Everytime I purchase any plugin from Plugin Alliance, I have to visit your channel to get an in-depth understanding of it from your tutorials. Absolutely love your videos man. Respect from India !
Excellent EQ, thanks so much for explaining all the knobs. You saved me a lot of time. This EQ seems so powerful and more helpful than a lot of the expensive mastering EQ's that costs thousands of dollars.
Glad you explained the thinking behind the sides solo function. I was experiencing the same behavior in the Shadow Hills plug in M/S and I was thrown off by that. I find it more useful the way they implemented it in the Vertigo plug; you actually hear the stereo content.
Nice video, congrats...But i gues you could zoom a little more to Plugins...Even in 1080p its hard to read....Maybe in the future you will do it....Thanks Mike.
+Lucas Junior Thanks Lucas, I have learned to zoom in with smaller plugins but sometimes get caught up on the bigger ones. The bx plugins, in particular have a lot of small script and markings that don't show up easily on video. Because these videos are live recordings from my online classes I rarely redo them unless there are glaring mistakes. Cheers! Mike
+Abir Tarafdar Hi Abir, Yes, you could use it as a DeEsser on it's own. Not sure it will be the best use of it's resources. this is a very powerful mastering EQ. Very reasonable on the CPU given the power and quality. Cheers! Mike
I welcome the new version. I've used the V2 on many projects in my "pseudo" mastering (before sending off to someone who knows what they're doing!) jobs. The "gain scale" function seems like it could be really interesting on individual channels. I think at the end of video, when you click on the "reverse arrow", for some strange reason the plugin reverted to soloing only the "MONO" section. That's really odd behavior, but maybe they'll fix it in a bug? Or maybe it's a feature! :) Thanks for running through this one, Mike!
+djtorchmusic A Dynamic EQ works with a threshold like a compressor and applies EQ based on the audio signal passing through the threshold. If you are familiar with Multiband compression it is very similar in design. To apply additive dynamic EQ, upward expansion is used instead of downward compression. The iZotope Dynamic EQ is an excellent one. Cheers! Mike
+Michael White Thanks for your reply. I should've been more clear in my question. The BX V3, does it only have one band or does it work like the Izotope Dynamic EQ which I do like, along with the MeldaAutoMultiband which I bought as well since the Izotope version doesn't have sidechain.
hi James, The Dynamic EQ in this plugin is not nearly as sophisticated at the iZotope Dynamic EQ. The dynamic EQ on the V3 would mostly be used for dessing. Cheers! Mike
YOU CAN HIDE THE GRAPH. It's at the TOP RIGHT CORNER just over the Stereo knobs section. It's a small square Box show an envelope style dark to light icon to show in & out for the graph. Your welcome. I'm sure you've probably figure that much out by now being this was a year ago when you made this comment aha lmao smh!
Sorry about that AJ! There's so much in this plugin it's easy to miss something. I recently used it to de-ess a master and it was spot on in MS mode. Never been able to get another plugin to work as well without having to automate. Might be worth a separate video.
Reading about this plugin i was really looking forward to this demo but after watching you im really doubting, im guessing it has more to do with the way you demo
Hi Michael, Thanks for commenting. This was not my best demo for sure, but I'm more curious to know specifically why you were turned off to the plugin and review. Always trying to improve, your feedback helps...

Got this plugin in 2020 and I must say it's absolutely incredible.
@UCIStOVJpTZsasyjFxG_KxcQ you'll be glad you got it
Excellent EQ, thanks so much for explaining all the knobs. You saved me a lot of time. This EQ seems so powerful and more helpful than a lot of the expensive mastering EQ's that costs thousands of dollars.
+Glenn Bucc Thanks Glenn,
Most feature rich mastering EQ I have ever seen.
Cheers!
Mike
i was debating whether or not to use this eq until i heard you say "this is an epic EQ" with such enthusiasm. alright decision made! haha
Glad you explained the thinking behind the sides solo function. I was experiencing the same behavior in the Shadow Hills plug in M/S and I was thrown off by that. I find it more useful the way they implemented it in the Vertigo plug; you actually hear the stereo content.
Excellent Walk Thru, Thanks
One of the best descriptions of M/S stereo technique I've heard in a few sentences. :-)
fantastic walkthrough, thank you!
This is the greatest! I've enjoyed using the original. But wow, these enhancements make the best even better!
Is this and the Amek 250 Evenly Match in terms of accuracy and plug-in ability. Or if not which do you prefer roughly speaking
I got this BadBoy for about 30$ with a coupon, Man I love it !
I got it free with a vocalsynth bundle that i got on 75% off and had £5 store credit ahahahaha i win
Is this only for mastering?
No!

Hey quick question. Could this suffice as a deesser in and of its own right? Also is it resource hungry? Thanks.
+Abir Tarafdar Hi Abir,

+Michael White Ok great - thanks for answering and thanks for taking the time to issue your splendid videos.
Cheers!
How do you get the faders on the mix window to show, for the sends?
On Mac Command-Click on the Send dot on the left. On PC Start-Click.
Cheers!
Mike
Shift+Click the send

+slamcrank Cheers SC!
I think I completely forgot to show the Gain Scale, bummer!
How does the Dynamic EQ work? Is it just one band or is there some way to turn each band into a dynamic EQ?

Michael White Thanks Mike!
Michael, have you looked into the DSM V2? What are you thoughts?
It's a small thing, but I wish you could hide the visual graph.

Your welcome. I'm sure you've probably figure that much out by now being this was a year ago when you made this comment aha lmao smh!
i waited the whole video for you to show the dynamic EQ section and never did lol.

Might be worth a separate video.
Please do. I'm also wondering how to use the Dynamic Eq feature on this beast...
You sound like Lazlo from GTA
