Timestamps in the description for hopping around. If you just want to hear some factory presets, I've linked to my Preset Showcase. If you want links to all sorts of documentation other than the crap quick start guide TC provides, links for those are in the description as well. Enjoy.
Thanks a ton for this! I just got mine delivered a couple of days ago, and it's a bit daunting when you first start messing with it. This video has already saved me hours. For anyone with a Line 6 Helix, this is an absolute pleasure to have onboard. Ive got mine patched into Send/Rec 1&2 for full stereo, and a MIDI control for the Tap Tempo. The Helix delays can be nice, but no comparison to the real deal.
Great Job! review and demonstration. Thank you! I used a rack mount 2290 for years and it was the heart of my rig. Hope this holds up to those standards for me.
Thanks for the review. I own 2 of the rack units, I was just thinking I hope they make a pedal soon, and bam, I check and they did. Super curious to hear if any rack owners have AB-ed against the pedal…if they nailed the sound the old interface is worth dealing with. Maybe they’ll update the firmware/software so it can be a true editor!
Mi è arrivato ieri , meraviglioso . Vorrei chiedere cortesemente : quando si salva un preset su una destinazione diversa , quello va a sovrascrivere quello esistente o c'e' una lista user che non sono riuscito a vedere .? grazie
HELP!!! There is NO "2290 App (MAC)" option on the TC Electronics in this video @ 12:52. It only has the firmware updater. I want the app, but cannot find it anywhere! It's driving me crazy!!!! HELP!!!
It's there, I searched it just now. www.tcelectronic.com/downloads.html Search "2290 p" Then scroll down in the list, it's below the firmware versions and documentation. There are also "pages" you can change if its not showing on the first page.
Love this pedal. Does anyone know if there is a way to set the "Learn/Tap" to control the modulation rate? I'm hoping to do some tap tremolo types of effects. I also strongly recommend adding an expression pedal - can do all kinds of things like have it control feedback and mix levels in a fully customizable way.
The purpose is to store anything other than a factory presets, which are typically presets you've modified or created. Having them there gives you access to them later should you want to put any back on the pedal at a later date.
I can only think of 1 other delay you can do it with, and that would be the Meris LVX. It's simpler in the fact that you can hook it up to a computer and it has a computer editor, so setting that up wouldn't be too daunting. But I don't know that on it's own that pedal is simpler. I've done a walkthrough on how that pedal works as well. IMO, I like the LVX more than the 2290 p.
Thanks for this it’s much more logical than I was first expecting! Very retro in a way. I remember my first experience with a DDL( rack unit) . Back in 1985-6 ish can’t remember what it was but it was simply amazing at the time and this although not a rack reminds me very much of it !!
Wait, in the Tremolo section, how is the modulation being applied to the dry signal? I thought the 2290P was true Analog Dry Thru, meaning the dry signal wasn't ran through the DSP???? This would mean the dry signal was in fact running through the AD/DA converters right???
I'd say that's probably a question for TC. I see nothing mentioned in their marketing material that it's analog dry through, nor in their manual, which typically means it isn't.
@@TriPedalReviews Someone over on TGP posted a screenshot of their Instagram account where TC replied "Yes, it's analog dry thu" to someone asking. I bet the intern running their social media doesn't know the distinction between ADT and True Bypass.
Many thanks and acolades for this user manual rendering. tc and company really should send you some gear as it is an embarassment to release such a cool, fun pedal without any sense of a manual or tutorials. I mean what an insult to any Engineer from process to design not to fully document the versatile range of this delay pedal. I have never seen such poor product launch or failing to even mention the slightest upside to this pedal few if any others have, BUT you have to know how to use it. Perhaps some enjoy the monkey-flying-the-plane, turning knobs and trying to guess the effect thing there are just facets of this pedal you will never know. Did anyone mention a ms range of zero to .001 shy of 10secs, what?? Control of panning, delay, creating a chorus, flange, or how about a cool panning delay side to side while the dry comes up the center pan, I love trying to create patches like that.
....and yes we have to address the huge elephant of goof in the room, the utter lack of identifying presets on the unit, you can only go by numbers(1-64 A/B) . The app is not an editor but merely a library control naming thing, which has no param adjustments, only a read only thing/arrange the presets in the machine.
Note the title of the video. It's a tutorial video. If you'd like to hear no talking (I'm in the same boat most of the time myself) I did a video with almost no talking, 46 minutes of nothing but factory preset sounds. I also organized that video so people can hop around to particular types of sounds they are interested in instead of watching the entire thing. th-cam.com/video/timXuiRB_w0/w-d-xo.html

Brilliant, it was very daunting with no manual to speak of but now I can understand how to make the most of it. Thanks so much
This pedal has been on my radar since it came out. This is very helpful indeed. Thank you!

This is great. Thanks for your labor in putting it together. 🤙🏻
Great video! Thank you!
Thank you for the video and unofficial manual!
This was incredibly helpful. TC really should have done something like this.
Agreed.
Phenomenal work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Any idea if you can tap tempo the tremolo somehow?
Just a question (at least for now): if you need to slightly adjust the tempo you clicked on the tap switch, does the keyboard knob allow you to do?
Mi puoi spiegare cortesemente la funzione della sezione Users Presets nell'editor , non riesco a trovare una spiegazione nelle istruzioni. Grazie

Does the 2290 P is able to send midi control change thru midi out ?
so cool
Non riesco a trovare il midi information . grazie
whatever I do to a preset it times out and switches back to preset 1...
Did you notice that tc places a film over the led displays?
I don't recall if they did or not.
Hi, how can I access the midi channel selection? Thank you
Midi tab in the application. 14:25ish in the video.
Is there reverse delay on this ?
Is this similar to the sde 3000 BOSS?DUAL DELAY?
No. SDE 3000 from Boss is an all analog delay. This is a digital one.
@@TriPedalReviews thanks much for the info. I will dive in more into the TC as it’s just for home jamming with the loved ones.
@@fadlyhans82 the boss sde 3000 pedal is quite similar though
It is fully digital and a remake of a digital rack unit.

I love u, mua~~~
Am I completely blind, or is this pedal completely missing a BYPASS option?
You tap the switch for the preset that's active. IE if the light is lit above it, tap it and it bypasses the pedal.
to much bla blabla and not enough sounds !!!
