Mr Efficient Gamer, sir ! I’ve loved your content / guides, and used it last year to finally also get the Level-4 merchants on console / PS-4 edition 😊 I’m starting a fresh PS-5 updated 60 fps patch playthrough, and had just one nagging question I thought you might know the answer to ? Do you know if the next Gen patch has finally fixed the Cryolator / freezing weapon glitch / bug, where (under old versions of the game), if you killed an enemy that was considered Frozen, they would respawn (upon Map Cell reset) ‘already Frozen’ / on their sides / laying down, and be completely immobile - unable to ever act against you or do anything, for the rest of the playthrough 😮.. only repairable on PC, with Console Commands !!? Has Bethesda finally fixed this issue, so the surprisingly powerful (with Crystal Barrel mod) Cryolator can be freely used ? 🙏 I beg your wisdom, on this (somewhat niche I admit), but years-long vexing question.
Pro tip: If you don’t clear out the mole rat den under Red Rocket, the half-buried trunk between the water tower and Abernathy farm will respawn random contents (caps, ammo, a weapon and an armor piece) every 24 hrs.
Omg that’s what was happening to me, I’ve been trying to do a permadeath run for a month but couldn’t figure what was happening with this trunk, thank you sir!
Hey, there Dan it's your 6% here. I'm so glad that you're allowing us to go with you on this journey again. I'm excited about this new playthrough. I did the same exact thing that you did. I restarted my game with both a male character and a female character, and I save right there where you did so I won't have to go through the intro again. I don't like survival mode, it takes all of the fun out of it for me, so I only play on very hard mode. Play on and have fun.
lol after making a lot of jokes about Survival players, its nice to see you between us. I am excited to see your advantures and spamming shelves with your macro.
Pretty sure that if you move back and forth between Red rocket and Sanctuary it helps with resources spawning into workshop and there is a real time cool down as well I believe of roughly 10 minutes. That is what I am experiencing in my current survival play through.
Adding on to this, anything that has the potential to give RADS has a chance to cause illness. This applies even if you have a perk that stops you from getting the RADS you can still get illnesses from it. You can still get illnesses from swimming in water even if you have Aquaboy/girl for example.
Oh hell yeah im excited for this, as a survival noob im having fun. But with no fast travel I had to move my "main" settlement to Starlight since its more central in the map lol. Got my workbenches there and my Razorgrain farm for those sweet sweet Noodle Cups
Nice upload, i'm recently playing on survival for first time ever (i'm on the tvshow hype) and gotta Say i'm really enjoying it, althou the save thing it's the worst part but it really slow down the "speed" of the game. I got i baseball build going and having a blast with the slugger, currently trying to get the world series bat but keep getting jump on the way to Jamaica hills 😂 Anyway love Ur videos man, learn a Lot from it. Also ur capitalist build is sick Cheers from Argentina
Early start I use a melee weapon on bugs ( head just past the bridge for the tire iron, obviously :) or even better the machete on the suitcase near Abernathy farm). I transition to a pipe pistol, turn it into a very basic rifle and rock that for quite a while because the ammo drops are so plentiful. I horde 9mm ammo for when things get tougher or as a companion weapon. It's always interesting to me to watch how others go through their Fallout process. After all these years I'm still trying to learn the ideal way :D Take care.
Wow I have bad luck. I scrapped all of Sanctuary. Shelved until lvl 11. Built 3 water purifiers. Found Carla and bought her stuff. Turned around and the Scribe wandered past me on the road. I assumed that would break him so I just reset all the way back to Sanctuary. Lol
@@L4DisillusionAt one point, not sure if it’s patched or not, if you randomly encountered some of the high level vendors and didn’t recruit them, they bugged out and you would never find them again.
Awesome video! Subbed. For future videos is it possible to upload in 1080p? Would be even more enjoyable to watch on a bigger screen than my phone that way. Especially when it's 3 hours 😅
When scrapping refrigerators, scrap the doors separately, if they have their own hit box, to maximize the components you can salvage. Otherwise the door just vanish without adding their scrap to your workshop inventory
48:01- You actually DO get 5 caps per melon, but you need to hit the optional dialogue with Lucy before accepting her deal. Sadly, the quest breaks anyway and she stops accepting any Melons after you return the family locket (IRONICALLY). Good old Bethesda mis-programming for ya! 🙄
Breaking merchants spawn is a myth I Believe, i was able to get them all with all dlcs installed and completed and with like 35% of the main quests done, some of them did take time to spawn as smiling larry but they didnt broke
It seems that when I scrap and build shelves to get to level 20 early game, sanctuary becomes a place where I crash to dashboard all the time. Every survival playthrough that i scrap and shelve ends up being abandoned because of this, but if I skip shelving and just level up and build normal, I crash way less frequently.
I started a new playthrough recently and I got a full set of armor from th suitcase behind sanctuary and a leopard print bandana from th scavenger at th shooting range lol I must hv maxed out my luck
@@TheEfficientGamer how do u install this one? in my FO4 folder i dont have the "interface" folder, and when i try and create it and put the mod file inside, it does not work in-game?
He won't guard either! I do enjoy watching him travel to Red Rocket! I get annoyed with him skulking about in the abandoned houses... He always gets in the way. 😋
Im saving it. I want to push a stat past 10. If you get a stat to 10, then drop it with a drug effect, you can use the special book on that stat and when the temporary effect wears off, if will permanently be 11.
@TheEfficientGamer even better if you scap and mod a gun at the same time early game you can mod the book to make it scrappable again and then duplicate it. I don't really like doing this cause it makes the game way too easy. Having all max stats or above is kinda crazy and takes away a lot of the struggle of the early game period. But you can break this game if you know how.
With your INT so high, you won’t get much from idiot savant. Mathematically, you will actually get more XP if you go low INT and max LUCK. Then Idiot Savant outperforms the bonus XP from having high INT.
Don’t wanna be the Hater here but the First fight against the bloatflies where he almost died was absolutely hilarious after the ultra-gamer intro pep talk monologue xD
So why do exploits but not just cheat?? It's quicker and easier. It's the same thing as abusing game mechanics or using glitches, like how people farm for legendaries.
@@TheEfficientGamer Shelving in this instance. But there's other things like it that people use so they can do what they want. As I mentioned how people farm legendary stuff, it's just save scumming till you get what you want. IMO if you're gonna do stuff like that then just cheat.

