    각도 7.8도는 어떻게 해서 맞추신 것입니까? 다른 영상보니 7.5도로 하는 것도 있었어요. 화분 크기에 따라 다른가요?

      Yes, it depends on the sizes of the pot and the thickness to the pot. I used Sketchup to build my model before cutting them.

    Aloha Victor beautiful work I will give this one a trial I made a bucket for planter wishing well which I cut 15 degree angles on both sides of the redwood pickets I used to make my project I have a bunch of pine 2x4s that are not actually 1.5 x 3.5" because ends are factory bad, so I'll see what width i can get it as straight as possible

    What do you use so it doesn't get affected by humidity?

      I used Minwax spar Urethane. I used on a few of my wooden pot, as long as you seal them well, I don't see any crack or mold. I think you can also use Epoxy Resin as well.
      Here is the product description: Minwax® Pro Series Spar Urethane is a professional, water-based, crystal clear protective finish that forms a protective barrier against rain, moisture and sunlight.

    Nice! How do you figure out the diameter?

    • @victorhe7200
      @victorhe7200  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. First we need to know what rough diameter we want, then we can Sketchup to create a plan. Because the actual size of 2x4 stud is 1.75x3.75 inches. And after planing will be 1.5x3.5 inches. The 3.5 inches will be the max width for one of the outside edges. We can choose how many edges we need to create a circle in Sketchup. So we can play around the diameter, the edge width, and the edge numbers to see what fit our need.

    Can you tell me how that angle is calculated???

    • @victorhe7200
      @victorhe7200  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used SketchUp to create the model first. Depends on the thickness of the wood and the side of the pot. You can play around the number of segments of a circle in Sketchup, then give it the thickness you want. Then measure the angle from there.

      ❤❤ also I found it’s mathematical formula thanks

    Thank you for sharing this beautiful work. Your math is correct - 78.7 for each side - so why did you need to customize the last piece? Is the customized piece #16 or #17? Thank you for replying.

    • @victorhe7200
      @victorhe7200  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Alan, thank you for bring up the question. The last customized piece needed because I couldn't get the exact angle cut. Here are a couple reasons might cause the problem. My tablesaw tabletop and the insert plate are not completely flat, so the angle I measured against the insert and the angle against the tabletop are different. I chose measured again the tabletop because it's more firmed. Also because my tablesaw is just a jobsite saw. It's not very powerful. The force I used to push the wood through was not even. Sometimes the blade will bend slightly that would add up to huge difference. So after cutting all of the pieces with two sided, the gap added up so big.

    Measurements? Dimensions? Angle cut on 2x4's?

    • @victorhe7200
      @victorhe7200  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The outter size of pot is 14inches high, 14inches diameter. I prepared 16 pieces cut 2x4. 14 inches long, width 2.75 inches, thickness doesn't matter. Angel is 78.7 degree on two edges.
