    Duane was in the process of changing the vocabulary of the electric guitar, both slide and fretted. One can only imagine the musical innovations he would've made. RIP to both Duane and Berry.

      Bro, you’re totally correct. He started bouncing the notes a lot like as if the guitar was percussion in the rhythm.

    I'm surprised there aren't roadside memorials at those places, even a cross or something like you see on roads and highways which are always very sad and fascinating to see. It always makes me wonder who these people were, and what happened to them.

      Agree. Not sure why they never put memorials up at the sites.

    Wrong info here - the truck was not stopped it was making a legal left turn. Allman was airborne on the bike coming off the top of the hill. Theres no possible way he either slowed down or veered.

    Sounds like Oakley died of internal bleeding. I knew a guy some years back who was in a simple car accident -- he got out of the car, said he felt fine and saw no reason to be checked out at the hospital just to be sure. He died in his sleep that night from internal bleeding.

    • @McAndrewTravels
      @McAndrewTravels  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Heard a similar story where someone seemed fine and refused hospital...then died shortly after. Internal injuries are scary.

      Reason I ask is I was at the Elvis concert few days later in California when the Sharon Tate murder actually happened and was 15 months old. I have a slight remember of being with him in Macon just before death and seems was in a house close there just before.??? Very vague but I took photo at Elvis and remember and so does the forensics photographer who was taking care of me till parents came to get me. All dates on Tate are wrong. I remember who real murders were and still at large two of them. Contact me if you like.

    Your story about Duane's accident is all wrong. The truck did NOT make a sudden stop in front of Duane. Duane did not hit the truck. The truck had cleared the intersection. Duane became airborne after hitting the crest of the hill before the intersection. Upon landing, the front wheel of the bike turned sideways and Duane flew over the handlebars. The bike dug into the pavement leaving gouge marks in the road. The bike landed on Duane and then continued down Hillcrest avenue. Duane did not slide down the road with the bike on top of him. The police report exonerates the truck driver of any wrong doing in this accident.

      Truck turned in front of Duane. And stopped . Duane laid the bike down to avoid the striking the truck. Now sliding Bike and Duane then flipped over putting Duane underneath the bike as said in video. The gauges were left from Duane laying the bike down. Truck driver was exonerated bc Duane was speeding. There has never been any account of Duane getting airborne though. There is no possibility of getting a bike airborne on that point of hillcrest without building a jump. I’ve driven that road thousands of times while living in Macon for 13 years

    • @paulfrombrooklyn5409
      @paulfrombrooklyn5409 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@darrenmcclellan9869 Police said that the truck DID NOT turn in front of Duane. The truck had completed it's turn. The police concluded that Duane DID become airborne. He liked getting up speed so he could get airborne. Sorry pal, You are wrong. The injuries Duane suffered could only be inflicted by a motorcycle bouncing up in the air and coming down hard on his chest. Duane had no visible injuries. How could he slide down the street with a motorcycle on top of him and have no visible injuries? How could the bike wind up 90 feet down the road if it was on top of Duane while he slid on the pavement? How could there be gouge marks in the pavement if the bike didn't hit the pavement hard and bounce up. If Duane laid the bike down and slid on the street with the bike on top of him, how could there be gouge marks in the pavement before the intersection? Sorry pal, this video is wrong!!!!
