Sainath ji 1. BRILLIANT rebuttal of every point against farmers - every accusation by govt supporters. 2. Brilliant placing of this agitation in the context of ALL of us...our fundamental rights. And why we ALL must support our farmers. 3. You have presented FACTS not emotional / ideological arguments and smokescreens. THANK you. Thank you Faye.

Faye... I have been following all your videos on this issue. How can people still label these protests as propaganda agitations. Mr. Sainath has well briefed how successive govts have failed to implement Dr. Swaminathan 's package for the agricultural sector. Lets not forget Bapu's words " India's soul lies in its villages ". The pandemic has really confined our spaces but our spirit, support and prayers are with the thousands of farmers fighting all odds to claim their rights. Our nation is not pawned to any goddamn party or crony capitalists.

What was the need of this act during an epidemic? What was it passed without any discussion with stakeholders? Why the ordinance even when the parliament was in session? Why was it passed by Voice vote in the Rajya sabha? What good will the decriminalizing of hoarding do? And why can't a farmer go to judiciary in case if a conflict??
Questions like these have not been answered by the govt. All this suggest some malicious intention of the govt..it seems the govt is giving dividends to the corporates that gave heavy money to BJP through electoral bonds..

Point of MSP and inadequacy of APMC / farmer is addressed by having a contract pricing on farm produce based on price, quality benchmarks before sowing with the farmer. Upon harvesting, farmer gets payment within 3 days. Time period of contract is 1 season to 5 years depending upon farmer's comfort with the agreement. What's the problem with this arrangement, especially in light of points on hoarding, pricing of farm produce, besides arm twisting of farmers over the years.
Either the farmer is and has been in problems for last many decades or are we creating problems by above measure???
Swaminathan recommendation of guranteeing MSP is just not doable, considering that gross tax collection of our country is almost equal to MSP subsidy.

Punjab Haryana etc. before green revolution were multi crop producing states in organic way. But India needed Rice and grains so government pushed these states to get away from organic and diverse cultivation to the current one. They being emotional did everything they could to feed the nation. Now they are being targeted by the government. We want to grow diverse and organic food but not everyone is capable of creating a new market which will benefit them. Market government is trying to give is biased against farmers and in favour or corporate sector. Government is playing most irresponsible, immature and partial role here.

During the Hitler era, there was a massive change in Germany.
There was a super upper class of individuals created that were highly positioned in industry and politics.
The middle class were virtually crippled economically, so that they became almost powerless to run their lives.
They were offered more dependency on the state in lieu of handouts, to overcome the very economic hardships that were created by the state.
Their trade freedoms were taken away, to be replaced by handouts from the state.
A totalitarian police state was implemented to ensure that these changes would be of a permanent nature.
Once the controls were fully in place, the economic handouts were slowly removed.
Upon making the state subjects fully dependent on the state, their power to oppose the state was severely curtailed.
This transformation was sold to the state subjects by the Nazis as a benefit, rather than an enslavement.

Shekar Gupta of Print doesn't explain the farmers bill as draconian. He offers a different view all together. One of the problem is the produce of grains by farmers far exceeds the needs of the consumer. To deal with the problem the farmers need to produce raw materials for edible oil which India is importing. Mr.Sainath has not addressed those glitches. Faye please help clarify those points. Thanks

Answer is very simple, even if they intend to, after understanding the laws, the scamgress and tukde tukde gang people are not allowing them to to do so as they have taken over the strike and the few farmers sitting over there are helpless!!!
