In Taekwondo, you see the practitioners fighting from a bladed stance. That stance is very vulnerable when it comes to low kicks. You see they also drop their hands. Their heads are VERY MUCH exposed to a good combination of punches. With all due respect to the Muay Thai fighter in this video, he did a poor job in closing the distance and utilizing his arsenal (but they probably set up rules barring punches and elbows). He also had a poor guard which left his head exposed and given that he's allegedly a Muay Thai practitioner, he should have known better to keep a high guard. In the end, the Taekwondo fighter did win fair and square. But it is foolish to think that style does not matter when it is clear that one style has a clear advantage over the other.
