Thanks so much for this well-needed update on the Adrenalin software! Comparing this video to the 23/24 version, this one is a huge improvement and for someone like me who is coming from Nvidia, this helps me better understand the AMD tech. I have a follow-up question about Radeon Chill since you recommend it for single-player games. I currently do not use it for any of my games or in general, but would like to. I saw that you gave examples on how to set Radeon Chill for 165hz monitor and 138hz monitor based on the FPS you're getting. My question is, what would be the best way to set this up for a 240hz ultrawide monitor? For example, I play Resident Evil 2 Remake and I have the in-game FPS capped to 120 to use AFMF2 which gets me to 240 while utilizing less power. In a scenario like this, what would be an efficient idle and peak range to use? Is it even worth it at that point? I've even considered using it for The First Descendant as well since UE5 seems to be heavy on stutters for that game no matter what lol.
first of all you should not cap to 120 due to fps fluctuations. You should cap at 118 for example and THEN use AFMF, so if you have fluctuations you can still be inside the Freesync range. Use chill to cap at 118 and then use AFMF2
@@AncientGameplays I think I understand this a little better. So using RE2 Remake as the example, I shouldn't use the in-game FPS limiter and instead, have Chill be the limiter? The game only gives specific options so it doesn't allow me to add 118. Also, never mentioned it but I am using the Red Devil 7900XTX Guess I have been doing this wrong the entire game for a few games LOL thank you so much, Fabio!
I nearly watched the entire video with a few skips here and there just because I knew they weren't important, but it was an informative video so thank you for making it!
@@AncientGameplayscoming back after just putting together my new build. Already got some great fps going to follow the video more in depth now that I have the software on my new build. Cheers man ❤
Upgraded from my (still great) 6600 XT to a 7800xt (I upgraded from 1080p and needed something beefier) and I'm very happy with the performance/cost. Being able to max everything out and not worry about it is kinda nice. Had this video saved and waiting for me. Great one as always.
@sammiller6631 pretty good. Pretty stable 70 fps in 3440x1440 in the zone, on epic settings. It dips around 55-60 in town due to NPCs. Upscaling looks good so it is good for getting some extra frames, then i get over 80 in the zone. Had a bit rendering issues (White pixels in the side), for an hour, which has resorted itself. The game is less demanding in graphics than I feared. But damn you need a good CPU. I have the 7800X3D, and it has to use all its power. Besides that the game loves RAM, so not to many background applications, should be running meanwhile gaming.
@@Squidgy55 I have 32 GB. Game has crashed two times due to 100% RAM usage. So I close all background applications before playing and have not had a crash since. I almost bought a 64GB kit, but I assume that developers will make some patches for the leaks,

thank you for this video! liked and subscribed! I am running a 3080ti in my main gaming PC which I luckily got at retail price ($899 >< ) and now they want $2200-2500 for a 5090 - yeah no way, I'm out. I'm going AMD. This past week I upgraded my family pc from RX 5700 to RX 7600 XT for $300 and it performs AWESOME! It pulled 75 fps in Black Op's 6 benchmark at 1440p $300! I hope RNDA4 is an improvement but if not, I'm getting a cheaper 7900 XTX and Nvidia can take a flying leap into the worst sewer in chyna I have been using nvidia personally for so long I needed this video to help me with the adrenaline software!!
Your channel is superb. Been into pc gaming a long long time. Going way back to my first pc, a 486dx2 with it's dos os. Your accuracy on adrenalin drivers performance is especially impressive.
Radeon Boost feels like that old app back in the mid 2010s called HiAlgo Boost. The Dev thought of only necessarily scaling down the render resolution only if it's really needed because there's no reason like maybe walking on an empty road with no mobs, NPC, etc on lower resolution when it's just fine on the higher resolution. Keep switching resolution is a hassle. That was a brilliant idea until spatial upscaling becomes the more superior option. I think they also made HiAlgo Chill. Wait...
Thank you so much!! This video is a godsend because I litteraly just got a new pc. Went from Nvidea to AMD and was clueless. Thanks!!!! New Sub! We have the same gpu and vram haha
I needed to watch the full video since I’m a first time user for a graphics card and this helped a lot I’ll keep it for future references thanks a lot man!!
