I’m so blessed today as i came across this video
Am having goosebumps as I type this
Have been away from Nigeria since 2020 and right now am 27 years, my mummy and my daddy’s family has being pressuring me to come home and get married, this pressure made me go into relationships with a guy i asked out myself because before the pressure i don’t give any man a chance so they all moved on because I always turn them down
In this my long distance relationships, I’m not happy because the guy treats me anyhow and I’m enduring because I really want to get married to please my mom and my daddy’s family
Now after watching this, my mindset change immediately, I was tearing up and speaking positive words into my life
I will wait, find myself, establish myself, get my goals then i will decide when it comfortable for me to get marry
NO MORE PRESSURE ✊

This is a topic I am very interested in.
I had written a poem on the subject and I hope it'll be okay for me to share.
I just hope more women find you.
A LOVE UNBOUND
In the garden where dreams and destinies grow,
Where petals of purpose and passions do show,
I wander with heart open, no rush in my stride,
For love is a river, not a tethered tide.
Society whispers, “Hurry, don’t delay,
For youth slips like sand, and chances decay.”
But I, with a soul that savors the sun,
Will not race to an altar, not to be a nun.
For I am complete, a universe vast,
My spirit unbounded, my journey steadfast.
Marriage, a chapter, not the whole tome,
Love, a melody in my heart’s vibrant home.
Should I find a partner, our paths intertwined,
It’ll be for love’s sake, not from fear’s bind.
A union of equals, not a cage or a snare,
Two stars in one sky, both brilliant and rare.
But if in this lifetime, alone I remain,
I’ll dance with the moon, and kiss the rain.
My happiness rooted in self’s deep embrace,
No void, no lack, no empty space.
For love’s true essence, it starts within,
A flame in the heart, not just a skin.
To love and be loved, yes, this I desire,
But my life’s purpose burns with its own fire.
So let the world murmur, let it proclaim,
That time’s running out, that success is a shame.
I’ll write my own story, in verses and hues,
Living a love that I’ll never refuse.
A love for myself, for the journey I take,
A love that won’t falter, that won’t ever break.
And if fate gifts me a partner, to share in the night,
It’ll be a blessing, a beautiful sight.
But know this, dear world, my joy will not dim,
If I never find him, I’ll still shine within.

Hmm... I must commend you ladies for the job well done. If you open the minds of over 98% of the ladies in the world, the dominating thought is 'Marriage, Marriage, Marriage.' They never ask themselves if I get married today, what is next? Having spent their useful and youthful years looking for what is not lost. If marriage cannot add anything to you or take you higher in your journey, it is better to still be single. Married People should be help meet. I will alright three things that stood out for me.
1. Date yourself: I must learn to date myself, take me out and treat myself.
2. Invest into myself for my self: this is because I am the most constant person in my life.
3. I must discover my self for myself: I must take my time to discover purpose for life, I have a lot more to offer to the world if I discover me.

Never seen a statement so true. This is what people don't understand; one needs to know that you don't need someone or something to complete you. Find that 'completeness' within you, then look for or keep an eye out for who complements you.
Whatever void they may feel is as a result of lack of purpose discovery and not having the one who created you as your guide/stronghold in life.
I rest my case.
I always say that life is a journey with different phases, and we'll most likely go through some or all of it. Your single phase is that time that truly reforms or forms you, shape you, you discover alot about yourself, you pay more attention if you're intentional about your life, my single phase is one of my most cherished moments, I enjoyed it I must say. I'm in my 30's not married and not bothered because my life is a journey filled with purpose, so grow, learn, invest in yourself and glow, stay away from any form of pressure, seek clarity and direction. Ladies, you're daughters of The Most High God, Jehovah. Keep yourselves completely clean. Make it a case of 'no ringy, no thingy'. Men must pour. Some men are of the devil, and they are sent to mess you up and dirty you. Men must pour, and they will do anything to get this going, including lies, pretence, and deceit. I'm more advanced than you ladies in age, and I've gone through my own states of brokenness. For some years now, I have set myself apart and keep myself clean, and I have true joy. I always approach the throne of grace with complete joy and confidence each time I have to pray. I find men sickening and disgusting now, and of course, I don't use toys nor get involve with other women. I'm just whole, and I intend to keep it so till I meet The Lord Jesus. I have been married for 9 years, I have 2 kids, I have a doctorate degree, building a strong career and spiritual life. I don’t wait for my husband to make me happy. I make myself happy and pursue fulfillment.
The truth is that you will be very disappointed if you leave your happiness and fulfillment in the hands of another human being, a man.

Please, add the point that some people tell unmarried ladies above their 30s that if they don't get married early, they may not be able to put to birth or complications may occur and sometimes that adds to the pressure...whats your take on this please?
I have seen women in their mid 40’s give birth with ease and I have also seen women who married early for the purpose of giving birth early not have any kids or have major complications during birth.
At the end of the day, every womans body is different.
Do your research on fertility and then take care of your body by eating right and exercising.

Not just your body, even when you’re in a country that has a good RETIREMENT system the Leave you take to care for your FEMALE BODY (Menstrual/ovulation pain, Antenatal and postnatal care, child,family and home care) those WORK LEAVE bits hard on a woman’s Retirement fund ability. MAKE YOUR TIME, ENERGY, FINANCES AND HEALTH worthwhile. Children this days have started borrowing some brains that they are not their parents RETIREMENT PLAN.

Yes singleness means you are not married….. either you are single without a boyfriend/ relationship or you are in a relationship which makes you single because you are not married yet….
