Both can do team heals, but need to be on field, and in the case of Jean her off field heal is single target. Kuki and Bennet are both single target but off field. So off field AND team healing is pretty unique. Technically Gorru c4 and Sayu would count though! (Edit for clarity based on others comments)

Mihoyo creates a exclusive CC server so that they can test out the incoming characters and make guides for them and that's why seconds the server opens they literally have a guide ready to post on their channel.
I am very close to 80 pulls and don't wanna risk getting Alhaitham as i want Yelan.. so in a way I'm very very happy to get YaoYao as a free character during the event

I got her last night! Honestly, I'm so excited to utilize her in teams! She's cute, she has a bunny bff, and she can heal? I was sold. I think she acts as a door (albeit small ;) to different types of team rotations and combos. Thanks for the guide! Your videos are always so helpful :)
I just can't help but to be amazed with our new dendro characters in this patch! Both Alhaitham and Yaoyao have one of the bests talent and gameplay mechanics.
THIS IS WHY DONT JUDGE THE CHARACTER BEFORE THE RELEASE i've seen some people say Yaoyao is bad after reading her skill on the website etc. and now she is my best solution for dendro application and heal
i mean there is some case where *5 C0 either equal or worst than their *4. Look at Diluc Bennet, Yelan XQ, Succrose Kazuha, Hutao XL, Yae Fischl. most of that character either kinda fall off at C0 or equal to *4 C6. so yea..... if somehow your Yao Yao at C6 when baizu comes out then no need to pull if you dont want too. still we dont know what Baizu does tho duuuuh
To me it seems that Yaoyao is going to compete with Diona for the best post-launch 4 star. Great healing and good Dendro application means she will be an excellent choice for many teams. At the very least she seems far superior to Collei and Dendro Traveler. I will be getting Yaoyao from the Latern Rite event and see how she will do with my Burgeon team.
Not sure what you mean by post launch, maybe I'm missing something. But I would find it hard to argue that Diona is better than Bennet, Xinqiu, Kuki, Sucrose, Xiangling, Beidou, or even Gorou within his niche. Diona is just above average, but not even in contention for best four star.

For example out of the characters you mentioned Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling and Sucrose and Beidou are all launch characters (aka available since version 1.0). On the other hand, Diona, Gorou and Kuki are considered Post-launch characters since they weren’t available in the game from the debut.
YaoYao, Diona, Rosaria, Yanfei and Heizou are the only Post-Launch 4-star that are above average upon release, Characters like Thoma, Sayu and Shinobu are now above average after thier release at a certain niche While Gorou and Yun Jin are above average upon release on thier certain niche But i do believe the best Post release 4-star is either Diona,YaoYao or Rosaria

I literally just got her, I was squeelig with joy because she's so cute. Also she's surprisingly strong, and I may or may not've been using her as my main for the past couple hours.
So we just use her burst when we need emergency healing. Thats quite nice. I didnt notice she heal the whole party when using burst in trial lol. I like this kind of support, not really burst dependent and can stay off field.
I just YaoYao and after doing her test run I was very excited to get and start building her, this video has helped a lot for knowing what I should do and the best ways to have her on a team

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Genshin, but this is one of the first characters where I legitimately need a guide on what to build on her. It seems like she's so flexible as a Dendro healer that her weapon, artifact set bonuses, and even artifact stats can vastly vary depending on what you have and what you aspire to do. Wow, I letgitemately didn't think much of her when the trailer came out and the gameplay leaked, but she actually seems like a pretty good dendro applier and healer, I legitemately didn't expect it.
I feel like she’s probably one of the best healers in the game and I added her to my burgeon team and I can obliterate anything she’s honestly one of my favourote 4 stars ever
I've been trying to get that Keqing/Fischl aggravate team up to par with my other floor 12 teams, but the Dendro Traveler / Collei slot has been making it an uphill task. With Yaoyao functioning as both dendro and healer, the dendro slot is still about the same damage, but now I can upgrade healer Sucrose to Kazuha for more offense.
As long as I have another black tassel on hand I should be good in wanting to get this cute little thing. And after checking over the characters that are part of the lantern event and seeing how am I in terms of constellations, yeah it's pretty much low for most of them and even if the others are getting close to it, it only leads to a increase in whatever their skill or burst goes up to. So I may get Yao Yao after all. Other than that it's good that she definitely feels free to play right out the Box and you don't have to do that much in order to make her good. Only downside is of course the artifact grind but otherwise she's good. Great job Sevy and off to Al's showcase!

