Cool seeing other lighting setups! I might have mentioned this already, but I also decided to pimp my trunk-I used some spare LED strips and powered them by tapping into the wires for the stock trunk light. (I have a video of the finished result, on my channel.) It's useful to use those wires because it allows the LEDs to shut off when the trunk is closed.

      Nice use of timestamp chapters.
I don't remember seeing those the first time around.

Like I said, it's the clapper!
But really it's just a cut immediately after the clap so it looks like its going from day to night, then I just recorded a second clip later in the evening.

You could have used an LED strip instead. Could have divided it in as many segments as you would have liked, and truly lit every single corner of that trunk, instead of flooding two small areas like you did, with everything else left as dark as it ever was. Sure, it’s more light now than you had with the single incandescent factory bulb, but it’s still insufficiently lit. A well divided and well placed and installed LED strip would have done wonders!; and if you wanted, it could have even been a color one, and lit up the trunk any color any time you wanted.

I find it lights up the trunk really well. While the light is concentrated on the sides, it is also well lit in the centre. I could have done what you suggested but it likely would have costed more, and I wouldn't have had the switched to turn off each bank like these do.
