i use to just get by.. did it all on my own. now im sitting with over 250k in 3 years. grew up with nothing didnt finish school. got clean stayed out of prison. now i feel free with no worries. all because i got up and pushed hard everyday without doing any drugs and without a family. i will always remember where i came from. thanks everlast for helping out on those dark lonely nights.

i remember the first time i ever heard this song i was with my uncle johnny in his garage he just wanted someone to hang out with as he was fixing my mom's truck he offered for me to smoke some weed with him ,back then i had never really even smoked my mom was pissed when she found out lol i remmeber it was raining and their we where under a garage watching the rain as he fittIed with my moms air conditioning in her truck ,i knew nothing about cars and really had no interest in learning really ,but i was curious so johnny talked about what he was doing and would ask me to get him a tool and laugh and make a sarcastic comment about how i need be a man and learn this stuff lol i never remembered anything he showed me probably because I was high at the time he had just recently lost his job and he was struggling and remember this song coming out of radio as we layed on the ground looking up into this 2001 dodge rams under carriage he would point out all these different parts and i would nod my head :) like yep . miss you Johnny i hope your in a better place now where you dont have to struggle so much i love you man

since i saw this song i knew it fit me. its like, it shows my life almost perfectly. i hate how i aint livin but just survivin, i look around and all i see are a bunch of people who look like they got shit together and im just wonderin what the fuck im doin wit my life. and these people are walkin around all happy and content to live in their own little bubble while they buy meaningless shit and continue to live without a thought pertaining to outside their little bubble of their own little universe... sometimes this song hits me so hard, i just gotta put in some earbuds and go for a long ass run just to clear my head. it feels like this society we have built is suffocating me and i fukin hate it. i hate how people are so infatuated with meaningless stuff, just happy to be another consumer. i dunno man, i just kinda hate the times we livin in, hell i wouldnt mind the tech difference if i could live back a couple hundred years, back when shit was simpler and society wasnt such a fukin mess... right now, im aiming to probably be a paramedic or a firefighter, i need something like that, something i can do where it actually makes a difference instead of being cooped up inside an office for the rest of my life. i need the ability to at least make a difference in somebody else's world, to at least save somebody else because otherwise... i think i would lose it in this shithole of a world. i need to save someone so i can save myself. im not ever gonna contemplate suicide or anything stupid like that. that shit is for the weak, im gonna fight, im gonna keep on fighting and fighting till i collapse. but i feel like, i need my life to mean something to someone other than my family. family matters because theyre family. i just need to make a difference to somebody else, to save somebody else, so my life can mean something, so i can have an impact in this life. otherwise id probably lose my mind. hopefully in the future, i can become a firefighter or a paramedic, so i can make a difference and do something that actually matters to someone. not sit on my ass in an office all day, tryna make some extra cash for a giant fukin corporation. i dunno, i just fukin hate the times we livin in and some of the people we livin wit. some people are too happy to kill for something so little and thats fuked up. we got terrorist organizations everywhere, killing who they can. we got governments turnin against they own people. other govs acting out war crimes like nobodys business. for some people, killing is only wrong cuz of the law. for some, they aint got nothin like morals, and in their eyes, itf it werent for the law, they'd be all too happy to kill for their own benefit. its a fuked up and morbid world we live in. i just hope i dont fall prey to it. im suffocating and i dont know how im gonna last, but... ill be damned if i dont fuking fight to my last breath. *sigh* my bad bout the rant but i needed to get it off my chest. damn. fuck society. i doubt anybody is actually gonna read this, but whatever, doesnt really matter anyway
