Man !!! You don't understand how glorius this pass is on a motorcycle !!! Up Sir Lowsie"s pass, Grabouw, Theewater Dam....down the pass....back up the pass...and again down to Franschoek for a ice cold local beer.....heaven !!!!!
I've been on a motorcycle a time or two in my younger days, so I can very well imagine what an exhilarating ride that must be! 🏍️ I prefer four wheels nowadays though. 😁🚗
Such a beautiful pass. I travelled this one many times with my Beloved. So all he good memories come back, but laced with sadness because I miss him so. Now, a question! When I still lived in Bellville 3 years ago, there beggars at every robot. But I havent seen a single one since I been watching you. What has become of these poor souls?
It is a stunningly beautiful pass, the view of Franschhoek from the top took our breaths away. 😍 Unfortunately poverty is still rife and there are beggars everywhere. We don't focus on them in our videos, but they're definitely amongst the people on the streets in the towns we explore, especially at shops where food is sold. 😢
Curtis-when you say Huguenot-is that the same as the peoples that settled here in the states, specifically New Paltz? What is that monument all about? How far from home are you on these little trips?
Yes, the Huguenots were French Protestants who fled France to escape persecution and settled in South Africa and the United States, amongst other places. The Huguenot Monument in this video represents the spirit of religious freedom. I was unfortunately too far away to show the woman clearly. She has a chain in her left hand and the Bible in her right. Our trips are from a Monday to Sunday and normally our furthest point from home is about 700km (or 430 miles). We'll start travelling further soon though. 😊
Its a very stunning view from the pass yhooooo👏
Very interesting and also beautiful, cant believe there are so many places like that.
The natural beauty is astounding! 🤩 You're right, we don't realise how many such places there are to visit in South Africa.
Fantastic. One of my favourite places at the weekend. Gorgeous Mashaallah
It is a fantastic place to visit, I'm sure you never run out of places to go and things to do. Enjoy! 😁

At 08:49 you can see the people standing with their water containers. There's a natural spring there on the side of the road.

Go to Lerpertiete Ferme for breakfast
As far as I know, they only serve lunch and dinner. 👍
