Your suggestion of the Swiffer duster changed my LIFE. Makes cleaning my house kinda fun! I plan to try your other suggestions. Thank you for all you do for us and being so wonderful!!
This is fascinating, I didn't know so many types of dusters existed! Thank you so much for this video, I have many small decorations at home and didn't know how to properly dust them. I now know I need a couple of tools to make my cleaning rutine more efective and frequent!
Thanks so much foe this. I'm 22, and my mom's out of the country. She's left me with taking care of my younger siblings and a good, old BIG HOUSE to clean. I appreciate you breaking everything down.
Thank you once gain for your great advice. There are lots of cleaner videos here on TH-cam but your site is the best, reliable info and everything explained very clearly.
Awesome! Thanks Bought a house that was recently remodeled. Went to clean it before movingin.....it was clean clean clean! I mean spotless....dust free..baseboards, corners, blinds..top of the refrigerator! Now I'm trying to keep it like that! Thanks again
I have a very high-ceiling stairwell in my home and dust sticks to the walls horribly. As I age, I've had trouble cleaning up there. This DocaPole and microfiber duster did the trick quickly and the stairwell looks better than ever. This is an amazing tool. Thanks for speaking about it. Saved my neck from slipping on the stairs, too. Well worth the money for me.
LOL. Me too. The first several years of my business the Statica (equivalent) could be found at the Dollar Store. I used them instead of Swiffers because they also trapped the dust.
After seeing your video, I am pretty sure that nothing in my life made me happy this much as dusters makes you happy :D Just amazing, thank you Angela! You are goddes of cleaning tools. (I hope that I wrote it correctly)
I just have microfiber cloths and mittens. I want a couple of these you showed so bad! I must get another cleaning job so I can buy me new toys! I get excited over strange things lol
More questions than answers. 2 to warm up: are all the dusters disposable -how do you clean them? Some are used in greasy objects like keyboard and consoles. Many of the dusters do the same job -do you really walk around with ostrich feathers in your backpocket looking for a piano?
No to the ostrich feather duster. Here is an updated video th-cam.com/video/ySxnfPYCW2M/w-d-xo.html and in this there are 3 dusters we do use all the time, and 3 we use mostly on deep cleans. One we leave at the customer's home to prevent cross contamination. If one duster will do the job, don't carry 2. And yes, to disposable dusters to prevent cross-contamination from house to house as a professional cleaner.
Hi Angela, I am very grateful for your knowledge and how you choose to share with everyone tips & tools to make our time cleaning efficient and productive! Not to mention fun and easy-er. :) I would like to know more about cleaning high vaulted ceilings with landings. A lot of dust and what seems to be cooking grease & cob webs build up in the nooks & crannies. Yuck! Would appreciate any guidance. Thank you Angela. 🙏🏽
Hi and thanks for your kind words. If you have cooking grease in high vaulted ceilings you may need to hire a painting company that owns scaffolding or stilts and is trained to work in the rafters to clean it for you.
Hello Angela, I’ve got five products . They ran out of tubes . Can’t wait to try them and other cleaning products including the caddy bag that you love , got two of those that I ordered from other videos . Thank you ! 🦋
This might be a dumb question, but can a vacuum hose suck up the dust that gets accumulated on the Swiffer Duster? Or is the dust trapped inside the duster so well that even a powerful enough vacuum wouldn't be able to suck the dust out? It seems to be the most efficient duster, but wouldn't want to keep buying refills all the time.
I don't know, judging from it looks, it seems quite difficult to get vacuumed. I smashed it into a pot outdoor, just like what u do wit car carpets. It helps a bit. It would pick up dust a bit more. I did the "smashing" 2-3 times before i gave up.
What do you recommend for dusting/cleaning chandeliers that gets between the Curley Q’s without getting caught up, doesn’t knock around the glass shade, and gets the dust/bugs out of upturned glass shades?
I prefer the Swiffer duster because of it's patented trap and lock technology. If it is a fragile chandelier - we may not clean it at all depending on the scope of the job, but if it's an easy job and we can do is safely with a Swiffer duster, we do.
I enjoy your videos, great tips. I have a 10 ft by 10 ft built in book shelf full of books that desparately needs to be dusted. I'm trying to figure out the best approach for this. The shelves are about 12 inches apart so there is only about 1 to 2 inches between the books and the shelf above them. Any tips? Thanks.
I use a similar version of the Swiffer Duster, except mine’s blue. However, it just makes the dust be lifted onto the air and fall right back into the furniture. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Any tips? Thank you for such informative video!
The Swiffer Duster has a trap and lock technology that holds the dust it picks up so you are not just swishing it around. Try one and let me know how it compares to the one you are using. I had a hard time wrapping my head around the price of the Swiffer Dusters at first - until I figured out how much time (i.e. money) it was costing me to dust areas two and three times because the dusters I was using was just pushing dust around creating more work.
