This plugin is dangerous ... i find myself wanting to add it to everything cos it just makes it sound 'nicer'... Seriously its a magic wand... But use it wisely!
Ty Knight - Modern Composer agreed modern composer! Keep up the rail heads in the b- sides.. Freakazoids like me need em. Anyway how’s the wud wud billy slammer coming along? Slamming em? Absolutely
While "less is more" is a good general point, this all depends on the context in the mix, and the genre. If you're making really gritty punk music, maybe it needs a little umph. and honestly, i think he really only hit the gritty/nasty distortion point for like 20% of the video, he kept it pretty tasteful imo
They're both incredible, the vsm 3 is amazing on the mixbuss. I never mix a song without it being first on my mixbuss and I dont imagine ever changing that! The decapitator and basically all soundtoys plugins are amazing and I use them on 70 percent of all tracks in my mixes, nothing like em! Cheers-JJ
Depends entirely on your setup (this goes for any combination of DAW, plug-ins, configurations) but I've noticed users using the full 64 bit versions with Studio One 2 have had little to no issues to deal with
Good for adding the beef when you need it. Don't put this thing on your master buss though unless you're looking for that effect. The guitar demo was better than the drum demo.
I think people don't understand that unless it's for a special effect, you only use a LITTLE bit of this on tracks, then in the mix you can really hear a difference, not some over done stuff like these examples.
i down loaded this an opened it in fl 12 and it started giving me this piercing static sound it was working how i wanted it. why? can some please answer me, thanks
Wrong. The bit rate and compression changes with Video quality. If selling audio related products the provider should have a link to the Original (WAV etc) for best quality - otherwise you are just hearing YT's aggressive compression artifacts. From TH-cam FAQ's: 1080p 192 kbps AAC 720p 192 kbps AAC 480p 128 kbps AAC 360p 128 kbps AAC 240p 64 kbps MP3
Frank Schneider hi frank- the high selective amounts of drive lead to an analog proactive distortion reaction time of 3.4 ms per dogwave. That....sounds...... pretty good to my ear. Sorry if you don’t think so.
2:08 My music after Mastering:)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

One of the greatest VST's around

Great tutorial, thanks!
what do you guys think about this and Elysia Karacter ?
Thank you.Very informative.
Can I ask. How are you adding the Decapitator to the delay repeats only... separate wet track or bus? Thanks
delay on aux track
What Rhodes VST are you using?
love it on that delay send!
FabFilter Saturn 2 or this one ?
Hard decision 🤯
Saturn is more versatile and visual imo. Still Decap is a solid plugin tho.
Amazing and impressive

yeah, a little aggressive especially around 8:18 hehe
i always put decapitator on my drumbus
There comes a point where too much distortion just sounds shit! Less is more!

You make a good point on genre.
Agreed that less can be more, but I really like how he applied it here. For me it was absolutely not too much :-)
i think multiband dynamic is the key to avoid saturation especially in low
groove3 what you think is better vertigo vsm 3 or decap?

Does anybody know if this soundtoys plugins work well with PreSonus Stuio One Pro V.2.6?
Depends entirely on your setup (this goes for any combination of DAW, plug-ins, configurations) but I've noticed users using the full 64 bit versions with Studio One 2 have had little to no issues to deal with
Thanks.

i down loaded this an opened it in fl 12 and it started giving me this piercing static sound it was working how i wanted it. why? can some please answer me, thanks
Because it's probably torrented.
I pirate everything. Software, plugins, groove3 videos, you name it. Are you mad?)
@@YaGenezis That makes you a thief. Even worse it you are bragging about it online.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you upload at higher resolutions than 720P . . . we can actually here the subtle differences in tone
doesn't make a difference. only 240 and 144p sound worse now
