I really want to pick up a move bundle and a sharpshooter. At first I was skeptical but then I tried it out at my friends place and it was epic. Intuitive and easy to use!
@DonkeycrapTV - I got both Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 from after Christmas sale. I spent about $50 for both games. Haven't played yet, but I'm sure I'm going to have fun with these games using the sharp shooter. If you don't know which one to get, just get them both while they are on sale.
Looks great but people won't understand how well this actually works until they use it on a FPS. Tried a cheep version of this on MAG and shooting by pointing a gun at an opponent online is extremely immersive and oh so satisfying. Now with the controls tweaked on the sharpshooter it's going to be stunning and I believe the future for FPSs. This +KZ3 in 3d is going to be spectacular!!!
@bigjohn377 said "Look at 3:20, the reticle lags when the controller is moved across the screen." Thats because the ps move has to "guess" where your tv screen is by calibration of the internal gyros. Gyros can be laggy and easily thrown off when manipulating a pointer ( this is what you are seeing). The wii has NO SUCH LAG since it uses a superior IR (no guess) method of pointer manipulation with the sensor bar. It KNOWS where the TV is, so it's quick and responsive. MUCH BETTER FOR ONLINE.
@WINxTEC They have changed a lot of Socom's fundamental gameplay and I believe (and other long time Socom players) that it's because of the heavy push for the Playstation Move. Not saying that's the sole reason things have changed with the game but it's one of the main reasons.
@killmypain666 well, Ken Inagaki said that there are buttons on both sides of the sharpshooter, for left handed people as well, so I guess there won't be a problem with that
@ravenspe Well. I have played and owned every Socom game made. I love the series. I also thought it sounded dumb when they said it would be compatible with the move. I just bought killzone 3 and decided to try out the move. If you havent tried using the move before i highly suggest at least trying it out. I probably will never go back to using the standard controller again. But as far as the gameplay videos for socom, it does see very different than the other ones and i hope it doesnt suck.
Just played Move in the Killzone 3 Demo and Beta... it's really good... much better than in MAG or Biohazard 5 I can't believe I'm saying it, but it may become my preferred way to play Killzone. I'm not sure about third-person shooters like Socom and Uncharted, as the ability to rotate the camera is great on DS3 right-analog, but for first person games with KZ3's implementation... it's great, and really easy to get used to
Is the bottom thing that looks like a move controller an regular move controller? Do I have to pop off the golf ball thing to make it work ? Or is this a separate controller I need to get ? And do I need a ps3 camera to play ?
Man I'm so excited I ordered this today will get it on Friday YAY!! Even if the game sucked which I don't think so from what I've seen, the bundle kit is a great deal.
I can't wait for the socom 4 beta. The sharp shooter is the way to win every time. I trained it from kz3 campaign and now playing multi online warzone in one match and got 57 kills and 8 deaths. Good luck dual stick players for socom.
@JayPCM you do know PS3 have been working on the move for a VERY long time. remember the lil thing called an eye toy. thats when they first started to work on the move
This peripheral is FIRE, can't wait to get my hands on one, I noticed different decals and I wonder if those are just stickers or if they'll be different versions, either way I can't wait to play both games....DAMN!!
@killmypain666 Ken did infact mention that the Sharpshooter is ambidextrous, so south-paws like you and me can hold the gun like we naturally would. Watch the video again.
@algierssolja Where did you get the statistic of 23000 out of 60 million? Not to mention many PS3 owners don't have a gaming computer neither. The sharpshooter wasn't made to be easier than a mouse and keyboard. If anything its just another fun way to play this game.
@armyjeff147 The fact that they had to dumb down the game to make it accessible for the move controller. The game isn't even SOCOM anymore, just uses the name to increase sales. You'll see what I mean when you get a chance to play it (assuming you've played past SOCOMs), beta goes live for everyone April 5th.
@bigr31 CoD may hop on the bandwagon further down the road but for the time being this is a Sony/Zipper/Guerrilla toy. Those companies have way closer ties to Sony than Activision does (in bed with Microsoft) right now and since Black Ops is so far out the release gate, I'd highly doubt they'd even bother patching it in.
@happymerc o yeah definately BY FAR. it was called SoCrack remember lol. we couldnt quit playing...and when we did we had to get right back on after school or the next day we were SUPEr excited to get back on...these new socoms im not really EXCITED to get on and play like i was addicted with socom 2. ya know what i mean bro? u remember those days man? were u addicted too?
@sogetsu31 What kind of TV do you have? I noticed input latency varies from TV to TV. Most noticeably on bigger HDTV's. My 60inch XBR has noticeable input lag, but 32inch Sony has none.
Must be able to lock out the L3- depress the joystick. This was a major nuisance on socom 2. I ended up cutting the plastic levers out of my controller.
ok i'm sold, i was going to get kinect for the kids, but i hated the shooting games on wii with it's delay movements(like kinect) and it's off target gun games, ps3 move if one day they come out with a replaceable better camera, it would be awesome!