I put together a team for my cousin who just started playing Barbara Xiangling Collei Yaoyao she is destroying everything in the game and having a lot of fun she loves how Yaoyao runs and feels safe having her and Barbara on the team and at the same time doing a lot of damage

Been playing around with : Childe, Raiden Shogun, Kazuha and Yao Yao. It's a really good hyper bloom team, with has a healer, and is decent for exploration. Basically, you're throwing the bunny out, applying hydro with Childe, then electro with Raiden (and vice versa). Kazuha is for crowd control and persistent swirl of electro or hydro depending on who is on cool down. Not going to lie, it worked better than I thought it would. Sure Yao Yao is not the best Dendro applicator, but at least she heals.
"For a free 4* she's pretty solid" is definitely underselling her big time. Best 4 star unit we got since Yanfei easily. And she even comes with an ascension stat that helps her? Someone find out who put the good stuff in HYVs coffee to release AH and YY this way.
Use her in trial and simply loving her because of all the running & jumping 😂 I was disappointed when Klee can't do dropping bombs while running (I'm new, I saw her trailer and I thought that was the case.)
Great guide, very few people are talking about Yaoyao now, but also I laughed IRL because your pronounciation of Yuegui sounds like "Oil Ghost" in Chinese. Yuegui means Moon Jade, referencing the Jade Rabbit that lives on the Moon with the Moon Goddess Chang'e, both important motifs and characters for Mihoyo and Honkai is actually having an arc about them now.
Finally I will not get frozen by every single cryo enemy 😭😭😭 Barbara has carried me through A LOT but the freezing is really annoying and my only other healer is Diona and cryo doesn't react with Dendro.
Imo this is the best hyperbloom team atm Alhaitham Kuki or raiden (I recommend raiden) Xingqiu or yelan Yao Yao Alhaitham is your on field dmg dealer and dendro applicator, raiden will apply electro and also battery team with burst, xingqiu/yelan is obviously for bloom, and Yao Yao is for healing and a deep wood carrier and dendro resonance.
Just got her and I'm having a lot of fun with my current team Lisa main DPS Sucrose support Dendro Traveler sub DPS Yao Yao support Quite f2p friendly and very effective

The other day I realized that my Keqing (whom I haven't touched ever since I got her) has reached C3, and my Lion roar has reached R4. The stars have aligned.
Ngl yaoyao is probably one of the best supports rn. Dendro teams are really good especially in abyss but with bloom teams its easy to die since the cores also dmg you but with yaoyao you can apply dendro for bloom and also heal in the meantime. I will admit she is the best 4 star hoyoverse released after sumeru. Faruzan is really good too but at c1 yaoyao is better and more useful to more elements. I am really happy that the character we have been waiting for soooo long is actually good and not disappointing
Gurl... If im done with sooo many unfinished teams, im definitely make a turret YaoYao with spread or make tower defense team with Oz and Guoba and Kokomi Jellyfish
Really good build guide and SUPER helpful!! HOWEVER, just a wee small note with your pronunciation of the word "Etcetera". More emphasis on the T. eT.... Ceteraaa. the C is like saying Set, like artifact SET. I've noticed on a couple vids you keep saying a mix between X and CH sound like CHurch. "eXCHetera" Not sure if that's because English is your ESL and you've mainly learned American English (which is.... well they like to do their own thing), BUT IF YOU EVER DO READ THIS.... just thought I'd mention it as i can't help but go "eh?" whenever i hear it :P Much love and well done on the build vid!!!!
I literally just got her today from Lantern Rite event and she's so adorable I wanna explode! lmao Yaoyao is a great addition to dendro and I'll certainly build her to pair with Alhaitham. Her design is simple yet cute and probably has one of the most elegant NA attack strings.
From my experience, I think it's much recommended for her, sure it's HP scaling but it's only a bit, Going with Fav is better, and go double HP% artifact and Healing bonus Circlet . Because,but if u have lots of ER in ur sub stats ,then yeah ig It's good option. Just make sure u have enough ER fill up her burst in a single rotation
I was thinking of running a heizou salad team with her, in which i m right now using Dendro Traveller for dendro application, Xingqiu for hydro, Raiden Shogun for her skill, and Heizou to drive it all. The only problem is, even with xingqiu's damage reduction and somewhat healing, heizou often ends up dying due to being on field too much u protected. So i was thinking of subbing Dendro MC with YaoYao. Keeping this scenario in mind, do yall have any opinions or recommendations on Yao Yao's build?😅 Currently, Heizou= skyward atlas + 4pc VV Raiden = Dragons Bane + 4pc Gilded(they are just cyno's artifacts i put on her for now) Xingqiu = sac sword + 4pc emblem Dendro MC = Fav Sword + 4pc deepwood
I pulled for Haitham, but did get YaoYao Shes totally cute and with right mods she pretty stable, tho I was mad I pulled 85 to get a second Keging constellation. :(

i think diona in general is incredibly overrated and she's definitely a good unit but shes not a great one

I got the chance to get her C4 and she’s quite good in Nilou’s Bloom comp!
The never losing hp team, Kokomi, Kuki, Yaoyao, and Bennett xD. You will never have your hp low.

