They should’ve added a wardrobe in links house or mannequins like they have in the shop to hang your Armor and then a place to store food.. that would be sweet..

And as for the food, I've never reached the limit on it so I can't really complain about inventory space, that's why I consider it impractical to have a whole storage for 2 pieces of armor and dishes. The most food I've ever made is 1 and a half pages.

I'd like to point out that the Kite Shield is *not* the best shield for surfing. The Radiant Shield goes fastest, and the Ancient Shield takes the least damage. Both are better than the Kite Shield for surfing.

that would encourage stockpiling weapons which is very very much against the game's whole idea. It wants you to never be attatched to a weapon, constantly cycling through different ones you find. The weapon holders aren't intended for actual storage so much as just having a decoration in your house.
You can get the forest dweller's sword in the kokiri forest along with a forest dweller's shield and it's leaning on the deku tree and it respawns every blood moon
you can, you just have to agree to the quest where you are required to take them, and as long as you don't lose them during the quest you get to keep them.
there is a soup ladel inside the deku tree, a spear and shield leaning against a root outside. (warp to the shrine in the village and chek the other side of the root to your right (when facing away from the shrine, back to the entrance).
Aaaah man, I missed all the early and some of the middle Lynel weapons. I was so afraid of them that I avoided them early on untill I got Vah Ruta and Vah Rudania. It turns out once you memorize their move set, they're easy to defeat.
Master Mode fixes some of this with the chests on floating platforms and better geared enemies. Lynel spear is held by a Lizalfo in southern Akkala for example, and I think I've picked up a forest dweller sword from one of the floating platforms but like a lot of that is random.
I kept that Zora spear that old Zora guy lost in the lake. I forget it's exact name, but it is slightly different from it's regular counterpart. It's a tad stronger, and has some more ornate details. I hung it up in Link's house. I couldn't imagine that it would ever be available again. I could be wrong. I wish they'd give more spots in Link's house to collect these things. It get's to a point where you just have to let some of them go. Like the Forest Dwellers Sword. I could have sworn there were only like 3 in the game, but I know for a fact I've come across more than that. Just got one finishing up all my shrines the other night. It actually has an attack up modifier of +7. I don't really know what to do with it, I've run out of display room in Link's house, and I'm bound to come across, or need something better even with all my melee weapons slots. Nintendo should really look into rectify this in future games for people with OCD who have trouble getting rid of stuff, but eventually have to for practical reasons.

This would have been so easy to avoid. Just have a Kite Shield resting up against a wall in Rito Village and have the Lynel weapons either lying around in some random spots, maybe have something similar to the Coliseum Ruins. Or even just make them amiibo drops, having Young Link give the Kite Shield and Forest Dweller's Sword, and having Ganondorf give the Lynel weapons, or alternatively make a Lynel amiibo that could do the same. Simple.

Y’all are wrong, if you’re weapons are about to break, you can’t fix them, but the champion’s weapons, (Ravali’s bow, Mipha’s trident, Daruk’s smasher, and Urbosa’s sword) you can get them again by talking to the person who gave them to you, but in exchange, they’ll ask you for flint, a diamond, and a weapon (depending on which one you are trying to get)
I hate that weapon... Lol i always drop it... I use mostly guardian/ancient weapons with the fully upgraded ancient soldier set.... Which you can easily find a video on youtube by Kleric that shows you how to get infinite ancient parts.... Its fairly simple and only takes like 10 minutes to set it up

The red lynel tied to the quest drops a Lynel Bow and doesn’t get upgraded so lynel bows are always acquirable, the mighty bow can be found in one of the hyrule gatehouse, it just requires quick A button mashing and reloading a save to get them, all the savage weapons are always going to be available once you’ve levelled up the lynel gear because there is nothing to overthrow it
yep. i kept them safe in my inventory for the rare times i found myself within a thunderstorm surrounded by enemies. but then i got the thunder helmet and yeah.. this rendered non-metal equipment useless.
I know there's one in Hebra- it's at Tabantha Snowfield. There are two skulls on the western side of the field, and the top one (northern one) there is a chest partially buried in the snow that contains a kite shield.

You only get to keep it after the first run through the trials. Every trial attempt after the first one only let's you "rent" them. They are then taken away once you complete the trial.
I think I remember getting a kite shield from a stalizalfos on the road from hyrule plains to tabantha region between the rito stable and the talus on the road... but I could be crazy.
Note. (Happened to me) after you do the trial and don't put the new weapons away(unequip them) and you re-do the trial(I did it straight after). That little guy takes the sword or all equipped items away(the ones that he gave you. Also there is a shrine that you can get the sword(I think it's the sword, I can't remember) from.

