- Mark Minervini won the US Investing Championship for a second time. He used the same trading strategy as he used when he won in 1997.
The trading concept has been widely used by many of the best traders in the world, its foundation is based on consolidation followed by a breakout.
In this video we look at the theory and application. It's a similar trading strategy to mine and one in which I too will use in the 2023 US Trading Championships.

You’re right! The current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner.

Hi I read Mark Minervini book,I have some selling question
The following selling rules all need to calculate days, but how to calculate them?
1.70% up days over a 7 to 15 day period
2.AFTER extended move stock moves up 25-50% in 1-3 weeks (12 of 15 days up over 3 weeks)
3.6-10 days of accelerated advance with all but 2 or 3 days up
I came here to learn how to trade after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k. Somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.

@@donaldmiller8338 I am being guided by "CLAUDIA TRINIDAD RIVAS" who I found on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision.
@@richardluke Claudia really seem to know her stuff. I found her online-page, read through her resume, educational background, qualifications and it was really impressive. She is a fiduciary who will act in my best interest. So, I booked a session with her.
Good stuff. I really am begining to feel like risk management and mindset are the only important things in trading. Techincal analysis helps to give an edge, but if you let your winners run and cut your loosers short, you really don't need to win that often. I used to have a ton of idicators on my chart, and use them as a filter for setups. But now I feel like I can get rid of everything except for moving averages and one momentum indicator - probably MACD or RSI. All those other indicators were just telling me what price was doing, when I could really just see it on the chart. Trading is certainly a journey, and you have to be willing to let your beliefs die along the way.

It took a LOT of guts for Mark Minervini to literally put his money where his mouth is and I greatly admired what he did because people would have been all over him if he had failed....but he even took the VERY top place and rubbed it in!!

Bitcoin investment (fx) can be profitable and lucrative when it is approached as a business, but achieving a level of success is extremely difficult and can take a long time. It's a good idea to fine an expert of this form of investment prior to getting started with. As you can see, the market is open and operates 24 hours a day and almost seven days a week
Nothing beats engaging an expert in any trade, selfishness and greed has deterred many from doing this and they ended up running a huge loss
All of the examples were illustrated to indicate behavior during an uptrend. Is the same analysis technique used to go short in a downtrend? Or does the trader sit the downtrends out?
would be dependent on market environment. now would be fine, but there are also other things you need to consider when going short (divvy risk, borrow rates, locate fee, etc.)
bear market rallies are also alot more "violent" than your normal uptrend, low vol environment we experienced 2020-21 so you must exercise even more caution.
You make a great point - this is definitely a bull bull market strategy IMO.

Trading over several years I just found my setup what works for me... Just to recognize it is similar to this from the old wise traders. Obviously there are coming several concepts together. Everybody sees the same just from another perspective.
Awesome strategy, I created a similar strategy after 8 years of studying in Forex market. Now, I will be more confident after seeing so many successful traders using similar strategy.

Reward is based on your past performance or back test, its an assumption/guide
Great explanation with good historical refs. I trade similarly, on the intraday basis though. Still a work in progress. The hard part is to distinguish a real break-out from an up Wyckoff spring followed by a strong downward move. Have you got any insight on that?

Do not enter on Breakout, wait for pullback and then enter on a large bullish candle

Find book, open book, read book. Rinse and repeat until you can answer your own questions

contraction phase aka squeeze... what do you use to help determine which way it will inevitably fire? We've all seen these patterns and many times the higher lows, low volume etc where the price DROPS instead of going up when it reaches the "corner" of the flag pattern

what i keep asking myself is how these guys like mark, besides having more cagr than anyone for so long has a net worth (apparently) below 100m usd, I mean, even if you buy good stocks monthly for 40-50 years and never sell you'd have more money than this with 15% cagr.

Your approach does seem to have a vague theoretical standing, I would be interested in dissecting your strategy with theoretical evidence backing up statistically significant returns. what do you mean by "phd in order flow imbalances"?
I recently started my thesis on modeling order flow imbalance and it's effects on trading desicions and signals. At the moment I don't have a good direction to pivot my research but this video gave me a good insight about widely accepted behavioral patterns by pros.

These are the best setup for any breakouts to trade.. consolidation or build up gives an edge to trade breakouts specifically box consolidation provides you a high probability trade.

great video, the only caveat to this IMHO is that this strategy will normally work great in a bull market but in the choppy sideways market we are currently experiencing I don't put a lot of faith in finding breakouts, there just aren't many stocks breaking out and when one starts a breakout all too often, the whales step in to sell it off. That's why I mostly using credit spreads (bull put, bear call, Iron condor etc.)

in choppy sideways markets like we're in now. The traders mentioned in this video normally just stay in cash. You don't always have to be invested. They try to make the quickest amount of returns with the least exposure because not every strategy will work all the time.

This seems like something you can test scintillating. Like all the things described could probably be found algorithmicly and then we can test if they happen more than chance.

You want people to follow and buy into your program on your website yet the website is not working to register and you do not reply email. So whats the point of doing all the work on producing videos and asking people to sign up and subscribe ?