Should be to fix "user errors" considering 90% of amd issues are generally user error lol. Have had a 580 8gb, 6600xt, 6800xt and now a 7900xtx have yet to any issues.
Awesome video. Completely answered my questions. I wish they would just add a little more explanation to their own (?) help tags. I was so confused. And most of them sound good but like you said are for older GPUs or older games and will actually hurt newer titles or enable an older technology than what the game may already have enabled.
3060ti/5800x to 7900xtx/5800x3d... as someone who has always run Nvidia and was a bit overwhelmed with the new adrenaline app, this video is amazing! You deserve so many more subs bro!
welcome to FCU - Fabio Cinematic Universe, here you have movie length videos about testing single GPU, drivers and all, after single video here, you won't need to look for 20 5-minutes ones, those are all you need!
Thanks. With your earlier videos, I had pretty much all of these settings close enough. But great to hear from you on what is what, and I may go back and check some of the more specific videos for my older kit.
About 10bit pixel format refers to the number of colors that your monitor allows, in monitors with 10bit color it allows you to use this color format and I notice especially in the gradients of the main menu of Windows when I activate this option the lines that differentiate the colors are blurred in a softer way.
Veteran on AMD here, RX480 - RX5700XT - RX6700XT and now on a RX7800XT + i5 12400. I use a 1080p 75hz display for single player and a Ultrawide 21:9 for the simracing both with Freesync and ALWAYS cap my FPS on 60 or 120 with MSI Afterburner,. I will check the Radeon Chill option thk for explain that Fabio. Great explanation and great video, I watched full. I add one thing: if the game don't have driver support/update not always is possible to adjust the settings individualy for that specific game, like for example, STALKER 2 yesterday.

The best settings are the default settings. The only thing I'd say is mandatory is creating a fan curve. The fan noise on AMD cards is insane at 90 to 100% speed
@@deathFrom4bovereally? I bought the same card two months ago and it barely makes any sound at max fan speed. Maybe it depends on the model and the no. of fans in it 🤔
This has nothing to do with AMD. All cards are loud when the fans blow over 80%. This is physics - wind creates sound. Custom fan curves are needed for all cards - some have already really nice curves that don't need much tweaking most, Nvidia and AMD, don't.
That's a great and very detailed guide with clear explanations, I just bought RX7800XT and came across your video which helped me understand all these terms. Thank you so much!

just got my 7800 xt and I watched the whole video and surely plan to watch more of ypur amd videos!
Thank you!
great info to help guide us through the many Adrenaline settings, many thanks! And yes I do watch the whole video, a lot to get through but worth it.
Also, never mentioned it but I am using the Red Devil 7900XTX
Guess I have been doing this wrong the entire game for a few games LOL thank you so much, Fabio!
cool this video i love it and its very interisting for any AMD user gpu!!very happy see in new video again!!have great time!take care
I nearly watched the entire video with a few skips here and there just because I knew they weren't important, but it was an informative video so thank you for making it!
The video that I was waiting for.
I’m so glad I found your videos. I’m completely new to AMD so this helped me out a lot.
Chill is truly a must. Nothing new to me but had to watch it to the end anyway. Nice video indeed! Good for new or curious Radeon-gamers :)
Thank you!
My friend showed me your content and very thankful you test so many things. Thank you ❤
Thank you and welcome 💪💪
@@AncientGameplayscoming back after just putting together my new build. Already got some great fps going to follow the video more in depth now that I have the software on my new build. Cheers man ❤
2025 is crazy , thanks for this video tho , been enjoying my rx 6800 a lot
Watched the whole thing must say an Very Good Video, helped out a lot good work 🙏
Perfeeeeeeeeeeeeect, build my first PC since 2009 now that I can afford it, went straight for 7900 XTX :D
Just finished your video. Tahnk you for such a detail explanation!
Just got my first graphics card (7800 xt) and this video helped me a lot!
Great video, thank you so much for this! It helped me out a ton, still getting used to this AMD software after many years of the green team.
Glad to help!
That was a great video. Just what I was looking for! Thank You
Glad it was helpful!
