I migrated from the UK over twenty years ago and it is the best thing that I've ever done. The only downside is the UK government will freeze any age pension that you are owed, but Australia's equivalent superannuation system (aka age pension scheme) is much better. @@HARRISON74 Having lived in the UK for over 30 years and 20 years in Australia, I can assure you that they are and as a result the lifestyle is a lot better on every measure ...... particularly if you are prepared to put the work in.
@@jonh9561 I was an underwater welder for 6 yrs on $138k but after taxes it was around $99.200 if you convert that to sterling i was on less in Oz than i was in the uk (ÂĢ57k), and even less after the cost of living in Oz, i'm not knocking anyone trying it, far from it, but they will end up paying more just for the sunshine
