This brings back a memory of when I was in my late teens, I grew up in a wealthy town and Ferrari 308’s were commonplace there. This model GTO had just been announced and it was on the cover of all that months car magazines. One morning what I thought was a 308 caught my eye as it pulled up to the stoplight downtown, my jaw dropped when I realized it was the GTO, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I recognized the driver and it made sense, it was likely the first GTO to be delivered to the U.S. I spent that morning thinking how lucky I was to see such a rare car until later that day I was standing at the same intersection and an older red Ferrari pulls up to the light, it was an original GTO... same driver. I will never forget that day.

When this car came out, I remember thinking at 1st glance it looks much like the 308 GTB/GTS. Then after reading more about it and seeing it more, I realized it looks very different from the 308. Performance wise of course, this car obliterated the 308 and pretty much every other car at the time. I absolutely love this car. With the 275 GTB/4 and 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, these are my favorite Ferraris.

For 50k you can get your self a nsx, that is more pratical, comfy, has boot space, and a high reving 8000 rps V6 3.0 Engine, and when you pass in center of the city no body want to touch, take photos or just approuch to your car, ferrari attract soo much attention that i would be scared for my car.. after trying the Maserati GTs and Ghibli i'm preparing my self to drive a F430 my first ferrari a 💯💯🔥🔥

Einer der schönsten, wenn nicht der schönste Ferrari, der je gebaut wurde. Die geschwungene Form der Kotflügel, die Heckansicht, einfach alles an diesem Supersportwagen ist eine Augenweide. Als er 1984 auf den Markt kam, hatte ich meinen Führerschein gerade ein Jahr, doch dieser Traumwagen sollte für immer ein unerreichbarer Traum bleiben.
Heutzutage ist er ein Vielfaches dessen wert, was er damals gekostet hat. Kostete er mit 265.000,- DM schon in den 80ern ein kleines Vermögen, muss man Heute Millionen Euro für ein gut erhaltenes Exemplar berappen, falls überhaupt eines zum Verkauf steht. Natürlich kann er den Wert betreffend einem 250 GTO von 1962 nicht mal im Ansatz das Wasser reichen, doch was die Fahrleistungen angeht, ist er ihm um Längen voraus.
Der 288 GTO war der erste für die Straße gebaute "Supersportwagen" von Ferrari. Ihm folgten der F40, der F50, der Ferrari Enzo und zuletzt der Ferrari LaFerrari.
Eine wunderschöne Fahrmaschine, die ich jedem heutigen, mit Elektronik vollgestopften Supersportwagen vorziehen würde. Vorausgesetzt ich hätte das nötige Kleingeld ;)

The Ferrari 288 GTO is simply the most beautifully styled car to ever be built by the hand of man!! Bucket List car for sure if I ever win the Lotto!! For now though, I had to settle for my 85' 308 GTS QV Restomod with a 3.4L build (300+ whp). I've always loved the 308 styling and is the reason why I absolutely LOVE the 288 GTO!!!

Horsepower has gotten so insane. It really feels to me that cars like these have a greater appeal then mega dollar hyper cars. 400 - 500 hp and a light, sports car chassis. Beautiful lines as well.

A beautiful example of a classic Ferrari...the wheel/ tire combination, not so much. It appears to be sitting a bit taller than I remember. Saw one of these as well as other classic Ferrari's at Lime Rock Park many, many moons ago.

Rarer than that Ferrari is that parking garage. A parking garage like that in Germany with enough space to back out and make turns is rare. I would say this is 1 of maybe 2 that exist.
