One never tires of seeing performances by both/either of these virtuosi! The fireworks of Tre Fontane are blazing in this rendition with such seamless and thrilling meter changes. Peter's drum breaks add some serious spice - love that technique! Both musicians are a constant source of inspiration.
Peter Maund's technique on the doumbek reminds me of how the Wolof griots of West Africa play the tama and sabar. The rhythmic patterns are different of course, but the complex finger work is very similar.
you could come to present in Brazil? because I can't go to the United States to see them! I know musicians at Sala Sao Paulo who likes their presentation and their music!! why do not come?? I wanted to know them and see them play here!!
Recorder playing of a clarity rarely heard - and what a fantastic percussion accompaniment!
The world is a more musical place because of Peter Maund

I was lucky enough to take a drumming workshop with Peter......I'm still decompressing! The guy is fantastic.
What a discovery! I could easily lose myself in this channel for hours. Thank you for sharing these amazing performances.
You can find this recorder and more at the workshop of Peter van der Poel
