Great video, a big help! Way more detail than some of the others I looked at. Nice to see a "real" person do it and get real life comments. (cant see some of the replies below, is that because its an older video?) Thanks for taking time to do this!

Maybe I missed something.....but .....you do not have to remove the starter right? I don't have this problem....yet....I just like learning about my new (money pit) toy....2018 RZR Turbo XP. Only problem I've had so far is Zero factory grease in all 8 front end A-arm bushings (now it's like butter on the whoops) and the brake "pressure switch" needs replaced (intermittent no-start). 69 hrs and 1,100 mi. Saw a couple drips today from the right, front differential axle seal...Guess I'll be ordering a $165.00 rebuild kit soon. (sigh)
The one way clutch/ sprang bearing , is a bearing that rides on “sprocket” “gear” journal. It’s kinda of pair STARTER HUB SPRAG CLUTCH ASSEMB 1205021 MSRP: $211.99 CRANK STARTER GEAR ASSEMBLY 1204415 MSRP: $179.99 Hope this helps !
@@9iron642 very much, thanks! I was thinking that was the case, but not 100% sure. I've been comparing Polaris and the Amazon offerings and the prices are a good bit different. But considering the Polaris dealer estimated $600, for only the sprag, gasket, oil change, and labor I'm definitely going to do it myself. Thanks for your help! (Mines a '17 Range 1000XP, but so far it all looks the same)
Danielle K it was a gradual thing started out just every now and then then it took two times to turn the key to get it start 3, 4 5 then finally it would take you like five minutes to get it started
Jorge Rodriguez what do you mean won’t turn ?? Is the starter engaging? Is the starter turning over . Did you just replace the sprage clutch . Maybe the mating gear needs to be replaced also
9/Iron when we got the sprag clutch we replaced it and everything but somehow when we tried to turn it on the o-ring that was holding the little pieces broke. I guess amazon is a bad place for RZR parts lol
Great video bud thanks for posting. I’m in the middle of the same thing. The starting sound at the beginning is a great addition
Way big help! You rock wild man... Great One-liners to. Lmao

Did you use an impact to remove the nut? A socket and breaker bar just turns the flywheel.
@@charlesramos6312 yes, I did use an impact wrench to break it loose
@@petenelson7291 thank you! 🤙🏼
Was wondering if yours kicked back like its hydro locked? Thats what my rzr 1000 is doing. Thanks
Yeah sometimes it would do that kickback thing. Like when you kick start a dirt bike and it about bucks you of the the bike .
Hey bud love the video. Im actually watching as im working on mine now. But one question how do you get the starter off once you unbolt it?
Justin Anderson it’s a B wiggle wiggle cus and swear wiggle throw something, repeat as many times as necessary until starter comes out.
9/Iron.. do you happen to have a part number for the flywheel puller? Thanks......
Sorry I just saw your comment.

Money pit it’s right ! But so are women! Lol. It’s all wroth it . No you don’t have to remove the starter. To replace the Sprague clutch
Why did you change out the gear if it was the one-way clutch that was bad? Do you happen to have the PN for that gear? Thanks!

Replacing parts myself. Trying to loosen the flywheel nut, engine turns, recommendations? Should i use an impact to remove nut?
I would tickle it was an impact.
Did yours kill your motor when the bearing went out or just no restart ? Thanks.

@@9iron642 ok thanks for the info
I change that on mine and now it won't start it cranks but start
why you don’t just replace the bearing and less by the whole thing? The bearing cost $19 and the whole thing cost $200 in Amazon
Is it normal for there to be a little oil in the stator cover?
I just put a brand new crate motor in with a brand new stator cover gasket hit the key and it does this same bull shit lmao fml
That’s like a kick to the balls . My stomach dropped reading your comment.
I replaced the spray clutch and and everything else is in good shape. I put everything in the right place and it still won’t turn