One of the recent updates made the Forest Dweller's Sword available as a possible drop in certain shrine chests. One example: It is now a possible drop in one of the "random" weapon chests in the Keeha Yoog Shrine.
There are 6 forest dweller swords. The fifth is in the shrine where the balloon platform spawns over the little guardians and you ride wind up to the top. Tabantha region. There’s a chest up there. The sixth is in goron region. Other comments told about it
The kite shield has no special effects that make it the best shield surfing shield: it has no friction decrease, is is not tougher, it doesn’t take decreased damage from surfing. It’s just a myth so you can happily put it on your walls without thinking you’re giving up the best shield surf

I know this is way old, but I just wanted to point out, for posterity, that there is a fifth Forest Dweller's Sword you can get. It's in a Shrine. I don't remember which one. I just remember you have to constantly light braziers to progress. The chest with the Forest Dweller's Sword is on the upper level, off the path, on a standalone ledge against a wall. I only found it because I was trying to find something I could use as a torch to light the brazier up there, lol.

Damn... my game progress doesn't allow me anymore to see red Lynels in the locations where Lynel Spears and Lynel Crushers could be dropped. There's only the one above the Zora Domain left and the one in the Coliseum is still red for some reason. Almost all the others have turned white now. And the peculiar thing is: There are no silver Lynels yet... My progress: I've freed 1 Divine Beast, I boarded 2 others (so I can warp there) but haven't stepped inside + I did the prerequirements for the 4th beast. I have the impression the game does register that as if I had done 3 beasts, I don't know. Probably every little part of a main quest that you do counts for this . Kinda bs because all those red Lynels can be found in spots where you don't usually get very early on. So now I apparently do have to buy photos for these -.-
i had a similar problem, i think i've only seen one blue lynel and that was the spear one in akkala. and i had only fought red lynels with the sword. and i only found out they had other weapons after i fought the white mane ones in hebra (undderleveled mind you)
By the time I reached Akkala they were already blue-maned 🙄 And I progressed veeeery slowly in the main quests... I will definitely check the Lynel evolution depending on quests on another save file some day.
by the time i got there the Colosseum one and one by the lanaryu gate were white, and once i killed the blue one i came back later and it was white. now all of them are silver except the zora one

There’s one more weapon which doesn’t respawn. The game doesn’t exactly give you a choice whether to keep it or not; once you pick it up, you’ll never be able to lose it again. It’s found right in the middle of Korok forest, in front of the Deku tree
I have one with 100 damage. Of course with attack up because the the actuall damage withought any boosts is about 87?... based on what I have seen through the game... Havent compared it to other players (I already defeated ganon and got all divine beasts)
I'm pretty sure all of them respawn tho. The Kite Shield I think you can get multiple times from the shield surfing lady, the Korok Sword can be stolen from the trial, and Lynels respawn after every blood moon. I don't actually know if the red Lynels still carry those base level weapons after completing the Divine Beasts though. If not you can always *SPOILER ALERT* buy the pictures from the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. That way your compendium will never be missing a few slots.
you forgot that most people playing this game dont ever read anything ingame and many of them might not even know that this is possible. and they'll never know until they google. god damnit i have even seen people on forums being surprised to be able to ride or at least register horses after playing the game for 50 fucking hours.
Lmao 50 hours in and never rode a horse that's pretty sad. Not only is it in like all of the trailers but its on the amiibo and one of the main quests sends you right past Dueling Peaks Stable which gives you a quest to catch a horse. And on top of that why would there be stables if you couldn't get a horse? I think I got a horse in my first 10 hours of playing.
The first place I went after the plateau was off into the Wasteland and then I went over by Lake Hylia and got horses. My wife is 3 Divine beasts into the storyline and me, I'm just running all over the place buying up all the Armour and upgrading it. I refuse to advance the story except when absoloutly nessessary the rest of it is all just killing and collecting. Once I get my armour all maxed out and my house all maxed out and Terry Town all maxed out and Most of my compendium filled up then I will go and defeat the beasts.

Y’all are wrong, if you’re weapons are about to break, you can’t fix them, but the champion’s weapons, (Ravali’s bow, Mipha’s trident, Daruk’s smasher, and Urbosa’s sword) you can get them again by talking to the person who gave them to you, but in exchange, they’ll ask you for flint, a diamond, and a weapon (depending on which one you are trying to get)

I hate that weapon... Lol i always drop it... I use mostly guardian/ancient weapons with the fully upgraded ancient soldier set.... Which you can easily find a video on youtube by Kleric that shows you how to get infinite ancient parts.... Its fairly simple and only takes like 10 minutes to set it up

I found out that those are rare and hard to find and I had one and threw it out for the sake of multipying the royal sword by making a trap wait till day and all that so Yeah
The red lynel tied to the quest drops a Lynel Bow and doesn’t get upgraded so lynel bows are always acquirable, the mighty bow can be found in one of the hyrule gatehouse, it just requires quick A button mashing and reloading a save to get them, all the savage weapons are always going to be available once you’ve levelled up the lynel gear because there is nothing to overthrow it

yep. i kept them safe in my inventory for the rare times i found myself within a thunderstorm surrounded by enemies. but then i got the thunder helmet and yeah.. this rendered non-metal equipment useless.

I know there's one in Hebra- it's at Tabantha Snowfield. There are two skulls on the western side of the field, and the top one (northern one) there is a chest partially buried in the snow that contains a kite shield.

You only get to keep it after the first run through the trials. Every trial attempt after the first one only let's you "rent" them. They are then taken away once you complete the trial.

