    Not everyone can get - such as say a Picotin 18 in the most desirable color hardware combination from the store even if they paid more than it's retail price ( after bought a bunch of useless stuff in the store to "build the relationship") size 22 (and larger) is not as desirable, so you may not need to pay extra to get it brand new for the retail price or even several hundreds less for the bags are not in desirable colors. If an item sells more on the second hand market that proves it is worth for over paying retail.
    Buying luxury items are like in the stock market, you buy good stock instead of buying stocks don't hold their value, pay more to get the desirable items you will get most of your money back or even make profit, at the least you are able to resell them fast when you want to sell.

      Yes this is true! Not everyone can get the items the want in store. I have been very lucky and the first thing I got from Hermes was the bag I was looking for. I think it also depends on do you want more things from that brand (then they aren’t useless- for example I love Hermes RTW and shoes) and/or do you want other items in the future. If you are only looking to ever get one piece from the brand it can definitely make sense to go the reseller route and just pay over for what you really want. But if you want more pieces then building a relationship might be worth it! Thanks for watching 😊

    Hermes resale charge up is insane! But I totally agree! Those three big brands often either have insane charge ups for hard to find pieces. Though you can still find some pieces below retail.

      Yes I agree the Hermes up charge is insane! And I also agree you can still find pieces for all these brands below retail they just aren’t normally the popular or classic ones! Thanks for watching 😊

    I couldn't agree more with you 💯 Pre-loved or reseller especially pricing is just insane! 💕

      It’s a bummer because getting these retail is not easy either 😭

    I totally agree with you, Hermes bag has to buy from retail. They are a lot more cheaper than reseller or preloved market ❤️

      Yes! It’s amazing to see the retail prices versus the preloved/ reseller market prices! Yesterday I saw a Birkin on fashionphile (gold with silver hardware and Togo leather nothing crazy) for $25k 🤣

    That caramel mini is insane on the preloved market! Great callouts on Hermes and Chanel. I love your point on LV and 24s 😘

    I totally agree with you, Sam. Hermes especially, in store purchase is a lot better than preloved.

      Yes! There are still some preloved dead but not on the popular Hermes pieces! Thank you for watching 😊

    Hi Sam, I would add Goyard to this list. Never seen the brand at good resell prices, always above or at retail. It doesn’t help that the Goyard website doesn’t list prices. So unless you know the retail prices, you end up paying more for a bag, in used condition.

      That’s a good point! I was lucky I got my St. Louis tote for way under retail but that was I think just purely someone priced it wrong. And I wish their website listed prices! Thanks for the suggestion 😊

    I bought the Pochette Métis for $45 above retail, but that was before FASHIONPHILE charged tax and I was tired of waiting for it. I now make a list of Retail versus Preloved and was lucky on my Chanel’s was offered coupons in addition don’t have a Chanel in my area Thanks

      @bargain.hunting.blonde  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I think there are definitely still deals out there just much harder to find! Plus $45 over retail isn’t bad. My problem is when they double or triple retail and your just like whhhaaattt?

    Personally, I never pay over retail. Indeed, I will not even pay close to retail! For me, pre-loved = second hand = bargain and if it is not significantly less expensive than boutique I go without or find a substitute!
    Thank you for the video!