1. I played KZ3 demo with move recently and hands get tired very soon. I like the concept but won't your hands tired fast with this sharp shooter? 2. I usually play games in low light conditions and the "color" light at the top of the move controller is annoying when playing a high graphics game like KZ3. Anyone else out there who agrees? Just wondering.
@DonkeycrapTV i personally find Killzone 3 and it's story much better and feels more like a movie while Resistance's story just seems boring. It all goes down to the story, which story do you like better, which game have you been playing longer, and multiplayer!
Picked one up this weekend. 40 bucks isn't bad for what it is. Thought it wasn't supposed to come out till the 22, maybe my bestbuy just broke the street date.
@Pooverse this isn´t about logic this is about REAL GAMEPLAY argument and logic are useless when you can go a use them for yourself! if after use them you still thinck that, then this is just about preferences
@LuXun12 Either way, I'm still dissapointed instead of working on the next gen consoles, they are just cashing in on 8 year old technology marketed a little better.
its pretty hard to get used to, it doe not move as fast as you would by using your hands instead of the weapon. its very timestaking when theres a bunch of enemies shooting you from allover the place and you have to actually move the weapon all the way to one side just to move the camera. i kindah dont really like this i hope they make some inprovements on the movement of the PSmove
My question is whether or not it is usable for left handed people. I have shot guns left handed for many years. It would be weird to have to use it right handed and would probably cause me to not want to use it as much. Just my 2¢
@omgwtfbbq6666 actually it's not..... it's real intuitive and my opinion is that you don't get a better gun attachment out there! and you are going to find yourself going into combat mode when you get this in your hands!
@omgwtfbbq6666 It is. I bought it and used it for the first time in Killzone 3 last night. Definatly a different experience. There are a lot more buttons then I thought. However I have had a blast so far and I can't wait till I get used to the controller.
@X3BOOODYX2012 What do you mean by "3D motion"? You saying that its better then the keyboard map is just an opinion. Not to mention you really can't say that considering most PC games you can edit your map in almost all meanings of the word. All have you know, I own an Xbox 360, PS3, and a PC. I enjoy playing every one of them in there own way. I would also point out something about the original conversation starter but that was 3 weeks ago and I can't remember it.
@DonkeycrapTV get either of them. they are both great, i think kz3s multiplayer is better because i prefer strategy but resistance 3 is also amazing, get whatever u want. kz3 is harder and resistance 3 is easier to control
@aluhick said "this is about REAL GAMEPLAY " EXACTLY I played "The Shoot" and "Sports Champion" at frys. And played the move Killzone beta at my friends house. NONE of the pointers in any of those games play as QUICK or as ACCURATE or as RESPONSIVE as the wii's pointer in all wii games. The shoot was a laggy joke, sports champion selection menu was ok but not nearly as responsive as the wii, and in Killzone quick aiming from right to left throws off the pointer. Thats not preference.
@X3BOOODYX2012 I'm kind of wondering if you clicked reply on my name instead of some other guys? IE: the person that I was commenting against for bashing consoles. Oh, and the PS4 will probably not have better performance. And if it somehow does, the companies who make the GPU and CPU etc. will probably release something better in a month's time. The GPU and CPU is made by the same companies who release that stuff on the PC. I also still don't understand what you mean by 3D motion.
Here comes the end of playing games in the relaxed position...I think I'll spend 4 hours holding a gun in the air and sweating...Thats what I want to do right after a long day at work...Fuck this, I'm sticking to the dualshock.
The froward grip looks uncomfortable, not like a real gun at all. I would have put the Navagation Controller in the rear grip and have the forward grip more like a real gun.
i remember this looking way cooler and realistic when i first bought it
Still playing Killzone and Socom in 2021 👌
I really want to pick up a move bundle and a sharpshooter. At first I was skeptical but then I tried it out at my friends place and it was epic. Intuitive and easy to use!
"For left handed users" thanks for thinking of us!
This is actually a good design. If a new PlayStation aim comes out, or an attachment to it would be a stock and/or the reload mechanism.
Why the hell won't Activision have move support on PS cod games. I love playing with the Wii Zapper, but would be cool to use a gun on the ps4.
Who else is here coz they're looking for an alternative to the aim controller?
How that turned of? Still researching and nothing yet =(
@DonkeycrapTV - I got both Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 from after Christmas sale. I spent about $50 for both games. Haven't played yet, but I'm sure I'm going to have fun with these games using the sharp shooter. If you don't know which one to get, just get them both while they are on sale.
this is god damn DUCK HUNT, nintendo was 20 years ahead of the game son!
One of the Best videos on youtube , really loved the whole session
Looks great but people won't understand how well this actually works until they use it on a FPS. I still have this gun from when I was 11

