    My preteen kids can write me a 5 paragraph essay about why they should keep every single item, toy, plush, lego, doll, box, etc….. they are unconsciously practicing maximizing and I let go of all that is mine and it wasn’t enough because they have only filled the void with more of their precious lifelong items.
    What can I do? I can’t stand the clutter and I feel like I am clutter because it’s everywhere.

      I understand how this feels and it sounds so easy when talking about decluttering but the reality is it’s hard to let go of our things, this is especially true for our kids. Despite the fact they may never use these items! I recommend you go check out Clutterbug on TH-cam. She has some great approaches I’ve implemented with my kids and it’s incredibly helpful. Good luck!