My current survival playthrough i actually have the lvl 4 merchants and a lot of the same stuff from your perfect playthrough because of you.
- Need to rescue my son, proceeds to build an industrial water purifying farm
Pro-tip: Build your first bed in Sanctuary BEFORE attacking the Bloatflies, also don't let Codsworth kill-steal! Lol.
What’s the point in building the bed before killing the bugs? I’m new 😅
@@nathantrujillo4376 Exp bonus from well rested, plus saving on Survival difficulty.
Codsworth stole my xp?
Proceeds to build 5378 shelves
You can use the “rug glitch” when placing generators, to stack them in the same spot, similar to how the shelves place in the same spot.
Thanks, for the effort you put in
Wow! Thank you so much!
To get 5 Caps per Melon you need to take the dialogue options that talk about Bottlecaps and then pass a Speech Check.
Yesssss I was so worried you weren’t continuing the series.
Noodle cups are the only food you'll ever need, super easy to make (1 dirty water, 1 razorgrain) and it inflicts 0 rads
Yeah, once i leave sanctuary, I’ll probably set those up. For now, i can just eat tatos and be fine
New follower, looking forward to watching your walkthrough

What’s the overall goal here. I’m new to this series so I’m curious what the objective is?
My brain hurts wacthing this
I don't understand why the reset section marked tragedy why did that random encounter mean you needed to go back to an earlier save?
@@SteveC1972 yes. Because that could have broken the level 4 merchant encounter, so i needed to reload to be safe
How do you know that rons random encounter was bugged? He is found as random encounter yes? How would you know if it was the correct one?

I also have two characters at the end of the prologue because, same 0:57
Question: If I see The Scribe walk past me right after talking to Carla for first time, that would bug him out from being recruited later, correct?