Note. (Happened to me) after you do the trial and don't put the new weapons away(unequip them) and you re-do the trial(I did it straight after). That little guy takes the sword or all equipped items away(the ones that he gave you. Also there is a shrine that you can get the sword(I think it's the sword, I can't remember) from.

One of the recent updates made the Forest Dweller's Sword available as a possible drop in certain shrine chests. One example: It is now a possible drop in one of the "random" weapon chests in the Keeha Yoog Shrine.

There are 6 forest dweller swords. The fifth is in the shrine where the balloon platform spawns over the little guardians and you ride wind up to the top. Tabantha region. There’s a chest up there.
The sixth is in goron region. Other comments told about it

The kite shield has no special effects that make it the best shield surfing shield: it has no friction decrease, is is not tougher, it doesn’t take decreased damage from surfing.
It’s just a myth so you can happily put it on your walls without thinking you’re giving up the best shield surf

Soul Sawada Yes, unfortunately, it is that way. You only find it as rewards or in treasure chests, both which are unable to be respawned in the game.

I once found the Forest Dweller's Sword in a shrine but i only remember that it had to do with a blue flame, torch and updrafts.
I know this is way old, but I just wanted to point out, for posterity, that there is a fifth Forest Dweller's Sword you can get. It's in a Shrine. I don't remember which one. I just remember you have to constantly light braziers to progress. The chest with the Forest Dweller's Sword is on the upper level, off the path, on a standalone ledge against a wall. I only found it because I was trying to find something I could use as a torch to light the brazier up there, lol.

EK gameplay my game gives me silver lynels all day except the red one near Zora's Domain on the mountain and a white one on the first gatehouse on Gannon's castle
EDIT: The white one is white because I already cleared the game and it doesn't change for me
there are 2 gatehouses in hyrule castle. one always has a blue-bodied, one has a white-bodied, neither have ever droped weapons i could collect.

I do appreciate you trying to give the information, but i question how likely others are to find it both with how old this video is, and how far down this comment chain has likely gone.
Damn... my game progress doesn't allow me anymore to see red Lynels in the locations where Lynel Spears and Lynel Crushers could be dropped. There's only the one above the Zora Domain left and the one in the Coliseum is still red for some reason. Almost all the others have turned white now. And the peculiar thing is: There are no silver Lynels yet...
My progress: I've freed 1 Divine Beast, I boarded 2 others (so I can warp there) but haven't stepped inside + I did the prerequirements for the 4th beast. I have the impression the game does register that as if I had done 3 beasts, I don't know. Probably every little part of a main quest that you do counts for this . Kinda bs because all those red Lynels can be found in spots where you don't usually get very early on. So now I apparently do have to buy photos for these -.-
i had a similar problem, i think i've only seen one blue lynel and that was the spear one in akkala. and i had only fought red lynels with the sword. and i only found out they had other weapons after i fought the white mane ones in hebra (undderleveled mind you)
By the time I reached Akkala they were already blue-maned 🙄 And I progressed veeeery slowly in the main quests... I will definitely check the Lynel evolution depending on quests on another save file some day.
by the time i got there the Colosseum one and one by the lanaryu gate were white, and once i killed the blue one i came back later and it was white. now all of them are silver except the zora one

However it ALWAYS has the sword, shield and bow. It will never have a spear or Crusher.
There’s one more weapon which doesn’t respawn. The game doesn’t exactly give you a choice whether to keep it or not; once you pick it up, you’ll never be able to lose it again. It’s found right in the middle of Korok forest, in front of the Deku tree

I just got a Lynel sword with a 99 damage! I'm totally keeping that.
I have one with 100 damage. Of course with attack up because the the actuall damage withought any boosts is about 87?... based on what I have seen through the game...

I'm pretty sure all of them respawn tho. The Kite Shield I think you can get multiple times from the shield surfing lady, the Korok Sword can be stolen from the trial, and Lynels respawn after every blood moon. I don't actually know if the red Lynels still carry those base level weapons after completing the Divine Beasts though. If not you can always *SPOILER ALERT* buy the pictures from the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. That way your compendium will never be missing a few slots.
you forgot that most people playing this game dont ever read anything ingame and many of them might not even know that this is possible. and they'll never know until they google. god damnit i have even seen people on forums being surprised to be able to ride or at least register horses after playing the game for 50 fucking hours.
Lmao 50 hours in and never rode a horse that's pretty sad. Not only is it in like all of the trailers but its on the amiibo and one of the main quests sends you right past Dueling Peaks Stable which gives you a quest to catch a horse. And on top of that why would there be stables if you couldn't get a horse? I think I got a horse in my first 10 hours of playing.
The first place I went after the plateau was off into the Wasteland and then I went over by Lake Hylia and got horses. My wife is 3 Divine beasts into the storyline and me, I'm just running all over the place buying up all the Armour and upgrading it. I refuse to advance the story except when absoloutly nessessary the rest of it is all just killing and collecting. Once I get my armour all maxed out and my house all maxed out and Terry Town all maxed out and Most of my compendium filled up then I will go and defeat the beasts.