@hmongcloud not really cuz the wii one uses all the buttons from the controllers and ps3 actually has buttons on the gun
3D tv+3D glasses+Socom 4 game+sharp shooter = AWESOME GAMING EVER
Just played Move in the Killzone 3 Demo and Beta... it's really good... much better than in MAG or Biohazard 5

Man I'm so excited I ordered this today will get it on Friday YAY!! Even if the game sucked which I don't think so from what I've seen, the bundle kit is a great deal.
Still a great deal?
I think so
I'd like to see Kinect do something this awesome. "I am pointing my finger and saying pew pew pew!"
@Pooverse ok good logic but when you use both youll see the difference move is way more accurate and less laggy
I can't wait for the socom 4 beta. The sharp shooter is the way to win every time. I trained it from kz3 campaign and now playing multi online warzone in one match and got 57 kills and 8 deaths. Good luck dual stick players for socom.
Yes its compatible with resistance 3
@JayPCM you do know PS3 have been working on the move for a VERY long time. remember the lil thing called an eye toy. thats when they first started to work on the move
@GpB217 The thumb on the rear grip will control movement.
Damn this was 6 years ago now our psvr aim controller
9 years now. I had never knew about this contraption
i just got mine delievered yesterday, and while i was a hater at first im now a believer. its amazing love it to bits. just a shame its red...
This peripheral is FIRE, can't wait to get my hands on one, I noticed different decals and I wonder if those are just stickers or if they'll be different versions, either way I can't wait to play both games....DAMN!!
Y que paso con las mirillas para no apuntar con el marcador de la pantalla?
this is the future of gaming
@killmypain666 Ken did infact mention that the Sharpshooter is ambidextrous, so south-paws like you and me can hold the gun like we naturally would. Watch the video again.

@iMixMaSteR1
It doesn't even replace the gameplay -_____-
PSmove is optional
@sogetsu31 What kind of TV do you have? I noticed input latency varies from TV to TV. Most noticeably on bigger HDTV's. My 60inch XBR has noticeable input lag, but 32inch Sony has none.

can the killzone machine gun for ps3 move be used without the move cover? I lost mine
Picked one up this weekend. 40 bucks isn't bad for what it is. Thought it wasn't supposed to come out till the 22, maybe my bestbuy just broke the street date.
I have one of these, but no ps3 move controllers do it's wall mounted
There is 4 colors in each remote... its just a light.
It looks like there's some rail on the top of the sharp shooter to mount an optic... I kinda wanna try that
this would work well on time crisis for now you dont have to mess up you up when pressing move button to come out of cover
the only thing to beat this is the way fry (from futurama) played when he got on the internet XD
@MegaManatArms I stand corrected. i had just never noticed the second one, cause its so small.
@ravenspe whats wrong with it being able to use either move or a standard controller on the same game.
any call of duty games that I can use the gun?
@Pooverse this isn´t about logic this is about REAL GAMEPLAY argument and logic are useless when you can go a use them for yourself!
if after use them you still thinck that, then this is just about preferences
Great way to use the PS Move
I'm assuming they'll be implementing this into Resistance 3 as well?
Y’all need to make one of these for the ps4!!!
Are you going to update this perephiral for the PS5?
@LuXun12 Either way, I'm still dissapointed instead of working on the next gen consoles, they are just cashing in on 8 year old technology marketed a little better.
light gun are for light gun games, fps need keyboard and mouse
This sharp shooter is compatible with the game resistance 3?
@Iforgot276
2/22, same day as KZ3. Gonna have to call in sick to work that day
Can we play shooter games using PS Move but without any gun support?
@armen12840 is that a question? do u want a good game with a dummy or decent game wit sharpshooter ?
0:29 Red PlayStation Move Motion Controller?
I'm a hardcore Move FPS gamer I only. Play mag with move, once you get the hang of it there is no going back to the ds3.
relic of the past
shud i get socom 4 budle or kz3 bundle?
its pretty hard to get used to, it doe not move as fast as you would by using your hands instead of the weapon. its very timestaking when theres a bunch of enemies shooting you from allover the place and you have to actually move the weapon all the way to one side just to move the camera. i kindah dont really like this i hope they make some inprovements on the movement of the PSmove

This would be cool to get for the ps4 if possible
A shame that this thing can't be used with PS VR.
@cantorock i thought only the Japanese called resident evil as biohazard.
Wouldnt this controller be better suited towards a FPS? The character should hide and u just see crosshairs if you use the Sharpshooter
whats the name of the soundtrack in the background ! please please
how do u reload by presing square are do something with ammo mag
Una pregunta, también esta para Call Of Duty¿?
Funciona con black ops
That's what Im talking about! Im getting it. Already got the Move.
Just few games for it.
is this compatible with Battlefield 4???
@happymerc they should re-release socom 2 in the psn store.
i hope there is a bundle with kz3 including the move the gun and the game
@omgwtfbbq6666 actually it's not..... it's real intuitive and my opinion is that you don't get a better gun attachment out there! and you are going to find yourself going into combat mode when you get this in your hands!
I swear to GOD, Socom 4 better be fucking amazing!

+Cristian Breschigliaro nope... but they will probably bring it back when ps vr comes out

socom 4 looks great !

Just about how much can I purchase one for? And also when are they releasing? Thank You.
this released like 9 years ago

@TheSmartPresenter004 only the wand? yes
@Nulcher what the hell are gaems?
