You are amazing, and I'm not lying when I say that this is the best cover of this song that I've heard, it shows the technique and passion, as well as the agility, I was impressed
Drum breaks are soooooo accurate that i’ve never seen in other drum covers. Amazing, this bro got a lot a talent and done too much practice too. Respect 🫡
Super awesome thanks, im filling in for an upcoming gig, and this was a tune on the list. I had never heard it before and was blown away when I sat down to learn it. Your video is awesome 👌 👏
I've watched this song performed live both in person and on video and without exaggeration, you play it better than Matt Helders himself. Also, you tuned your drums perfectly for this one.
Holy Shit!!! I've watched a ton of your instructional vids but this is the first time I've seen you really play and I must say that that was awesome. I'll keep practicing !! Thanks for all the help Jeff🙂
In my opinion, better played than the original drummer live. I'm learning this song to play with my band. Very helpfull. Thank you! I'm a fan of your channel for a long time.
Great playing as always man! Do you learn all these songs only by listening to them or you also read transcripts and watch the original drummers play them? I find amazing how you manage to play note for note on every cover u do.
Thanks Miguel! I do a lot of listening to the original song and I’ll go and watch some live footage of the band performing it for those parts where I’m not quite sure what’s going on. I’m not actually trying to play it exactly like the original recording. I’m trying to honor the vibe of what the original drummer played while adapting it into my own style of playing. Much as I would if I was going to play the song out on a gig. Hope that helps!
@@JeffRandallDrummingOh I see. Thanks for the reply! I didnt mean to say you play them exactly the same but its so true what you said about honoring the music. It's something drummers tend to forget since our instrument is so loud and sometimes rely on this to let little important details pass. Your drumming is so clean and one can see intention in every note you play. Big fan here.
you should make a cover or lesson from scar tissue, i think your feeling and techniques fits very well in this song. thanks for playing good and for us!
That’s a great idea. I’ve been thinking about “Dani California” as an option as well. It’s a bit more upbeat which might make a more entertaining cover. Not sure though. I definitely wanna do some Chili Peppers at some point!
Even though it's not note by note perfect, seems to sound even better than the original (i.e. 16th note fill instead of 32nd...). Less is more...Great cover with great feeling :-)

Great Amigo! You obviously master the technic and you blend it with the right attitude, which is something you can’t learn, pure talent bro... Just a couple of questions please: Are you playing on a drumless track or on the original song? Do you edit a lot (I mean compression, EQ etc) or are we earning a direct sound? Thanks ;)
Thanks bud! I’m just playing to the original track and I do some basic mixing to my drums like EQ, compression, saturation, and reverb. Hope that helps!

I’ve held the opinion that this is one of the best drum tracks for a rock song in the last decade. Crushed it bruv
Yeah man, it’s definitely up there. His drums sound huge and his playing is really raw which I appreciate. Thanks man.
Yrah, it's very rich in tempos
I’m more into guitar but i even thought that myself had to look up some covers
you sir are a machine. that was flawlessly executed, extremely tight but without losing a single ounce of the jam/fun factor. super inspiring 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks very much Sara!
