This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics book 5, and examines the sort of particular justice which he picks out as "justice in distribution," also called "commutative" or "distributive justice".

Doc, if this channel has demonstrated anything, it's clear that you are a very hard working man! I appreciate the effort.

One of the "particular" forms of justice -- a very important one -- discussed in Nicomachean Ethics book 5

Your videos and lectures are awesome! Helped me immensely when writing my legal traditions paper about the relationship between ethics and justice. Thank you so much!

As a mathematics student I must say I thoroughly enjoyed Aristotles use of (simple, yet effective) mathematics in this book. I thought his mathematical similes supplemented the concepts far better than the ones Plato uses in The Republic, for example (although the translation I read may be at fault and not Plato lol).
