Cool, we had sections of the TAT like that that would last for 30-40 miles at a stretch. Some of the passes in Colorado were like that just much steeper. Hey I meant to tell you about the T700s operating temp out on the trail. If I remember when you first got yours you questioned the temperature operating range. We gave it a good workout. We got stuck in a major traffic jam in Idaho. The temps that day hit 113 deg on the highway we were stuck on for a few hours. At a stand still my nephews bike would run about 8-10 deg hotter than my f 800. When we got moving his would run about 3-4 degrees cooler than mine. This was true the entire trip wether we were in 40 degree outside temps or 113. Was consistent and never once did either bike ever over heat. Even when we were pushing them hard in the Utah desert.
@@SwankyCatProductions That’s where his ran right around 210-221 while working hard. Funny thing wether 107 out or 48 when working hard temp wasn’t that much different
That's an awesome area! I'm a sport touring rider and getting ready to add a KLR. Didn't realize you were in the same area, so it's cool to see some options local!
That's an awesome little spot man. We have a great little "playground" spot outside of Charlottetown here that runs right along side the highway. It's funny, you'll be driving your car and you'll see dirt bikes getting a bit of air on some of the jumpier spots. Great to see you guys getting out having a time.
That's awesome! There's a spot like that a little north of me along the highway but I don't think your really supposed to be in it, you always see tracks on the hills but I've never been brave enough.
Hey Swankycat! Oh, man, now I feel your pain. Broke, shattered and dislocated bones in my left foot while riding my new crf300l. I'll leave the big wheelies to Graham Jarvis fom now on. I was wearing Sidi Adventure 2 boots, but my foot got crushed sideways. Have you looked into a superior boot? Enjoy the rest of the season.
Oh man that's awful, I'm sorry to hear that. I would think those would be pretty good. My Forma boots helped me but still could have done better. Maybe a full MX boot is the only way to get top notch protection?
@@SwankyCatProductions thanks for the reply. I'm going to look into the Tech 7 in the spring. Also, Ian at Big Rock Moto did a ADV comparison picking Up various bikes in his driveway recently. The T7 was the hardest to upright because it carries the weight high. The 1250 GS is heavier, but easier to pickup. Thought it was interesting as a potential T7 buyer. Maybe I can invent some kind of lever/clamp to help my 150lbs 5foot8 frame pick it up? Cheers.
rebuilding a 2 stroke is easy..cmon it'd be a good learning experience for you and make some cool videos. :) I have a couple short sand pit hill climb videos from the KLR yesterday i am going to throw up on youtube here in a bit.

What temp is that? Mine would run around 220 while working hard on slow trails. Now with the ECU flash it hardly gets over 200.

What about the sound of the tiger? That was such a fun day
It really was. I think about that trail and day a lot.

Shaft drive for me thank you.
Haha that does make things a little easier.
Where did ya get the tshirt
I had them on T-spring a few years ago.
Where'd you get that t-shirt?
I made them a while back. I think I took them off T-spring now though.
