ODI and test cricket are simply dying because people don't have the attention span and time to go to the stadium and watch a match for whole day. India does over invest in cricket but we also have other popular sports. Most expensive players in the Kabbadi league were acquired for 2.25cr inr which is around 7 crore pakistani rupee and most expensive psl players were 1.5 pkr.

It’s easy to spend other people’s money. BCCI is already taking a haircut with the revenue share. Why can’t the test playing countries step up and make the game more lucrative? Hardly see any crowds watching bilateral cricket in Pakistan. Obviously certain formats of cricket are out of favor. As for BCCI they need to spend their share of ICC by investing in other sports in India Not just cricket.

For me as a Cricket lover is heart broken to see that because of the interests of the few cricketing boards out loved game is not being promoted through out the world as it should be. ICC was established in 1909 till date we have only 12 members countries. In 2017, the the big 3 concept was removed and it gave us such good results and now again for the next 2024-27 again the same thing is happening. Only for money, the game itself has been put on the back shelf and money has taken over. Now only the money speak not the game.
I have a question, what or how can a cricket lover like me, who sees this happening stop all of this. I dont know what can be done to stop this, all board if they go against the BCCI or ECB or CA they are dealt with cuts in the revenues. May be Daniyal bhai has a way how we as cricket lovers stop this from happening. May be our PCB and other boards can put in some light on this.

I respect Danyal immensely, have read his Cricinfo pieces for years. I hate BCCI's guts for multiple reasons, and also hate the fact that all the big powers in the cricket world haven't done enough to promote the game worldwide, and there's a definite political angle to many decisions taken which I personally do not agree with.
Having said that, the podcasters are missing many key points..