Watched the full video, great info., thank you. And I'm fixing to look up your tunning videos for my GPU and CPU.
Yooo I didn't know they had a color blindness adjuster, I know what I'm fiddling with when I get home. Thank you!
I believe they do yes
watched whole video and shared to friends and family. Keep up the good work fabio 👍
Upgraded from my (still great) 6600 XT to a 7800xt (I upgraded from 1080p and needed something beefier) and I'm very happy with the performance/cost. Being able to max everything out and not worry about it is kinda nice. Had this video saved and waiting for me. Great one as always.
I did the same thing. Gonna get a DP 1.4 cable cuz I only have an old HDMI one for my 144hz monitor
@@danielvelkov116My monitor came with 2 display port cables, check your box.
i watched the full video i love your content as always. Your the only channel i trust for any AMD troubles or information
You call me crazy watching your whole vid? Oh my AMD Jesus 😂 was a pleasure and many info i didnt know yet. Thx a million my Friend😊
Thank you as well!
Watch the whole video, you instantly got my like and subs, keep give us good information bro👍
Thank you as well!
Perfect timing as always Fabio! Just installed new RX 7900 XT for STALKER 2
How's your 7900 XT working with STALKER 2 so far?
@@crm484How much RAM do you have?
@@Squidgy55 I have 32 GB. Game has crashed two times due to 100% RAM usage. So I close all background applications before playing and have not had a crash since. I almost bought a 64GB kit, but I assume that developers will make some patches for the leaks,
@@crm484 Sounds like they need to. There is no reason 32gb isn't enough for a video game. Hope they fix it.
I watched the full video. 😄 Thank you so much!
Awesome video :) are u going to be doing a Video for Best Settings for Nvidia Control Panel 2025?
As stated in the end. Yes
Thanx man! Got a new amd card and no idea of the settings. Watched the hole vid😅
Thanks!
It was a great watch. I watched the whole video 💪 At 4:18, and it had me laughing; I appreciate you breaking down the Adrenaline software. Keep up the good work 🙏👊
Thank you!!
I watched the full video and i value your clarity and explanations. I honestly didnt know about Radeon chill until now. God BLess, brother!
Hi Fabio, TDR stands for "Timeout Detection and Recovery". Thanks for the video. Abraço!
Thanks, abraço!
Thank you for this detailed video!
you are a good guy . Peace and love go out
Really appreciate for covering this niche man! i know this vid might not doing good right off the bat, but hope it's that one of those long lasting view video.
It will be fine, I am not worried haha
thank you for this video! liked and subscribed!
I hope RNDA4 is an improvement but if not, I'm getting a cheaper 7900 XTX and Nvidia can take a flying leap into the worst sewer in chyna
I have been using nvidia personally for so long I needed this video to help me with the adrenaline software!!
Glad I could help!
@@AncientGameplays I appreciate you bro!! :D
Crazy enough that I watched the whole video ! Thanks so much for this, always looking for info on AMD and you always come through !
Thank you as well!
Ma guy never fail to always give us good content and advice 🤝
watched full vid. really helpful
you help me often
thanks man watched the whole thing. got my 7800xt setup perfectly ❤
thank for being you excellent video
Wait...
i loved hialgo boost, i used it for playing RE6 on a FX 4300 without gpu xd
@itskastel I remembered playing NFS MW 2005 on my Celeron laptop with Intel HD with HiAlgo just so I can maintain 30fps 💀
Apparently, I'm crazy enough. 🙂 I changed some settings to match this newly rleased video.
Thanks again!
Thank you as well!
For me, I can only improve performance by increasing power budget (RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate)
That's normal
Thank you so much!! This video is a godsend because I litteraly just got a new pc. Went from Nvidea to AMD and was clueless. Thanks!!!! New Sub! We have the same gpu and vram haha
AMD jesus is here
I needed to watch the full video since I’m a first time user for a graphics card and this helped a lot I’ll keep it for future references thanks a lot man!!
Thank you!
Hell Yeah! We need a new tips to fix "AMD GPU's Problems"
Did one this year
Zero issues in 4 years. Not one crash besides bad ram.
