A lot of people forget that Paul was actually formally trained in presentation and teaching, he wasn't just a skilled shooter. @@Bababooey42-E And there's nothing keeping them from being taken from there either. My point is Paul's information is far too important to entrust to any tech company's private server.
Thanks for the presentation Roy. I purchased a Mossberg Maverick yesterday while wearing a Paul Harrell t-shirt and the guy behind the counter noticed and said he was a fan of the channel; the legacy endures.🙏
Yep. It's the best channel for consistent, comparable tests with cartridges including lots of data as well as the meat target tests, which, in my opinion, are more interesting than just gel blocks
This is the kind of content that made this channel special. Glad to see this kind of stuff continued. 16" = 737 ft lbs | 6" = 555 ft lbs | 4.5" = 500 ft lbs - Pretty significant boost going to the carbine barrel over the standard pistol.
You get about 700-800 ft lbs from .357 Magnum out of a 16" barrel. 10mm Auto and .357 should do essentially the same thing, but 10mm lets you have a semi-automatic carbine and handgun, possibly even interchangeable magazines. The advantage of a .357 Carbine is you can also shoot .38 Special, where that's relevant. .40S&W will chamber in 10mm Auto firearms (as Roy demonstrated)... I don't recall whether accuracy is affected. I should rewatch Roy's video on that subject.
@rdrrr yeah, only problem is 40 and 10mm are around the same price point since 40's fall from popularity, so it's kinda moot to shoot 40 out of a 10mm unless you just want less recoil perhaps. On the topic of 357, something I've always wanted to see was an M1 carbine in 357, but who knows if that'll ever happen. I'd definitely buy it if it did.
Roy is comming into his own as of late. I had my doubts the first few videos, but the more videos he does, the more comfortable he is becomming. I no longer doubt him as a host. I am really starting to enjoy his style and humor. The soda jug hunting season really got me when he first did it. 😂

I am glad to see this channel live on. I bought a .25 ACP Colt the other day as a tribute to Paul. I have never owned or fired a 10mm. Never saw much of a need for one, but that Ruger Carbine looks pretty sweet !
I have both CMMG and Bear creek. The advantages the others have is 8-12" barrels available. A 16" barrel yields lower velocities than mid ranged due to friction. Your best 10mm velocities are around a 10" barrel.
Good to see you Roy! Thank you for carrying on. If that's an AR style front sight, the special tool you need is a 5.56/.223 bullet tip. Alternately a pen, nail, screw or other pointed object will do.

Dear Roy and the Crew, whereas i am not in the market for this carbine right now, i do appreciate the time and effort you took to make this video. I wish You and the future of this channel the best.
The problem I have with all PCCs - including 10mm (which I like) - is that once you get beyond a 10-12" barrel you rarely gain any velocity from most pistol cartridges. If you're going to be toting a 16" barrel and a 26+" OAL, you might as well do a bullpup in a rifle cartridge, 5.56x45 or 7.62x51. The 5.56x45 will be cheaper to shoot than a 10mm anyway.
