. Have a black PVC rooftop shower tank and hose setup.
Thank you!
I loved the showertent with the self-folding mechanism. Thank you very much for giving us ideas, I will definitely do it. Greetings from Mexico.
@@ramsesji8a welcome! Glad to help!
Loved the build! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Great build man!
@@BigFishOverlanding thank you!
What would you say is the overal cost to do one of the soft cover versions?
Hey patrick. I am wanting to make a roof top tent and ive fallen in love with your design from about 7 years ago where you made a pop up box style tent. If you could link the struts and hinges you used in that video it wouod be greatly appreciated because i cant find a build series on that particular tent on your channel. Thank you!
Que legal 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I see you getting pulled over by the police quite often if you continue to use that rifle case 🤣
Hey wait a minute!!! Are you the same guy that did a blog writeup on setting up and using an Eaton's Bussmann Mini Fuse Panel? Like around 10 years ago??
@@libertyauto nah sorry that wasn’t me..
@@PatrickRemington ah okay. Thanks.
Solid video, you have a creative way of approaching these projects. Great work, subscribed.
This video really didnt need to be 34 minutes long
@@victora.bartolome6018 aw man.. I was having a good day before this comment
Just found your channel and watched a 7yr old video of a rtt you built that was full open with some really cool gas strut hinges. Would love a "how to" on those!
@@lucasbarton7246 I'm working on that video now actually!
@@lucasbarton7246 they will not required welding either!
@@PatrickRemington awesome can't wait to watch it.
You did a good job, and take care
Thank you!
@@PatrickRemington and one more thing, I have replied your email, please check your email thanks, I would like to help you with anything
Nós construimos um também em 2019, é muito bom 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you for designing and sharing this. I have need one on my truck for some time but havent built one yet. Your video has spurred on some ideas, including a few that might be a major difference even.
I dont care for the rifle case. It seems prettty flimsey and also tall. But maybe that could be on a hinge and fold down flat onto the roofrack even.
Another thing to came to mind is simply having a tube inside of a larger tube design where one larger tube is fixed to the roof rack oriented across the vehicle, both tubes about 40" apart, while a smaller tube slides inside of those tubes and it telescopes out to create the extended shower rods. In that design, the curtain might even take down alotogether and stow in a pouch or tub. Or it might still roll up and fit in a bag like the original or something.
Youve inspired me to try some of this myself and see what i can come up with. Thanks much.
@@RoyatAvalonFarms Heck yeah! 💪 Glad to help! I like those ideas! I definitely like the bag version better. I like thinks to in all in one package where it's hard to forget or misplace things.
Really like the fabric casing over the hard gun case for sure however the one and only thing I could think an addition would to be add weights to the bottom of the curtain and maybe the so-called weights nearest to your vehicle might be magnetic so you can magnetic to the vehicle to keep it shut for sure I understand you have velcro that might be plenty. But I really do think putting a few weights on each side of the curtain will help in a windy situation maybe even like a small copper rod or even PVC pipe that will roll up smoothly with the system as is?