Should be to fix "user errors" considering 90% of amd issues are generally user error lol. Have had a 580 8gb, 6600xt, 6800xt and now a 7900xtx have yet to any issues.
I had a few issues my first year with the 5700xt. After that it smoothed out really well. Just switched to a 7800xt and had zero driver issues so far.
@@mattblyther5426your experience is one of millions and doesn't reflect every user ever lol.
Been w8ting for this tnx a lot.. Very informative
10:46 Only for single-player/casual games
Awesome video. Completely answered my questions. I wish they would just add a little more explanation to their own (?) help tags. I was so confused. And most of them sound good but like you said are for older GPUs or older games and will actually hurt newer titles or enable an older technology than what the game may already have enabled.
i watch full video cuz i love you
💪💪💪💪
3060ti/5800x to 7900xtx/5800x3d... as someone who has always run Nvidia and was a bit overwhelmed with the new adrenaline app, this video is amazing! You deserve so many more subs bro!
Youre coming from the future!
Living in 2025 already
Thank you! You saved me lots of time....
welcome to FCU - Fabio Cinematic Universe, here you have movie length videos about testing single GPU, drivers and all, after single video here, you won't need to look for 20 5-minutes ones, those are all you need!
Hahahaha, good one
Another video watched till the end! Good job man! Tomorrow ill try my new settings in the stupidly none optimized game - Throne and Liberty!
Thank you! You can use afmf2 or lossless scaling
@AncientGameplays thank you! Will do!
I didn't notice that AMD had Jesus for this year😂
Hello, I'm from Brazil and your videos are of great quality.
But Fabio, how can this be the 2025 driver video if it doesn't include that amazing new feature we will absolutely get with 25.1.1? 🤔
Hahaha
Thanks. With your earlier videos, I had pretty much all of these settings close enough. But great to hear from you on what is what, and I may go back and check some of the more specific videos for my older kit.
Thanks for watching!
About 10bit pixel format refers to the number of colors that your monitor allows, in monitors with 10bit color it allows you to use this color format and I notice especially in the gradients of the main menu of Windows when I activate this option the lines that differentiate the colors are blurred in a softer way.
Wait, 10 bi pixel format and 10bit color depth are different things
Great video, Excellent Job, Congrats dude.
Thanks for the Video! I watched the whole thing cause I needed a full guide for the Adrenalin Software. Helped Big Times!!!
*subbed*
Now I have to search for your 7900XTX Video ;)
GVG MALLL!
Appreciate this kind of content as someone hoping to move to team red with a hopeful GPU upgrade after 7 years.
11:04 you need to disable freesync because it makes some input lag in competitive shooter, all pro disable it's
Unless you're a super hyper mega pro, i guarantee you can't notice the difference in latency between freesync premium pro and disabled
For the absolute lowest input lag, disable FreeSync or G-Sync directly on the monitor rather than through AMD Software or the NVIDIA Control Panel.
@@AncientGameplays I am not super hero pro, but I play CS2 faceit 7 lvl, and can notice differences, but I have asus vg279qm with 280hz and 400 average fps in game, and it have g-sync and only freesync compatible notice, not freesync premium pro. I play with 6700xt, so I use freesync.
Just built my 2nd pc, went from a gtx 970 + 4690k to a 7900xt + 7800x3d. Thanks for helping with the switch from NVIDIA to AMD!
You are in 2025 already! Ufff😅
😂😂💪💪
@@AncientGameplays You are so fast! 😁😁
Brother in Christ, I just learnt about the import/export settings and it´s something I´d lowkey wouldn´t have liked to know before😭, the times I´ve done a clean install or Windows reinstall and had to go through setting everything from scratch is about 20 or more
Also great video Ancient, always enjoy your content :)
The best settings are the default settings. The only thing I'd say is mandatory is creating a fan curve. The fan noise on AMD cards is insane at 90 to 100% speed
Such a true fact, i purchased rx 7700 xt 5 days ago, it's crazy loud under at high loads
Got the 7900xt i dont find it loud. Plus what's noise when your gpu is running cooler
@@parthsharma3956 i uavs the hellhound no issues
