Awesome man. I love these trail riding videos. You what I've been doing lately as a drill to get better at controlling the ruts? I put my front tire on one side of the rut and my rear on the opposite side so the bike straddles it. Then I turn the front in line with rut and give it throttle. The whole bike cat walks it and you get a feel for the way it slips around. It's been helpful and saved me a few times just knowing how to predict that behavior.
Hey Swanky Cat, Just came off our toughest trail around here. Hurricane Creek. Clipped a rock with front fork and sheared the nylon bolt holding fork cover on. Probably saved my fork tube. Trying to get threaded part out of cast tube now. Great 20 cent mod. Got a pic if interested.
Lol. I’ll have to show you our videos from Black dragon wash on the TAT outside Green River Utah. That area where you walked your bike off that rock we had 15 miles of that constantly every 100 yards or less. It was 99 deg no shade no wind. It was some of the most brutal riding we’ve done so far on the TAT.
Well done! That looked pretty rough. Do you have a video where you cover the motoz tires? The front looks like it would be a little sketchy for pushing hard on pavement edit: actually you know what it doesn't look nearly as bad on your bike as it does in the picture online. Will definitely consider these when I burn through my scorps
I don't have a video on them yet but I will eventually. To sum things up, I love them. One of the best off road tires I've been on with very little loss in on road performance. The bike gets a little squirrelly at 80 but they feel good otherwise.
The KLX 300 I had would have been just about the biggest bike I would have been able to handle on this trail. By the way, was that a hearty marine corps "oohrah!" your dad shouted going down that big rock? 😆👍
I don't think I would care to do that on a KLR650 either. A DR650 might be ok. But that is about as heavy as I would want to go. My smaller KLR 250 would do ok. DR350 would be fun.
Damn, we used to ride pure off road bikes way back when and this looks as bad r worse than we rode. On a "street bike". Kudos Swank. I missed where you said you were?
@@SwankyCatProductions I've got one of those, that I'm thinking of selling to my buddy once my T7 arrives in a week or so. I've also got an XT250 that I bought for the wife, so I can take that on the smaller trails if the Tenere proves to be a bit much for me at first. All great bikes though. The Super Sherpa and XT250 have both really surprised me with where they'll go, with just some Kenda K270's on 'em
bruuuah squiding it up lol. T700 very capable in that stuff. You're just too hesitant. Keep momentum and GO! BRAAAAP
Haha yeah it was waaay to hot even for my mesh coat.
Videos never do it justice.
That’s why I want a small dual sport can’t do that stuff on my Africa twin
Yeah it's fun to try it but it's more enjoyable on a small bike. I miss mine.
I just sold my AT and got the CRF300L. It’s so much better on trails.
@@beachamboy11 that’s what I want, can’t find one
@@badbruise I got lucky

was just riding those trails on a drz400 thinking it was abit heavy for that stuff😂
Ha ha I took my new TW200 through them and still didn't make it to the end!

Ouch! Glad you had the nylon one in there! Yeah sure, send it to swankycatproductions@outlook.com
You will be surprised where that Tenere will go. This TAT trip has sold me on it.
Yeah man tenere is a beast. ever seen what pol tarres does on them or that boano guy? fuck me youd think it was an enduro
Light is right on the trail! Does show what the T7 can handle.
You need a Camel ADV one Finder Clutch lever...Makes all the difference.
They do indeed. I could not power my stock set up with 2 fingers
I was on the 250 and it was still rough, being a new trail I'm sure they will work on it. Their other single track is magnificent

Still looks like you enjoyed it and did well! Makes me want a smaller machine for the BDR routes!
Your not Megs Braap, but you sure did good! She rode with Everide, maybe she'll ride with ya'll one day.
Haha thanks Mike!!!
@@SwankyCatProductions "You're", not "Your". Dang, and all that money I spent on grammar books.
Is that Tigerton? I rode that 3 times in a row and I was shot. Did it on a Crf250f. Nice small bike lol. I posted vids

Could have been worse. You could have had a Honda Cub. ;)

Thanks Ed! This is the Embarrass River OHV Park in Tigerton WI.
What is your buddy riding? It looks like a sherpa?
Yep it's an early 2000s Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250!
