- When you fight a truly strong opponent, there's nothing but mutual respect and some witty banter. After seeing the strength frieza posesses, cell decides to join forces with frieza so they can find out what has happened to their powers, and the spirits.

Personally I think making the Androids 17 and 18 good, was enough. Maybe cell can come back for a few episodes or something but I don't see him working for good. Unless there's some huge enemy and The good guys need an extra pair of hands (like how they did with Freiza)

He's got more saiyan than frieza in him. Even more human as well. Not including piccolos DNA in him too. He is 2/11 of friezas race.
Yeah but Dr. Gero computer determined what dna would be more dominant so it doesn’t matter how many cells he has from other races. By his look and ability to transform he clearly has more of Frieza and his father’s DNA. He definitely looks like a great value version of Frieza’s race.
He did learn to sense God Ki in the TOP arc.

You know the script writers had the perfect opportunity to have Cell confess about his origins to Frieza. Can you even the imagine audacity of revealing such knowledge? It could send Frieza and Nappa or a superiority conundrum given how this fighter is made up of the DNA of themselves. But alas, Bandai always misses out on the really good sorts...now if FUNimation tweaked the script into their favor... then maybe.

I don’t know if it is intentional or not but the writing seems to keep it unclear wether Frieza and Cell have met before. DBZ and its filler made them partners in crime, with Kai still briefly showing them side by side during the Buu Saga while the manga and Super probably go with the idea that they never met in Hell.
For the record, I like the idea of these two beings somehow getting along, at least enough to work alongside one another, even after decades in the GT timeline.
