I had one, it would lift the front wheel, in 4th gear, at close to 100mph. I went to the R1, in 98. My current 05 R1 in some respects reminds me of the YZF-1000 in it's configuration.
100 mph front wheel lift at 130 hp at wheel at 300 kg with rider with this weight distribution which it have is imposible 👌🏻cos its only around 220 kg force at back wheel 220 :300 = 0,733 G force including drag at cda 0,40 you get 170 kgf for drive inertia bike with you on it its close to 0,5 G assuming this bike have balance aerodynamic so no up lift even to certain point up,ift give nothing in terms of lift front wheel from tarmac 🤷🏻♂️👍🏻 if you bike dont have tune and alot more hp than stock i call it bs 😉👌🏻 and if it really can do it than aerodyanmic is 💩 in this bike 🤮for lift fromt wheel at 100 mph for 300 kg inertia with 30 hp eatbe drag you would need like close to 200 hp at back wheel =220-230 hp at crank assuming aerodynamic is balanced and bike start lift front wheel close to 1G so typical weight distribution 😉👍🏻
That bike has got to be a screamer. I am a 65 year old riding a 1700 Yamaha Road Star that I did a few tricks to up the HP. Why I did that? I have no idea, I guess because I could. My Road Star puts out 97.3 HP now and it's a hand full for this old man. The bike weighs 1000 pounds with me on it and it wants to ride on the rear wheel if I give it too much throttle in the first two gears. I stopped beating the fck out of my bike, I have finally learned to cruise, giving the old bike enough throttle to say ahead of everything else on the road.
@@mr.wolfenstein4668142hp to the crank, 126hp to the wheel. 119hp after all does years it seems respectful, althou he made the test in 3th gear, i think that in 4th it had given a little bit more, like 3/4hp more
Badass bike still today
Thanks brother. Sold it to get something more comfortable for the Misses

Nice. I'm looking for something new. But with yearly registration here in Québec being extremely high for me now it would have to be a sports touring.

I have owned many Thunderaces and they won’t won’t lift the front wheel in 4th.