Hum, my go to duster is my lambs wool fluffy. While using it, I take it outside and hit it on the side of the house to clean it off. I also vacuum it clean with the crevice attachment and I will give it a shampoo when it gets dirty. Curious to know why it didn’t make your top 10. It has to be #11😀
Where are you dusting to? Meaning, IF you dust it into the air/ room wouldnt the dust just continue to circulate there room? And if it stays on the brush, how and where do you shake the brush
Microfiber and Swiffers will trap the dust in the duster itself. A feather duster just pushes the dust to the floor. I'm not a fan of the feather duster except for really hard to dust trinkets where a swiffer will get caught on hinges, engravings or 3d designs that pull the fibers out. For that the feather duster is actually better and then you vacuum it all up. Does that make sense?
Hi Angela, great informing video, which one would you recommend for (polished ebony) high gloss finish piano? Do you have recommend microfiber cloth as well for cleaning high gloss finish? Would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
A chamois microfiber like this amzn.to/3g0Hsgo is a great cleaning/polishing cloth that won't require any chemicals. Please don't use any chemicals on a gloss finish piano.
I see, I’m against animal cruelty, would you be kind enough to recommend any alternative for cloth ? Beside that what about duster is it ok to use before cloth? I’m afraid dust may scratch if rub it down with cloth (I really don’t want to scratch expensive grand piano (it’s pretty dusty already since I didn’t get to it yet) ? Thank you
Angela Brown..can you please tell me how long we should have one of these dusters if it’s just our personal home we are using it for? Especially the kind that can’t be washed? And the swifter one do we throw out after one use? Thank you 😊
Electrostatic dusters can be kept in your personal home or a client's home and used on computer and television screens. They can be kept as long as they are effective. The Swiffer dusters have replaceable heads that can be tossed after each home. If you are using one at home and you have to stop cleaning midway through a clean, you can put your Swiffer in a safe place like the laundry room and use it again when you finish your cleaning. They are disposable and meant to be tossed when the job is finished.
Hello angela, great video!!! I actually have a question by any chance you have a video how to charge for three different Services of cleaning ????. I've been the housekeeper for 20 years in in about a month I'm going to open a a house cleaning services I'm kind of confused about how to charge for three different cleaning for example deep cleaning how much I can charge, depending how big is the house a Maintenance Cleaning also depending how big is the house Or it start out cleaning, meaning I'm going to clean this house that has been cleaned by other services but she wants to see how well I clean the house if I making any sense Let me know if you have a video like that cuz I went and went through all the videos and I cannot find it if you haven't make a video can you make like a video explaining those three different charges please thank you
I'm so frustrated with dust. I dust a room, leave to do another room come back to the first room and the entire desk/computer/all surfaces have dust again. What am I doing wrong? (No ceiling fan, no draft, I used a Swiffer disposable) tyia duster) Is it because it was an Office full of computer equipment?
Why dont u try w microfiber cloth, old fashioned way, firstly a wet and secondly a dry one, and if it works, than u know a swiffer is not doing the job. For a touchy surfaces i.e. keyboard, damp brush and then a dry one.
I'm going to try to find those pom pom dusters. Just got my granddaughters into Fraggle Rock and I'm hoping to convert those into a fraggle hat of sorts. Is there a link to a website where I can purchase those? The link provided doesn't look as rounded as the ones you were holding.
If you need something really long checkout the DocaPole. It might be available on Amazon in India. Here is a link to my Amazon store for you to checkout the details: www.amazon.com/dp/B07HGJW1LS?tag=onamzsavvyc03-20&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B07HGJW1LS&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.35QQQDDG5FN3H
Technically yes. I'm not a fan of it though because it is only one-sided. For me that is like driving a car with only two wheels - or wait, that would be a bicycle. Yes, it will still get you where you want to go, but using the right tool will help you do the job right the first time. 🙃
Really, the bottom line question is.....where does the dust go once you wipe it up? None of these products are storage houses for dust. If you wipe up a lot of dust with a rag or other device, aren't you just redistributing it somewhere else a few minutes later? It's like the real question should be which one of these devices HOLDS the most dust before you wash it or throw it away. I would be against any product like Swiffer where I have to continually buy refills for it all the time.
@terry7893 I think you hit the nail on the head about the dusters trapping and holding the dust rather than eliminating it - that would be a vacuum. And to your observation about the Swiffer Duster where you prefer reusable vs. disposable heads, check out this vendor (paid link amzn.to/3U5HiWT) who addressed that problem specifically with a product designed to work with the Swiffer handle.
@@AskAngelaBrown No, those are just silly shredded felt pieces. Have you ever used them? I've seen them before and maybe use something similar but they were junk.

Can you make a video for cleaning tools for pregnant people. Stuff where it doesn’t involve bending down? Bathroom, kitchen, dusting, pets, any information will help.
