I remember many years ago, before the golf course was built, me and my dad having 32 flounders between us on the creek, good old days before the flounders disappeared.
It was the same at Hilsea where I grew up fishing 30 odd years ago, flounders where everywhere. it's as though I don't have time to launch a campaign to catch one these days, such a hard thing to achieve. Stu
Your 1st Fareham creek video was the 1st video of yours I watched and it is still to this day my favourite video out of all of yours iv watched since you uploaded it all that time ago. So when I saw the notification for this video i was extremely excited to watch it. It certainly lived up to expectations. You are very talented with a camera, truly amazing footage and editing skills. Just such a beautiful video mate truly stunning! Keep up the good work mate!
Thanks Alex. Been wanting to do the return leg for a long time. So pleased I managed to get it done, and well pleased with how the film turned out. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the kind words. Stu 😉
Simply the best fishing videos on TH-cam! Absolutely loved the video and the rising water shots were amazing! I particularly liked the train passing at the same time as the traffic an urban dream! A very well done. Lovely bass too :)
Another gem of video storytelling; I always come away from your videos elevated. Thanks for an oasis of beauty and solitude in the middle of my day (lunchtime). Aural and visual delight!
Super video. Great imagery as usual. I love that you are reminiscing, it really comes across. Watching you walk up the path with the basket and hold-all took be back to my child hood too. I only finally let it go a few months ago. I daren't say how old it was 😂✌️️
Ah Stu there you go again sending me of to that peaceful happy place, I love the new intro and no one does a time lapse like you do.well done on the two bass well deserved until next time take care my friend.
Nice atmospheric video... 😎👍☘️ There is NOTHING better in this world than fishing... 🙂 I love winter piking... & summer tench... & midnight bream on a big Irish lake 🤗 Bivvied up by a lake for a week is heaven to me & catching is secondary... And ALWAYS... catch & release... Broke my pike PB recently... 12 years ago it was 22lbs... finally last year... 28lbs... Getting harder here in Ireland (& everywhere) with the east europeans netting the waters & setting night-lines for pike ☹️ At 61y.o. I hope I still have time to improve my record, but either ways I'm happy just being out there... 🙂 P.S. happy new year man !! 😉
Lovely video as usual Stu and different. Funny, I’ve always lived by the coast in Poole and while I’m an allrounder, I have never given anything like this a go other than matches as far down as Wick Ferry at Christchurch. However, this was on the float with maggot/caster for dace and roach. As you said, the tide plays a major part. On a good day we would all bag up but get the wrong tide and whole sections would blank. Love those bass 👍
Stunning video Stu you filming really encapsulates the essence of angling , always enjoy your adventures and look forward to the Perch fishing something I am really enjoying myself . Tight lines Dean.
Thanks Bill. Yes, very much so on the mullet front. I'd love to try my arm at them this coming summer if time allows. I do hear they are catchable there. Stu
The Sweetcorn Kid Hi thanks for the reply. Have you ever caught a Golden Grey Mullet? They are on the open beaches, just use lighter tackle fished fairly close in, 10 to 60 yards out with harbour ragworm. You might get a surprise Bill
Nice bass, I caught my first Sea Bass while fishing in Blackpool near the north pier, quite nice when they are over the ond pound mark, cool video stu.
the first bass bite was a rod bender the tip looped over!... it all looked great stu as usual..keep m coming looking forward to the perch...tight lines
wow just stumbled across this channel and im shocked by how amazing the filming and editing is in this video... came expecting some shaky selfie cam style video left amazed by the skill and effort that went into this video
Well made video. My first fishing trip with my grandad about 50 years ago. The creeks the same but all around has been developed ☹️ I came back with eel and chased all the girls round the village with it 😂
As a local lad I have fished all these creeks and estuaries as you are..... Keep up the good work... Thanks for sharing... Cracking video m8
Cheers Robert. Yes, definitely something nostalgic about these places. 👍🏻
