Most of the train cars shown at the end, if any of you are wondering, are "R211A"-class New York City Subway cars, a fleet of roughly 1,500 brand new train cars.
There is also one "M9"-class Long Island Rail Road car in the corner at the 27 minute mark.

Apparently, we weren't supposed to see some things in the railcar production area.

Man, I love production factory videos like this. I've seen ones for Kenworth, Pierce, and school buses as well. I love to see assembly line production that still has a large human element. So cool. Also makes me kinda proud to work in transportation, helping bring in the raw materials for these facilities. Plastic pellets, steel stock, gasoline, chemicals, tooling, it's all stuff I help transport on the railroad.

Great job Alex. Love factory tours. Head over to Morton and see how the barn was built.

Kawasaki powersports is a small part of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Helicopters and maybe ships. Kind of like Hyundai. It looks like the motorcycle factory in Japan. The new car factories I've seen look brighter inside and may use green technology for water and power.

So cool to see how those Mules roll down the line. I worked several years at a dealership, so I always saw how they came tobtge dealer in the crate. So much going on in that place.

My dad would not ever let me have a Kawasaki dirt bike when I was a kid. He got captured on Corregidor in the Philippians in 1942 and was sent to Japan as a POW for the entire war. He was put in the POW camp Kawasaki 2B, and was forced to work in the Mitsubishi factory.

Ditto for Mitsubishi. They made the Zero airplanes that enabled the kamikaze suicide strikes against the American troops.

You tell that story and then the American government started using Kawasaki motorcycles at a time... Sad the way this world works. God bless your family and F Kawasaki!!

I toured that Kawi plant back in 2004, seems it has had added a lot of automation since back then.

Very cool. When I was briefly in the UAW, I worked in a place somewhat like this. We were much more narrowly focused though, we really only made one type of component. I liked it so much that I quit to finish my degree and changed careers lol.
