Yeah, I thought that too. So much so that I bought two copies of the 12”, and gave one to a friend with “The future” scribbled on the front of it. Goofy.
It does sound really dated now though. The vocal samples are horrible.
Autechre on the other hand probably will still be the future for a long time to come. They were sensible enough to hardly ever include silly little vocal snippets in their tracks.

I picked my just-turned-four-year-old up from preschool and she got in the car talking about wanting to watch Pinkaliscious when we got home because that’s what the two little girls in her class like and she wants the cultural literacy to bond with them over their interests (she longs for their friendship). But she also wanted to sit in the car and listen to this song on repeat with our very good speakers because she is already an audiophile with extremely broad taste. I told her no screen time or load music inside after dinner, so we’d better go in if she wanted to get some Pinkaliscious in before dinner and she said she no she just wants to hear more Squarepusher.
I hope she isn’t too lonely as she grows up.

Everyone questioning the art should be more than aware, that production tools such as square pushing plug ins and chaotic random algorithms were invented because of his sick behaviour of randomness. He is a true originator of sound, a non arguable legend of the kung fu.

Blessed be, by God I pray, of forgiveness, of apology, of wellness.... Let me be good to and of the sky, that I might dance in my life and bid us well of me, free and loving, and give back to the goodness of life and of God that has always been kind. I pray us good life, natural life, peaceful life..I pray health in me, and for all. Blessed God, guide me with purity to abundance. It is in and of love I have learned, life is lived when we can share love, when we are well with us. Guide me to calm when I am anxious, rest when I am weary, peace when I am stressed, and wholeness when I am weak. I live my life in and of goodness to God, to life, and good with the world, and beyond. Let peace pour over us, like a cup of water's love streaming rivers of blessing over us, and through us. I love you all, peace with us, God made us, we lived toward abundance in and of the river of life, and for giving in wellness back to life and purity.
