    Ste, honestly, well done mate, this was one of the better post game interviews without making the player squirm either.

    Get Howson in front of these guys more; such a natural at interviews. Networks will snap him up after this cameo!

      He asks football questions instead of political/club/bullshit narrative questions; the players respond to that, obviously… He just doesn’t do it like the networks do

    • @athel_wolf4062
      @athel_wolf4062 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree. His first half against Betis was littered with poor first touches especially with balls dropping out the air. PL opponents will be at that level and higher. Not sure he’s ready tbh.

    You watch this and understand immediately that ste needs to be working at BT sport or sky. He humanises the interview and makes the players relaxed enough to answer openly and honestly and with knowledgeable questions and insight. As soon as the others started asking questions the players immediately tensed up.

      Love that sky sports are recording the interview with Heaton, so they will have Ste asking what the bleeding he'll he was doing.
      Also fair play to Heaton for realising it was a bit tongue in cheek and just answering. I'm sure plenty of keepers could have got the hump with a question Like that

  • @no9scrum

    The Heaton interview..
    Ste- bit of banter then asks about specific tactical formation, what’s the defensive changes and are they from the new coaches? Then checks if there’s confidence in Amas playing..
    Genuine “professional journalist” -
    “Did it feel good to be playing tonight?”
    And
    “How do you stay positive with injury setbacks”
    What’s the point in either of those questions?? These “journalists” moan about getting PR responses from players without actually asking them anything they can genuinely answer

    Amass is still raw, as we saw with some of his tackles and how he lost his man for the first goal, but he grew in the game, and the kid looks like he's a quick learner, and I see shades of Shaw in him, especially bombing down the wing.

    I really do like this kid, it's like they cloned Luke Shaw. He does need to work on his defending more which is to be expected at his age. they can't all be superstars. but i fear that if he keeps letting his guard down like he did for Betis first goal (not the first time) he will lose the place to someone else. I think a move similar to Fish's 2 years in Scotland would do him wonders. Otherwise he will just be playing when Shaw isn't fit

    We all need to calm TF down about Harry Amass, he isnt ready. Mistakes galore in pre-season, have none of you actually watched the games in pre-season? I dont want to come across as ultra negative, or a hater, i want him to succeed and rate his ability on the ball / potential, but he is being tore apart defensively this pre-season and Premier League wingers will absolutely devour him... i noticed he lost his head against Rosenborg, to the extent RvN went all the way over to have a word... just calm down people. Not every youngster is Kobie Mainoo or Garnacho, the majority need time...

    • @Napoleon2002
      @Napoleon2002 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@matthewbaker2573 I think he’s defending and positioning off the ball is middy and a loan would be the best move for him. Also the signing of Mazraoui would deffs stunt his growth so it’s best for him to go on a loan.