Been playing around with : Childe, Raiden Shogun, Kazuha and Yao Yao. It's a really good hyper bloom team, with has a healer, and is decent for exploration.
Basically, you're throwing the bunny out, applying hydro with Childe, then electro with Raiden (and vice versa). Kazuha is for crowd control and persistent swirl of electro or hydro depending on who is on cool down. Not going to lie, it worked better than I thought it would. Sure Yao Yao is not the best Dendro applicator, but at least she heals.

"For a free 4* she's pretty solid" is definitely underselling her big time. Best 4 star unit we got since Yanfei easily. And she even comes with an ascension stat that helps her? Someone find out who put the good stuff in HYVs coffee to release AH and YY this way.
Use her in trial and simply loving her because of all the running & jumping 😂 I was disappointed when Klee can't do dropping bombs while running (I'm new, I saw her trailer and I thought that was the case.)
Great guide, very few people are talking about Yaoyao now, but also I laughed IRL because your pronounciation of Yuegui sounds like "Oil Ghost" in Chinese.
Yuegui means Moon Jade, referencing the Jade Rabbit that lives on the Moon with the Moon Goddess Chang'e, both important motifs and characters for Mihoyo and Honkai is actually having an arc about them now.
Finally I will not get frozen by every single cryo enemy 😭😭😭
Barbara has carried me through A LOT but the freezing is really annoying and my only other healer is Diona and cryo doesn't react with Dendro.

Yao Yao
Alhaitham is your on field dmg dealer and dendro applicator, raiden will apply electro and also battery team with burst, xingqiu/yelan is obviously for bloom, and Yao Yao is for healing and a deep wood carrier and dendro resonance.
Who do you think can replace kuki+Raiden? I have neither. Can fischl work?
@@dawn.-.raiden and kuki are really the only consistent hyperbloom triggers. fischl’s oz can straight up just not target the bloom seeds

Just got her and include her on my team. A healer nonetheless, is always welcome. Plus she's a Dendro type. Its like killing two birds with one stone. Saves one more character imo.😄

Hi Sevy, have you tried Yaoyao (or more specifically Yugui) on Sukokomon. Im thinking it may have properties similar to Guoba.
Ngl yaoyao is probably one of the best supports rn. Dendro teams are really good especially in abyss but with bloom teams its easy to die since the cores also dmg you but with yaoyao you can apply dendro for bloom and also heal in the meantime. I will admit she is the best 4 star hoyoverse released after sumeru. Faruzan is really good too but at c1 yaoyao is better and more useful to more elements. I am really happy that the character we have been waiting for soooo long is actually good and not disappointing
Finally, a good (maybe great) healer for my second team in abyss
Gurl... If im done with sooo many unfinished teams, im definitely make a turret YaoYao with spread or make tower defense team with Oz and Guoba and Kokomi Jellyfish

I literally just got her today from Lantern Rite event and she's so adorable I wanna explode! lmao Yaoyao is a great addition to dendro and I'll certainly build her to pair with Alhaitham. Her design is simple yet cute and probably has one of the most elegant NA attack strings.
Does the new Fontaine craftable polearm work well on her? I’m trying to build her for my Tighnari and would love the advice :3
From my experience, I think it's much recommended for her, sure it's HP scaling but it's only a bit,
Going with Fav is better, and go double HP% artifact and Healing bonus Circlet .
Because,but if u have lots of ER in ur sub stats ,then yeah ig It's good option.
Just make sure u have enough ER fill up her burst in a single rotation

I was thinking of running a heizou salad team with her, in which i m right now using Dendro Traveller for dendro application, Xingqiu for hydro, Raiden Shogun for her skill, and Heizou to drive it all. The only problem is, even with xingqiu's damage reduction and somewhat healing, heizou often ends up dying due to being on field too much u protected. So i was thinking of subbing Dendro MC with YaoYao.
Keeping this scenario in mind, do yall have any opinions or recommendations on Yao Yao's build?😅

Heizou= skyward atlas + 4pc VV
Raiden = Dragons Bane + 4pc Gilded(they are just cyno's artifacts i put on her for now)
Xingqiu = sac sword + 4pc emblem
Dendro MC = Fav Sword + 4pc deepwood

I pulled for Haitham, but did get YaoYao Shes totally cute and with right mods she pretty stable, tho I was mad I pulled 85 to get a second Keging constellation. :(
