Those of you involved in calisthenics, practicing handstands or are doing exercises which stress the wrist, this is the video for you. The wrist exercises covered will be helpful for increasing wrists strength and to decrease pain. These stretches and exercises can be done at home, at the gym or anywhere with some floor space. We need to do a variety of wrist pushups and fingertip pushups to strengthen the wrist joint. We will be talking about wrist push up progression and going over the most useful gymnastic wrist strengthening exercises.

FitnessFAQs Hey Daniel, brother a quick word of advice from you please. Will some of these movements go well for a friend of mine that broke one of her wrists before. It’s been almost 2 years but she has minor arthritis in the fingers and obvious wrist pain for even attempting to do something like a push up. Will basic mobility and eventually gradual strength progression of your movements in this video be the right step at this point in time for her?

0:41 Wrist Flexion facing knees - fingers curled, rotate elbow pits forward and rock back and forth
1:20 Wrist Extension facing forwards - lean forward and back with elbow pits rotated forward and then back every rep. Needed for pain free handstands,
2:01 Wrist Extension facing backwards - lean forward and back with mini-pause at the deepest stretch. Great for lengthening wrist flexors.
2:34 Ulnar and Radial Deviations - lean as far forward as you can handle.
Progression: Knees -> Feet -> Pushup variations
3:34 Fingertip Pushups - also strengthen forearms which have a stabilisation role at the wrists.
4:24 Back of Palm Pushup - turn elbow pits forwards. Be careful, use a small range of motion starting out.

Glendizer GO ! just drink enough water before working out and when inhaling try to limit the amount of air in your lungs and when exhaling try to do it slowly, I do this while running for too long to not faint because of lack of oxygen, and don't go by the myth of breathing faster helps because believe me it doesn't.

It causes my wrists pain and numbness when doing pushups for longer durations.... which is often since I'm in the Army and I have PT scores to maintain.
